Abstract

Abstract : The purpose of this research are to find out : 1) the extent of application of list group label strategy on students’ vocabulary mastery at the eighth grade of MTs Darul Akhiroh Marancar. 2) the extant of the students’ vocabulary mastery before and after using list group label strategy on students’ vocabulary mastery at the eighth grade of MTs Darul Akhiroh Marancar, 3) whether there is any significant effect of list group label strategy on students’ vocabulary mastery at the eighth grade of MTs Darul Akhiroh Marancar. The population of this research all of the eight grade students of MTs Darul Akhiroh Marancar consist of 24 students. The sample was 24 students which are taken by total sampling. The research method is used by experimental method. Then, the data collected by using the observation sheet and test. The instrument used is multiple choice. The calculation of t-test formula is higher than score of t-table. The score of t test is 3,13 meanwhile the score of t table is 2,07 at 5 % significant level with (df) 23. And the hypothesis is accepted. It means that there is a significant effect of list group label strategy on students’ vocabulary mastery at the eighth grade of MTs Darul Akhiroh Marancar in 2020/2021 academic year. Keywords: List Group Label Strategy, Vocabulary Mastery Abstrak : Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui : 1) penarapan list group label strategy dalam penguasaan kosa-kata siswa kelas VIII MTs Darul Akhiroh Marancar, 2) mengetahui sebelum dan sesudah penggunaan list group label strategy dalam penguasaan kosa kata siswa kelas VIII MTs Darul Akhiroh Marancar, mengetahui apakah ada pengaruh yang signifikan dari list group label strategy terhadap penguasaan kosa-kata siswa kelas VIII MTs Darul Akhiroh Marancar Tahun Akademik 2020/2021. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII MTs Darul Akhiroh Marancar yang terdiri dari 24, teknik sampling yang digunakan adalah total sampling dengan jumlah 24 siswa. Metode penelitian digunakan adalah ekperimental method. Pengumpulan data menggunakan observation sheet dan tes sebagai instrument. Nilai rata-rata dari penerapan list group label strategy adalah 3.6, dengan kategori “ Sangat Baik”. peneliti menganalisis data menggunakan ttest formula, hasil ttest = 3.13 sedangkan ttable = 2.07. Dengan kata lain ttest lebih besar dari ttable. Jadi, hipotesis diterima. Artinya ada pengaruh yang signifikan dari list group label strategy dalam penguasaan kosakata siswa pada kelas VIII MTs Darul Akhiroh Marancar. Abstract

Abstract: The objective of this research are to know: 1) The application of anagram game in teaching vocabulary mastery, 2) The students’ vocabulary mastery before and after using anagram game, 3) Whether there is a significant effect of anagram game on students’ vocabulary mastery at the eleventh grade students of SMA HarapanPadangsidimpuan. This research uses experimental method with pre-experimental research design; one group pretest-posttest design. The population is all of the eleventh grade students which consist of 104 students and the samples are 31 students gotten by using systematic sampling.In collecting the data, the researcher uses observation sheet to get the data of the application of anagram game and test to get the data of the students’ vocabulary mastery. The result of the application of anagram gameis3.5, it is categorized “very good”. The mean score of the students’ vocabulary masteryis40.09, it is categorized “fail”. Meanwhile after using anagram game was 63.11, it is categorized “enough”. The researcher uses statistic process in analyzing the data by using ttestformula. Based on the data that has been analyzed, the result of data analyzing showed that ttest is higher than ttable (ttest3.75>ttable 2.04). So, the hypothesis is accepted. It means that there is a significant effect of using anagram game on students’ vocabulary mastery at the eleventh grade students of SMA HarapanPadangsidimpuan in 2020/2021 Academic Year. Abstract

