Abstract

This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study method, namely collecting data through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation. The results show that accreditation contributes significantly to improving the quality of education by encouraging increased teacher competence, better school management, and improved facilities. The school experienced an increase in student learning motivation, where 75% of students reported being more motivated after accreditation. In addition, 70% of parents stated that good educational facilities contributed greatly to children's interest in learning. This study provides a new perspective on the effectiveness of accreditation in remote schools that face unique challenges compared to urban areas. Despite constraints in infrastructure and resources, the accreditation program has been shown to improve educational standards. The conclusion of this study confirms that the accreditation program is not only important to meet national education standards, but also plays a role in creating a more conducive learning environment, improving the quality of education, and increasing public awareness of the importance of quality education in remote areas.

Abstract

The study aims to analyse: (1) a viable management model for training reflective maternal methods based on human sensitivity; and (2) an effective management model for training reflective maternal methods based on human sensitivity. The research was conducted using a Research and Development method with an ADDIE approach. The sample comprised 30 teachers from special schools for the hearing impaired, originating from 5 such schools in Deli Serdang Regency. The results concluded: (1) the reflective maternal training model based on human sensitivity is suitable for enhancing the performance of teachers in special schools for the hearing impaired in Deli Serdang Regency, with ratings from media experts, design experts, and language experts exceeding 90% in the very good category; and (2) the reflective maternal training model based on human sensitivity is effective in improving the performance of teachers in special schools for the hearing impaired in Deli Serdang Regency, with an N-Gain Score of g = 0.7284 > 0.7 and a percentage of 72.84%. Moreover, the research findings indicated improvements in the following aspects: lesson planning by 70.00%; lesson implementation by 63.33%; and evaluation of learning outcomes by 70.00%. The research results are expected to provide recommendations to the Provincial Education Office of North Sumatra, the Deli Serdang Regency Government, heads of special schools, and teachers of children with special needs to help students become independent and educated individuals.

Abstract

Cooperation between Vocational High Schools (SMK) and the Business World and Industry (DUDI) is an important strategy in improving the quality of graduates to meet the needs of the workforce. This study aims to examine the role of cooperation between Islamic boarding school-based Vocational High Schools (SMK) and the business world and industry (DUDI) in improving the quality of graduates. The main problem raised is the gap between graduate competencies and the increasingly dynamic needs of the industry, especially in Islamic boarding school-based education that combines vocational and Islamic curriculum. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation studies at 3 Islamic boarding school vocational schools that are industry partners in Banyuwangi Regency. The results of the study indicate that strategic collaboration with DUDI has a positive impact on improving technical skills, discipline, and work readiness of graduates. The integration of Islamic boarding school values provides superior work ethics that are an added value in the eyes of the industry. Further findings state that the challenges of limited facilities, lack of linkage and match of the curriculum, and suboptimal communication are still obstacles

Abstract

This study aims to identify the challenges and dynamics in the implementation of clinical supervision to improve the professionalism of educators at MA Mukhtar Syafa'at school. The method used is a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection through in-depth interviews, direct observation, and documentation analysis. Key informants include educational supervisors, principals, and teachers. The results of the study indicate several major challenges in the implementation of clinical supervision, including differences in perception between supervisors and teachers regarding the purpose of supervision, lack of skills of supervisors in providing constructive feedback, and high teacher workloads that limit participation in supervision. In addition, it was found that clinical supervision is often considered an administrative formality without providing a significant impact on teacher professional development. Observations also revealed that although the reflective approach has begun to be implemented, its implementation is often inconsistent. This study recommends the need for ongoing training for supervisors to improve supervision competencies, integration of clinical supervision with teacher work schedules, and development of supervision guidelines that are relevant to the local context. These findings are expected to provide strategic insights to improve the effectiveness of clinical supervision and support educator professionalism in a sustainable manner

Abstract

The main objective of this study is to conduct an in-depth analysis and identify how SMK Puspa Bangsa 2 balances the pressure to maintain academic prestige with the need for appealing (often gimmicky) marketing strategies in its efforts to attract and retain prospective students, as well as to evaluate the impact of this balance on the school's image and perceived educational quality. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with a single case study strategy at SMK Puspa Bangsa 2 to understand the paradox between academic prestige and marketing strategies. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with the principal, marketing team, teachers, students, and parents; participatory observation of promotional activities; and document analysis, such as brochures and academic reports. Data analysis was conducted using thematic techniques. Validity was ensured through triangulation and member checking, and research ethics were upheld through written consent and the protection of informants' identities. This approach enables a deep understanding of the impact of marketing on the school's image and quality. The results of this study indicate that a crisis of trust at SMK Puspa Bangsa 2 arises due to an imbalance between symbolic marketing strategies and the actual quality of education. Excessive visual promotion is not matched by academic transparency, resulting in disappointment and a decline in student loyalty. The community’s positive perception is more shaped by social media imagery than by actual quality. Therefore, the school needs to shift its communication strategy to be more honest and educational, and to empower the public to critically and rationally assess educational quality—not merely based on visual appearances..

