Abstract

Unfulfillment of waste service ratetarget, low-quality of waste temporary shelter, and the basic needs to increase waste service rates become the foundation to analyze the financial aspect. This can be conductedby calculating and analyzing public’s Willingness to Pay (WTP) to waste management service improvements in Ujungberung Sub-District. The objectives of this research are to know the percentage of people’s WTP towards the rise of waste service rates and analyze factors that can affect the WTP. The chosen method for this research is Contingent Valuation Method (CVM) with Payment Card as its technique.  By using Cross-Section method, there are 66 people selected to be the samples of this study. Online questionnaire is used to collect the data. The percentage of public’s WTP is 88% with the value of average WTP is Rp 31.288 and the value of total WTP is RP 113.575.000. Based on the multiple linear regression analysis, the factors significantly affecting the value of WTP are age and existing waste service rates.

Abstract

Air lindi mengandung bahan bahan organic yang membusuk dan bahan – bahan logam berat. Logam berat (Cr, Hg, Pb, Cu,Fe, Mn, Zl, Cl) yang ada di dalam air lindi berasal dari sampah yang telah dibuang ke TPA Keudah Kota Banda Aceh. Berdasarkan uraian diatas, maka penulis ingin melakukan penelitian tentang Adsorbsi logam berat dengan menggunakan Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer di Lindi TPA Kota Banda Aceh Dalam Mewujudkan Pembangunan Berkelanjutan. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mendapatkan serapan beberapa logam berat esensial dan non esensial di lindi. Hasil analisa larutan lindi di TPA Kota Banda Aceh dengan menggunakan Atomic Adsorption Spectrohotometer yang paling tinggi serapan nya pada parameter logam berat Besi (Fe) sebesar 10,9191 ppm, dan diikuti dengan parameter logam berat Nikel (Ni) 0,9820 ppm, Seng (Zn) 0,4188 ppm, Cobalt (Co) 0,1698, Tembaga (Cu) 0,1198 ppm, Timbal (Pb) 0,0602 ppm, Krom (Cr) 0,0502 ppm, Merkuri (Hg), serta Kadmium (Cd) yang hasilnya tidak terdeteksi (ND). Parameter kandungan logam berat yang melebihi baku mutu standar SNI berdasarkan Peraturan menteri Lingkungan Hidup Republik Indonesia Nomor 5 Tahun 2014 Tentang Baku Mutu Air Limbah adalah tertinggi besi dan di ikuti oleh Nikel, dan logam berat merkuri. Logam berat Merkuri yang merupakan salah satu logam non eesensial yang tidak dibutuhkan oleh mahkluk hidup harus diwaspadai. Indonesia ke depan masih tetap dihadapkan dengan masalah pencemaran lingkungan sebagai akibat dari pembangunan. Usaha-usaha pemulihan dan rehabilitasi lahan yang tercemar perlu mendapat perhatian bersama, seperti dengan menggunakan metode dilusi, stabilisasi, dan teknik fitoremidiasi, untuk mewujudkan pembangunan berkelanjutan.

Abstract

The social forestry groups in Merangin Regency, Jambi Province consisting of LPHD Lubuk Birah, LPHD Lubuk Beringin dan LPHD Rio Kemunyang are the groups that have been assisted by social forestry assistance. The business in these groups is underdeveloped as indicated by unavailiability of market access, limited capital, weak institutionalism, etc. The objective of this research is to discover strategy of assistance in social forestry groups business development in the 3 (three) aforementioned groups. The data are collected by conducting in-depth interview, observation, and Focus Group Discussion (FGD), also by distributing questionnaires. They are analyzed by using SWOT analysis with Internal Factor Analysis Summary (IFAS) and External Factor Analysis Summary (EFAS). Based on the SWOT analysis, it is found that the position of assistants is at quadrant IV (defensive strategy) which indicates that it is in unfavorable position where weakness and threat are more serious than its strength and opportunity. The strategy of assistance applied today is on increasing capacity of the assistants in business development, conforming outcomes of groups business with market needs, increasing intensity of effective communication and atmosphere with the groups, consolidating strength of the groups and improving communication with government and authorities to encounter threats of land clearing, increasing motivation of assistants, and living in the location when providing assistance.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the work safety climate in the production section of the X Company, crumb rubber industry in Padang City. Respondents were workers in the production section which consists of managerial, wet and dry production. The workers were interviewing and filling in the questionnaire namely a questionnaire with the Nordic Occupational Safety Climate Questionnaire (NOSACQ-50) method. The NOSACQ-50 method consists of 7 dimensions, Research shows that the value of work safety climate in 7 dimensions are 3.31; 3.30; 3.17; 3.28; 2.98; 3.33 and 3.21 and has an average value of 3.23 which is a very good category on a scale of 3-4. There is one dimension, namely the fifth dimension which is still in the good category of 2.98. The characteristics of respondents include age groups, years of service, education, job titles and work sections. Each group of respondents' characteristics was proven to have an influence on work safety climate where there were significant differences in perceptions between groups. The solutions for improvement based on safety climate measurement are to increase knowledge about work safety, takes strict action to implement the use of PPE in the production area, and make periodic checks on all production equipment.

