Al-Irsyad: The Counseling and Education Journal is scientific journal in education and counseling guidance that managed by The Bimbingan Konseling Islam Majors of Ilmu Tarbiyah dan Keguruan Faculty of UIN Sumatera Utara Medan. Al-Irsyad presents topics about development of counseling guidance profession as a teacher based on the four competence of a teacher. They are pedagogic, personal, social, and professional. Besides that, Al-Irsyad is also emphasize to the integration of islamic values. Al-Irsyad is published two times in a year. There are January-June edition and July-December edition. The first edition of Al-Irsyad was Vol.1, No.1, January-June Edition on 2012, but was not yet have p-ISSN and e-ISSN. Then, in Vol.5, No. 1, January-June Edition on 2015 was published in print with p-ISSN: 2088-8341. Further, Vol. 10, No.1, January-June 2020 Edition on 2020 edition publish OJS with e-ISSN: 2686-2859.

Abstract

Abstract: Tujuan kajian ini adalah untuk mengetahui strategi dan upaya meningkatkan kesiapan belajar siswa melalui pendekatan Behavioral. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian berbasis literatur atau studi pustaka. Hasil pembahasan adalah meningkatkan kesiapan belajar siswa dapat dilakukan melalui pendekatan behavioral, pendekatan ini bertujuan bahwa aksi, pendidikan, dan pembelajaran dipandang sebagai inti dari terapi. Siswa mempelajari perilaku baru (adaptif) untuk menggantikan perilaku lama (maladaptif) sehingga siswa mendapatkan cara bertindak yang sehat dan konsruktif. Teknik yang digunakan adalah pengkondisian operan. Prinsip utama pengkondisian operan adalah penguatan positif, penguatan negatif, kepunahan, hukuman positif dan hukuman negatif. Hasil dari konseling adalah untuk meningkatkan perilaku target, yaitu siswa siap menerima pelajaran baru dalam proses pembelajaran.Keyword: Belajar, Kesiapan belajar,  Pendekatan Behavioral.

Abstract

Broken home is a condition that is not harmonious family. One reason for thebroken home because of a divorce between a husband and wife. These conditions affecttheir children, such as lack of affection, do not get proper care and academic failure.However, in the field found a few students who have high academic achievement. Thepurpose of this study is comparing the factors that allow for differences in the academicachievement of children who come from a broken home. The research was conducted inSMK 2 Gunung Talang. The study used form of case studies. Capturing subjects in thisstudy using purposive sampling technique. Analysis of the data using Miles andHuberman interactive model. The conclusion of this study is the difference in academicachievement experienced by students is caused by a broken home: (1) the relationshipwith their parents; students with high achievement have good relationship, studentswith low achievement have not good enough in their relationship, (2) the relationshipwith their teachers; student with high achievement have good relationship, student lowachievement have not good enough in their relationship, (3) the relationship with theirfriends; students with high achievement have good relationship, students with lowachievement have not good enough in their relationship, (4) students attitude tothemselves and family; student with high achievement have good attitude with openbehavior, students with low achievement have introvert behavior, (5) ways of studentslearning; students with high achievement payfull attention on in learning and routineschedule, students with low achievement payless attention to the teachers explanation androutine in learning schedule.Keywords: Analysis, Students, Broken home.PENDAHULUAN

Abstract

Humans were created as caliphs on this earth. As a caliph, humans have a heavy mandate to be able to devote themselves as servants of Allah SWT and mercy to all nature. In the concept of Islamic Psychology, humans have a nature that has good and bad potential. The nature itself in its history can be approached with two groups of meanings, namely a large meaning that is religious, and the paradigmatic meaning that is knowledge paradigm.Keywords: Human, nature, religious, knowledge.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the role of BK teacher in increasing the motivation for learning students who are smartphone addicted through group guidance services. This study used qualitative analysis and used the subject called an informer, that is the principal, BK teacher, teachers and the students of 3rd grade of MAN Batu Bara determined by using purposive sampling it is choice of samples by considering that an informant who understands, knows, and feels firsthand the issues that are occurring. This study shows that the role of BK teacher conducted by a group guidance service that the BK teacher has been given to students of MAN Batu Bara systematically and continually makes positive and effective changes for increasing of student's learning motivation in smartphone addiction, the student who originally used a smartphone to just play games, social media and browsing are now being used to increase the learning motivations by using various learning applications, learning self through online videos and subscriptions with online learning guide such as www.quipper.com and www.ruangguru.com.Keywords: role of BK teacher, student learning motivation for smartphone addicted.

