Abstract

PT DUPOIN Palembang Branch is one of the companies experiencing efficiency problems in its employee attendance management system. Currently, attendance recording is still carried out manually using paper-based documents stored in filing cabinets. Along with the increasing number of employees and operational activities, this conventional system has caused various issues, such as slow data recapitulation, frequent recording errors, and difficulties in conducting periodic attendance analysis. Moreover, the absence of an integrated attendance history makes it challenging for management to objectively evaluate employee discipline and performance. This study aims to address these issues by implementing a web-based electronic attendance system as a digitalization effort in human resource management. The proposed system enables real-time attendance monitoring, online access to attendance reports, and more transparent and accountable data management. Features such as user authentication, access control, automated reporting, and cloud-based data storage provide significant advantages over manual systems. In addition, the system supports flexible work models, including remote and hybrid working arrangements, while maintaining data accuracy and minimizing fraud through location- and time-based validation. The implementation of this system is expected to improve administrative efficiency, enhance decision-making, and support a more adaptive and productive work environment.

Abstract

This research aims to develop a web-based and mobile-based academic information system to simplify the process of recording student attendance at SMPN 33 Buton. The manual attendance system creates various obstacles such as delays in recording, data inaccuracy, and difficulties in monitoring. This system is designed using the Waterfall development method which includes the stages of needs analysis, design, implementation, testing, and deployment. Web technology is used for the admin and teacher dashboards, while mobile technology is used by students to record attendance. The system backend is supported by a structured database to ensure the efficiency and accuracy of data processing. The results of the development show that this system can simplify the process of recording student attendance and help the school in managing attendance data more effectively.

Abstract

This study focuses on analyzing the quality of service (QoS) and measuring the quality of the internet network on the Starlink network In Karya Jaya Village, this study uses the QoS parameter measurement method. The parameters used include delay, jitter, packet loss, and throughput. This measurement is done using the Wireshark application to monitor and capture the traffic of data packets in the network. This application provides detailed information about network performance and can identify potential problems in the data transmission process. The throughput measurement results showed that the throughput was higher during sunny weather, with a value of 74k, compared to the rainy weather time which only reached 158k. Despite the difference in throughput values, the two values still showed "Excellent" performance. Throughput is one of the main indicators that shows efficient network performance. These findings offer a unique contribution by providing real-world case-based analysis relevant to the needs of modern networks.

Abstract

The bakery business as one of the fast-growing small and medium enterprises (SMEs) sector needs technological solutions that are able to meet the needs of fast and accurate transactions. The researcher found problems with the cashier system in the bakery where it still often uses conventional transactions due to various obstacles, such as limitations in recording transactions, difficulties in monitoring stock in real time, and a long-time reporting process. This condition can hinder productivity and timely decision-making. This research aims to develop a website-based digital cashier system, bakery businesses can optimize their operations through integrated features. The method used in designing the system is Waterfall, which includes the stages of needs analysis, One of the important features is real-time transactions, which allow the cashier to record sales directly and synchronize the data to the server. In addition, the real-time report feature makes it easier for bakery business owners to monitor business performance instantly, without having to wait for a manual recapitulation process. A web-based digital cashier system for bakeries is a relevant and strategic solution because it can provide added value to bakery business management, both in terms of operational efficiency and increased customer satisfaction. By utilizing this technology, it is hoped that bakeries can compete more effectively in an increasingly competitive market

Abstract

Kotanegara Village, fresh fish agents still tend to use traditional methods in carrying out their operations, such as manual recording and word-of-mouth promotions, Manual processes that are still relied on often lead to recording errors, delivery delays, and customer dissatisfaction. This further emphasizes the importance of developing web-based technologies to support their businesses. Limited understanding of technology and lack of access to easy-to-use digital platforms are one of the main factors The application of the design thinking method has proven to be effective in producing interface designs and user experiences that suit the needs of local customers, especially for fresh fish agents in Kotanegara Village. Through the stages of empathize, define, ideate, prototype, and test, this method is able to identify key problems in traditional businesses, create innovative web-based solutions, and test and optimize prototypes until they are ready for implementation. The result is a UI/UX design that improves operational efficiency, provides a better customer experience, and supports the digital transformation of the business, thereby driving business growth and competitiveness of fresh fish agents.