Abstract

DAS Deli merupakan salah satu DAS kritis di propinsi Sumatera Utara yang memerlukan penanganan sebagai lokasi sasaran rehabilitasi. Mata pencaharian sebagian besar penduduk pada lahan dataran tinggi di kawasan hulu DAS Deli adalah bertani. Mereka mengolah lahan pertanian sebesar 82% terutama pada desa-desa di DAS Deli bagian hulu. Keadaan ini menimbulkan kerawanan terhadap erosi dan banjir di daerah hilirnya bila pengelolaan lahan tidak disertai dengan upaya-upaya rehabilitasi lahan dan konservasi tanah dan air. Makalah ini membahas salah satu upaya pengembangan pertanian berkelanjutan berbasis agroekologi yang perlu ditekankan dalam mempertahankan dan meningkatkan produksi pertanian. Penjabarannya mencakup 4 dimensi yaitu dimensi sosial ekonomi, sumberdaya sebagai asset produksi dalam usahatani, peningkatan peranan masyarakat, dan program aksi/implementasi yang realistis. Usaha tani berbasis agroekologi dalam pengelolaan lahan dataran tinggi yang tepat guna dan tepat sasaran dapat memberikan keuntungan ekonomi dan melindungi lahan dan lingkungan secara simultan. Dengan demikian pembangunan pertanian secara berkelanjutan dapat terwujud.

Abstract

PT. Pertamina Fuel Terminal Meulaboh is a business unit of PT. Pertamina (Persero) under the function of Supply Distribution has the main task of carrying out the activities of receiving, stockpiling, and distributing fuel oil. In the distribution and operation processes carried out, 8 risks may occur. Based on the Gray FMEA method, the priority risk that occurs is the delay of the tanker which has the smallest gray relationship, which is 0.435 and the risk of the interconnection of information system support between functions which is still problematic is 0.452. Through the Root Cause Analysis method approach, the root causes of the risk of ship delays are non-routine maintenance/maintenance on ship engines, lack of training for crew members according to function, and bad weather conditions. Meanwhile, the risk of the interconnection of information systems support between functions is still problematic due to the lack of maintenance and network management. The alternative strategy for improvement that can be done by the company is to work with the BMKG to help predict the weather, improve the quality of workers according to their functions, provide adequate equipment and reliable mechanics to carry out SOPs for maintaining ship engines properly and cooperate with service management companies to assist companies in managing and maintaining networks.

Abstract

The combination of Near Infrared (NIR) Spectroscopy and multivariate analysis using Principle Component Analysis (PCA) was developed to detect the presence of borax in meatballs. The conventional analysis used to detect the presence of borax has been considered inefficient because it is only able to qualify for the presence of borax, but cannot determine the dose of borax used. This study aimed to identify the presence of borax in meatballs using NIR Spectroscopy in the 1000-2500 nm range and maximize PCA performance by combining MSC and SNV pre-treatment with Savitzky Golay second derivative. The results showed that the identification of borax can occur at a wavelength of 1800 - 2500 nm, which is indicated by vibrations at a wavelength of 1865 nm with the atomic structure of C-Cl and the combination of pre-treatment of the second derivative of Savitzky Golay also successful for grouping the data to be better.

Abstract

District Aerocity X in Kabupaten Majalengka is a commercial  and industrial area that enhances  economic growth in Provinsi Jawa Barat. The district with an area of 3,480 ha is integrated into  the domestic sector. However, this area  also has the potential  to cause harm  if the waste is not treated.  Following PP No 142 Tahun 2015,  each industrial area  must provide an effective and efficient wastewater treatment plant (WWTP). This design  plan begins with the  analysis  of issues  on the study site . The data were obtained using the Aerocity X District Pre-Development Office  study method .  The method of  designing effective alternatives for WWTP used the weighted ranking technique (WRT), each alternative was compared with two fundamental,  technical and non-technical aspects. The purpose of this design plan is to analyze the index of land and cost requirements for WWTP. The yield of wastewater was 3.99 m3/s. The most effective land and the cost is complete mix-activated sludge. The result of installing  the design plan requires an area of 9,446.5 m2/m3 of wastewater and a cost of Rp5,619.53x106/m3 of wastewater.

Abstract

One of the efforts to reduce plastic waste is as noted by the Ministry of Environment and Forestry issued Circular Number S.1230 / PSLB3-PS / 2016 concerning Reduction of Plastic Waste through Paying for Plastic Bags Paid in all modern retail market outlets in Indonesia. The purpose of this study is to find out how the response of consumers shopping at Suzuya Mall Banda Aceh based on internal and external factors on the implementation of paid plastic bags. The research method used in this study is the SWOT analysis method. The results showed that the internal strategy factor with the highest strength was 3.39 which was to reduce the use of plastic bags in the environment. While the highest weakness value of 2.88 was applied only to retail stores  and considered not comprehensive. The external strategy factor with the highest opportunity value of 3.51 was  giving an opportunity to producers in an environmentally friendly bag craft business.

Abstract

As an industrial manufacture , xyz is an enterprise  that produces mineral water should take into account in detail the processes in each production line in order to minimize the cost of activities of valueless activities. The impact of these activities is that they are excessive and inadequate to meet customer orders. The research focused  on analysing  the activities leading to waste to a glass-type production line based on a lean production approach. A case study based explanation  is a research approach. According to the current state map, according to the current state map of  wasteacross the value stream, the 'ham-filtering' of speakers and the 'cause of process  failure  on production lines' remains to be determined . Research shows that the dominant waste of the  higher sequence is deliberate, the lead time value is 4320 seconds and the cycle time is 60 seconds. Next, the average consumer product of 7.7% exceeds the company's maximum standard. Based on value stream flow map, improvement recommendations as follows: minimize waste, disposal of worthless activities,  5W1H enhancement on the fish edge  diagram and preventative maintenance activities to prevent unavoidable defects along production process activities.
