Abstract

Activities Based Contemporary (PABC) learning model on gross motor skills, especially balance, and learning concentration in children aged 4-5 years. The background of the study shows that there is a high percentage of children aged 4-5 years at Al Irsyad Kindergarten, Banyuwangi Regency who have less than optimal balance (74.5%) and learning concentration (71.1%). This is identified as one of the reasons for the tendency of children to spend more and more time with passive activities in front of the screen of gadgets. This study uses a quantitative approach with a design that involves statistical tests to measure the influence of PABC. The subjects of the study were children aged 4-5 years at Al Irsyad Kindergarten Banyuwangi. Data were collected through observation using motor ability and concentration observation sheets. Data analysis includes normality tests, homogeneity tests, validity tests, reliability tests, as well as Independent Sample T-Test and Paired Sample T-Test. The PABC model itself is an integration of physical activity with contemporary elements that are relevant to children, emphasizing freedom of movement, self-expression, and the use of games as a fun and effective learning method. Its implementation is manifested in a series of physical obstacles such as "Army Tunnel", "Obstacle Jump", "Rocking Bridge", and "Sniping Target", and uses the syntax of the AREK method (Observe, Plan Action, Exploration, Communication). The results of this study are expected to provide empirical evidence on the contribution of PABC in improving gross motor skills and early childhood learning concentration, as well as providing a scientific basis for the development of innovative learning programs that are in accordance with the needs of children's development in the digital era.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the role of transformational leadership in enhancing teacher professionalism at MTS Ad-Darut Tauhid. The research employs a descriptive qualitative approach, using data collection techniques such as interviews, observations, and documentation involving the head of the madrasah, vice principals, curriculum staff, and teachers. The findings indicate that transformational leadership is implemented through role modeling, motivational support, encouragement of innovation, individual attention, involvement of teachers in decision-making, and developmental supervision. Supporting factors in the implementation of this leadership style include a positive organizational culture and support from stakeholders. In contrast, inhibiting factors consist of limited technological infrastructure and low digital literacy among teachers. This study confirms that transformational leadership not only enhances teacher professionalism but also fosters a collaborative and innovative school environment.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the phenomenon of Islamic political convergence through the electoral behavior of Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) members in Trenggalek towards the Prosperous Justice Party (PKS) and to analyze its impact on the configuration and dynamics of the local political map. This phenomenon is interesting because historically, NU is known to have cultural and political closeness to the National Awakening Party (PKB), while PKS is more representative of the modernist Islamic movement. Changes in the orientation of NU voters who show affiliation or sympathy towards PKS raise theoretical and empirical questions regarding the shift in Islamic political identity and the potential for the formation of new political spaces at the local level. The method used in this study isSystematic Literature Review(SLR) on 21 scientific articles published in the period 2013–2023, both from accredited national journals and reputable international journals. The articles reviewed were evaluated based on the suitability of the focus on the theme of Islamic political convergence, the relationship between NU and PKS, and changes in voter behavior at the local level. The results of the analysis show that political convergence between NU and PKS members is made possible by political pragmatism factors, PKS's inclusive digital preaching strategy, and the weakening of the ideological identity of traditional mass-based parties. In Trenggalek, this tendency has an impact on the shifting configuration of local political power, the weakening of PKB's dominance, and the emergence of a new electoral coalition configuration. In conclusion, Islamic political convergence opens up opportunities for more competitive local democratic dynamics, but at the same time challenges traditional ideological identities. The implications are important to consider in campaign design, Islamic political consolidation, and strengthening the value-based voter base.