Abstract

Kondisi Pandemi Covid-19 yang terjadi membuat pemerintah memberlakukan belajar daring/ belajar dari rumah. Siswa dituntut harus mampu beradaptasi dengan keadaan yang baru. melalui berbagai jenis layanan konseling dapat membantu siswa dalam meningkatkan kebiasaan belajar selama masa pandemi covid 19. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh gambaran tentang kebiasaan belajar siswa di rumah dimasa pandemi covid-19. Hasil yang diperoleh adalah bahwa kebiasaan belajar siswa berada pada kategori sedang sebesar 66,7%. Layanan konseling yang dapat diberikan dalam membantu meningkatkan kebiasaan belajar siswa antara lain konseling individual melalui konseling online dan layanan konsultasi bagi orangtua siswa.

Abstract

The phenomenons occur are student not realistic in choosing further education, student not ready to choose further education, and student confused in choosing colleges and majors which they wish to enter. One of the services that used to help career direction planning’s students is a group guidance services. This study aims to determine the effect of group guidance services on the student’s careers direction planning. Research uses quantitative methods. The research type is a Quasi Experiment with the design of the Non-Equivalent Control Group. Subjects of this study amounted to 20 students. The instrument used a scale model of Likert. Research data were analyzed used Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test of non-parametric statistical, and Kolmogorov -Smirnov 2 Independent Samples with SPSS version 20.00. The results of this research generally that group guidance services influence on the student’s career direction planning. Based on the above findings, it can be concluded that student’s career direction planning can be enhanced with group guidance services.Keywords: Career Direction Planning and Group Guidance Services

Abstract

This research is motivated by the many problems students have in terms of self-concept. This study aims to describe students' self-concept. This research uses descriptive quantitative method. The population of the study population was Class XI and XII Students of Padang 8 Public High School, totaling 464 people. The sample amounted to 215 people, who were selected by the proportional stratified random sampling technique. The instrument used is scale. The results of the validity and reliability test of the self-concept instrument state that the research instrument is valid and reliable. Data were analyzed by descriptive statistics. The findings of this study show that on average students' self-concept images are in the positive category. The implications of the results of the study can be used as input to make a program of guidance and counseling services.Keywords: Self Concept, Implication of Guidance and Counseling

Abstract

Parameters of LIS (Line in Service) customers and sales Indihome the end of 2015 showed symptoms that customers are reluctant to migrate existing services to Indihome. One of the factors that affect customer retention is the brand equity. This study aims to determine the significance of brand equity influence on customer retention. The results showed that the overall contribution of the influence of the independent variables, namely:differentiation, relevance, esteem, and knowledge, are air-alike on the migratory behavior (customer retention) to Indihome was 60.3%. The remainder of the contribution is determined by factors other than the so-called predictor in this study. The study thus shows that both the variable relevance, differentiation, knowledge, and awards have significantlyinfluenced the migration service, with variable relevance seba-gai factors that most influence on customer retention. In connection with the results and discussion of this study, it is expected that their further studies to investigate other indicators (39.7%) affecting existing customers willing to migrate to Indihome. Based on the results of research of thisaddition, the company management needs to formulate strategic policies related variables relevance, differentiation, knowledge, and awards to increase the number of existing customers who are willing to migrate to Indihome.Keywords: Ekuitas Merek, Telkom, Pelanggan.

Abstract

Punishment in the world of education is often carried out by educators, ranging from light punishment to severe punishment, both physical and mental punishment. However, these penalties will have a negative impact on children. Therefore, efforts are made to avoid penalties, especially physical punishment which can endanger students. Punishment in Islamic education is permissible as a demand for and improvement of students' behavior or behavior in a good direction so that they will not repeat mistakes again, as guidance or guidance from an educator towards the students that the correction he has done is an improper act.