Abstract

Kotanegara Village is located in East Ogan Komering Ulu (OKU) Regency, South Sumatra, and the majority of its residents make a living as farmers, especially rice. This village has abundant natural potential, but faces challenges in accessibility, infrastructure, and fluctuations in the price of agricultural products. Village communities implement a culture of mutual cooperation and still depend on the agricultural sector for their livelihood. problems faced by farmers in Kotanegara Village in promoting rice crops, especially due to the lack of access to effective promotional media. Most farmers still use conventional methods. The researcher aims to create a Website-Based UI/UX Application Design for Rice Crop Collectors in Kotanegara Village with the Design Thinking Method" aims to provide innovative solutions that focus on user needs. Through the Design Thinking method, this study succeeded in designing an application prototype designed to make it easier for collectors to manage crop yields, access market price information, and improve coordination with farmers. The results of this study show that the application of website-based technology can support work efficiency, transparency, and better data management.

Abstract

The development of Internet use on campus will automatically affect the need for bandwidth. To run the Internet smoothly, an adequate bandwidth quota is needed. If the usage exceeds the existing bandwidth service, the smooth Internet network will be stalled or stopped. The cessation or stagnation of Internet network services will certainly interfere with the process of comfort of lectures and student services on campus. Therefore, it is necessary to optimize the use of bandwidth in Internet use. Optimization can be done by using the load balancing setting path to balance when traffic is full where the main path will be backed up with another path from the backup ISP. The load balancing technique also has a positive effect on network availability. With more even load sharing, the risk of server failure can be reduced, leading to an increase in overall network availability. This shows that load balancing is essential in maintaining stable and reliable network performance, especially on systems involving multiple clients. Better Network Optimization with Load Balancing. Overall, this study shows that the application of load balancing can optimize the use of network resources. Through this technique, the network can operate more efficiently, reduce bottlenecks, and ensure a fair distribution of load between servers, leading to improved network performance. Based on the tests carried out in this study, the optimal application of load balancing is achieved. The implementation of load balancing can run without changing the existing network, and makes the connection run more optimally if there is an increase in network traffic due to a balanced division of connection lanes

Abstract

Technological developments in the field of information systems have brought significant changes in the way we conduct transactions, communicate, and access services. One of the aspects that is focused on in the development of a website-based information system is the design of the user interface (UI) and user experience (UX). With technological advancements and wider adoption, intuitive, accessible, and user-friendly UI/UX design has become essential to ensure that information systems can meet users' needs efficiently and effectively. This study aims to evaluate user experience focusing on the ease of use and effectiveness of the user interface (UI) on the SkylarTopup information system. This process involves identifying challenges faced by users in interacting with the website, such as difficulties in navigation, slow response times, and design aspects that can be improved. Through SUS-based analysis, it is hoped that recommendations can be generated to improve the quality of UI/UX, so that SkylarTopup's information system can be more optimal, efficient, and better meet user needs. The results of the SUS score obtained show that although this system can be used quite well, there is potential for a significant improvement in terms of usability.

Abstract

Choosing the right moisturizer for your skin type is an important aspect of skin care to maintain health and avoid problems such as irritation, dryness, or excess oil production. However, users often have difficulty finding the right choice due to the wide variety of products available on the market. Therefore, this study aims to develop a Decision Support System that can help users choose the most suitable moisturizer based on their skin type, by utilizing the Decision Tree method. This method is used because it is able to classify skin types based on various parameters, such as moisture level, sensitivity, oil content, and tendency towards acne. This system is built by processing a dataset containing skin characteristics and the appropriate moisturizer content. The results of the study show that the developed system has a high level of accuracy in providing recommendations according to needs. With this system, users can easily find the right moisturizer for their skin type, thus supporting more optimal skin care.

Abstract

The use of manual locks such as keys, this type of locking is easy to duplicate, prone to loss if taken on a trip and if you forget to close the door, it will provide an opportunity for other people to enter the house or to a private room, for that a door locking device is needed that can provide ease of use from conventional locking, namely using automatic locking using a knock pattern. This research aims to design a door security system. Based on the results of the design and testing of the Arduino-based automatic door locking system using passwords that have been carried out by researchers, it can be concluded that the automatic door locking system using this password can be made and operated using the ATMega328 microcontroller as a control center and circuit and programmed using Arduino IDE software. The Arduino Uno microcontroller can control the automatic door locking working system according to the instruction sequence. The research method used in this research is the field research method. The field research method aims to directly observe the object being studied to obtain the necessary information.