Abstract

This study explores the relationship between organizational ethical climate, emotional intelligence, and empowerment among heads of educational departments at Al-Mustofa International University in Iran. The research aims to examine how an ethical climate within the university influences emotional intelligence and how emotional intelligence, in turn, affects the empowerment of department heads. A quantitative approach was used, with data collected from 60 department heads through a structured survey. The results revealed a moderate positive correlation between organizational ethical climate and emotional intelligence, indicating that a positive ethical environment enhances emotional intelligence among leaders. Furthermore, emotional intelligence was found to have a strong positive correlation with empowerment, suggesting that department heads with higher emotional intelligence feel more empowered in their roles. The study also highlighted a weaker, yet significant, relationship between organizational ethical climate and empowerment, emphasizing the importance of an ethical environment in fostering a sense of empowerment. The findings suggest that universities can benefit from fostering ethical climates and developing emotional intelligence among their leaders. Recommendations for future research include exploring the role of emotional intelligence in other academic settings and conducting longitudinal studies to examine the long-term effects on leadership effectiveness.

Abstract

This study examines the effectiveness of integrating mindfulness, project-based learning, and empowerment approaches into school curricula to improve students’ emotional, social, and psychological well-being. The study aims to evaluate the impact of these strategies in addressing the challenges of academic stress and supporting students’ holistic development. The methods used include interviews with school principals, activity observations, and analysis of related documents. Data were collected through structured interviews, participant observation, and literature review. Data analysis suggests that mindfulness practices such as meditation, breathing, and reflection sessions can reduce stress by up to 20%, improve focus, and strengthen emotional regulation. Project-based learning has been shown to improve students’ social skills by 30%, with team collaboration and social contribution strengthening empathy and a sense of responsibility. The empowerment approach through interest-based learning increases intrinsic motivation by 30% and students’ self-control, supporting academic and non-academic balance. The results show that the integration of these three approaches systematically supports students’ development not only academically, but also emotionally, socially, and personally, creating individuals who are more resilient, caring, and connected to their community. The study recommends strengthening teacher training, curriculum flexibility, and outreach to parents to support the overall implementation of the program. The integration of these approaches demonstrates the importance of adaptive curricular management for holistic student well-being.

Abstract

This research aims to explore the planning, implementation, and the supporting and inhibiting factors in the development of global diversity character through the Strengthening Project of Pancasila Student Profiles and Rahmatan lil Alamin Student Profiles (P5PPRA) at MAN Kota Binjai. The background of this study is the growing concern over intolerance and the weakening of national values among the younger generation due to the influence of social media. Using a qualitative ethnographic approach, data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation, involving school principals, teachers, and students as informants. The results indicate that the P5PPRA project has been systematically planned and contextually implemented to foster tolerance, empathy, and appreciation for diversity among students. Although challenges such as limited facilities and variations in teacher understanding persist, strong institutional support contributes to the program's success. This project has the potential to serve as a replicable model for character education in other Islamic schools.

Abstract

Abstract

This study aims to describe the management of the implementation of the Independent Curriculum (Kurikulum Merdeka) at two senior high schools—SMA Negeri 3 and SMA Negeri 7 Banjarmasin—by focusing on three main aspects: implementation readiness, principal strategies, and efforts to develop teacher professionalism. The research employed a qualitative approach with a multi-site study design. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation, and then analyzed both individually (per site) and across sites. The findings reveal that both schools have demonstrated readiness in developing school-based curricula, preparing teaching modules, and designing learning tools aligned with student characteristics. SMA Negeri 3 emphasizes internal development based on input from the school community, while SMA Negeri 7 refers more to guidelines from the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology (Kemendikbudristek). The principals’ strategies in implementing the Independent Curriculum include supervision, coaching, reflection, and providing feedback. At SMA Negeri 3, the approach is more collaborative and participatory, involving parents and the wider community, whereas SMA Negeri 7 adopts a more systematic and structured approach. In terms of developing teacher professionalism, both schools conduct training, support certification upgrades, and utilize digital learning platforms. Cross-site findings show that differences in managerial strategies lead to variations in curriculum implementation; however, both schools face similar challenges in the areas of evaluation and ongoing monitoring. This study recommends strengthening the evaluation system and providing more context-based teacher training to ensure that the implementation of the Independent Curriculum is optimal and sustainable