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengintegrasikan optimalisasi manajemen mutu total melalui penerapan manajemen strategis, dalam merespon manajemen yang belum optimal, budaya sekolah yang lemah, mutu pembelajaran yang rendah. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus, sedangkan teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara, observasi, dan analisis dokumen. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa optimalisasi manajemen mutu total melalui penerapan manajemen strategis di MA Al-Amiriyyah Blokagung berperan signifikan dalam peningkatan mutu pendidikan. Madrasah meningkatkan mutu pendidikan melalui penerapan manajemen strategis dan penerapan manajemen mutu total. Penerapan Total Quality Management (TQM) yang terintegrasi dengan manajemen strategis berimplikasi positif terhadap peningkatan mutu pendidikan di lingkungan sekolah.

Abstract

Modernization has had a significant impact on various aspects of life, including the world of education. In the context of Islamic education, modernization poses major challenges, especially in terms of adaptation to technology, globalization, and changes in social values. Islamic educational institutions must face the dualism between maintaining traditional values and meeting the demands of the times. This study aims to identify the challenges faced by Islamic educational institutions, especially at MTs Negeri 8 Banyuwangi, and how these challenges can be turned into opportunities. The focus of this study includes technological literacy in Islamic education, character development of students, and management of Islamic educational institutions in the midst of modernization. Through a qualitative approach and case studies, this study found that the use of technology such as online classes and Islamic learning applications can improve the quality of education without sacrificing Islamic values. In addition, character education is an important element in forming individuals who are intellectually intelligent and have noble morals. The integration of technological literacy with character education, as well as the application of Islamic principles in educational management, is believed to be able to create a globally competitive generation without losing their spiritual identity. This study provides an important contribution in formulating practical solutions for Islamic educational institutions to optimize the potential of modernization while maintaining the integrity of religious values.

Abstract

Literacy includes more than just the ability to read and write, but also the ability to think critically and analytically in understanding information. In Islamic education, literacy-based learning management is an important solution to improve the quality of learning. This approach integrates Islamic values with literacy skills, so that students not only understand religious knowledge but are also able to apply these values in everyday life. This study aims to analyze the strategy of literacy-based learning management in Islamic education at the Elementary School level, as well as to identify supporting and inhibiting factors. This study is expected to contribute to the development of a contextual and innovative Islamic education model. This study uses a literature study method to analyze the concept of literacy-based learning management in Islamic education in Elementary Schools. The results of the study indicate that literacy-based Islamic Education learning management plays a significant role in increasing students' interest in reading and writing. Islamic-based literacy not only hones reading and writing skills, but also helps students internalize the moral and spiritual values contained in Islamic texts. This increase in literacy skills strengthens students' abilities to analyze, organize ideas, and apply insights in everyday life. In addition, Islamic-based literacy contributes to the development of students' characters such as honesty, responsibility, and empathy. Teacher support in integrating literacy through relevant reading materials and active learning methods plays an important role in creating meaningful learning experiences. Therefore, Islamic education-based literacy strategies can be a solid foundation in forming a generation of intelligent Muslims with superior character.

Abstract

Critical thinking skills in elementary school students are something that must be developed, because it will make students able to think logically. Practicing critical thinking will have an impact on analyzing a problem that exists around them. The purpose of this study was to examine the development of research on the critical thinking skills of elementary school students with a Qualitative approach to the Computational Bibliometric analysis method using Vosviewer. Data were collected with Publish or Perish from the Google Scholar database with a range of 2021 to 2025 as many as 1,000 journals. The results of the study showed that research on critical thinking of elementary school students has increased every year. Recent research tends to examine more innovative and contextual learning approaches, such as project-based and inquiry-based learning, for students' critical thinking skills. Recent research also focuses more on developing critical thinking skills to be integrated into the applicable curriculum, including the independent curriculum. Research on the critical thinking skills of elementary school students has grown rapidly in the last five years, but those related to computational thinking, inquiry, and independent curriculum are still little discussed so that they can be opportunities for further research

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the application of the Tartila method in enhancing the ability to read and write the Qur'an at MIN 1 Probolinggo using a qualitative approach. The Tartila method, which emphasizes gradual and structured learning, is designed to assist students in understanding and mastering the recitation of the Qur'an, while also facilitating their ability to write the Qur'anic verses accurately and properly. In this study, data were collected through in-depth interviews and direct observations involving the head of the madrasa, the head of the TPQ, and teachers who serve as Tartila instructors. The main focus of this study is to evaluate the impact of applying the Tartila method on students' Qur'anic reading and writing skills. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of the Tartila method has a significant influence in improving students' reading and writing abilities, as well as deepening their understanding and spiritual appreciation of the content and meaning of the verses they read and write. This method has proven effective in helping students memorize and write the Qur'an in an easier and more structured manner. Furthermore, the study also shows that learning using the Tartila method can enhance students' motivation and interest in Qur'anic studies. It is hoped that the findings will contribute significantly to the development of more innovative and effective Qur'anic teaching methods in the future