Abstract: The purposes of this research are to know: 1) the application of point counter point strategy on teaching speaking ability, 2) the students’speaking ability before and after using point counter point strategy, 3) Whether there is any significant effect of point counter point strategy on teaching speaking ability at the twelfth Grade Students of SMA Negeri 1Batang Onang. This research uses experimental method with the pre-experimental design by using one-group pretest and posttest design. The population of this research was all of the XII grade students’ of SMA Negeri 1Batang Onang which consist of 175 students. Sample were XII MIA 1 which consist of 24 students which taken by purposive sampling. In collecting data the researcher uses observation sheet and oral test as an instrument. The result of this research: 1) the application of point counter point strategy was 3.7, it was categorized “Very Good”. 2) the mean score of the students’ speaking ability was 39 and it was categorized “fail”. Meanwhile, after using point counter point strategy was 63, it is categorized “enough”. The result of data analysis shows that ttest was higher than ttable(ttest22.38>ttable2.07). So, the hypothesis was accepted. It means that, there is any significant effect of point counter point strategy on students’ speaking ability at the XII grade students of SMA N 1Batang Onang. Abstract

The Effect of using Listen Read Discuss (LRD) strategy on Students’ Reading Coprehension of Descriptive text (A Study at the Ninth Grade Students of SMP Negeri 2 Angkola Selatan in 2020/2021 Academic Year) . A Skripsi, English Department Program. Institut Pendidikan Tapanuli Selatan (IPTS). The objective of this research is to know whether there is a significant effect of listen read discuss (LRD) strategy on students’ reading comprehension of descriptive text at the ninth grade students of SMP Negeri 2 Angkola Selatan in 2020/2021 Academic Year. This research uses experimental method with pre-experimental research design; one group pretest-posttest design. The population is all of the ninth grade students which consists of 123 students. Technique sampling that is used on this research is purposive sampling and the number of the samples are 32 students. In collecting the data, the researcher uses observation sheet to get the data of the application of listen read discuss (LRD) strategy and test to get the data of the students’ reading comprehension of descriptive text. The result of the application of listen read discuss (LRD) strategy was 3.58, it is categorized “very good”. The mean score of the students’ reading comprehension of descriptive text before using listen read discuss (LRD) strategy was 37, it is categorized “fail”. Meanwhile after using listen read discuss (LRD) strategy was 68.31, it is categorized “enough”. The researcher uses statistic process in analyzing the data by using ttest formula. Based on the data that had been analyzed, the result of data analyzing showed that ttest is higher than ttable (ttest 21.04> ttable 2.04). So, the hypothesis is accepted. It means that there is a significant effect of listen read discuss (LRD) strategy on students’ reading comprehension of descriptive text at the ninth grade students of SMP Negeri 2 Angkola Selatan in 2020/2021 Academic Year. The purpose of this research are to find out: 1) The application of card sort strategy in teaching vocabulary. 2) Students’ vocabulary mastery before and after using card sort strategy. 3) Whether there is a significant effect of using card sort strategy at the eighth grade of SMP negeri 2 angkola selatan. Method of the research is experimental. The population of this research are all of the eighth grade of SMP negeri 2 angkola selatan that consists of 100 students. Random sampling is used to get the sample of research , the sample consist of 33 students. The technique for collecting data are observation sheet and test. The result of the application of card sort strategy is 3.5 categorized “Very Good”. Before using card sort strategy is 26,94 categorized “Fail”. Meanwhile, after using card sort strategy is 68,21 categorized “Enough”. The result of ttest by use pair sample ttest is The value of Sig. (2-tailed) was greater than significant level (0.000<0.05). it means that there is a significant effect of using card sort strategy in teaching vocabulary at the eighth grade of SMP negeri 2 angkola selatan. Abstract

ABSTRACT The aim of this research are to know: 1) the application of pair check model on teaching reading comprehension of report text, 2) the students reading comprehension of Report Text before and after pair check model, 3) Whether there is any significant effect of pair check model on teaching reading comprehension of report text at the Eleventh Grade Students of SMKS TI Putra Harapan 2. This research uses experimental method with the pre-experimental design by using one-group pretest and posttest design. The population of this research was all of the XI grade students’ of SMKS TI Putra Harapan 2 which consist of 67 students. Sample were XI TKJ which consist of 22 students which taken by purposive sampling. In collecting the data the researchers uses observation sheet and test as an instrument. The result of this research: 1) the application of pair check model was 3.4, categorized “Very Good”. 2) the mean score of the students’ reading comprehension of report text was 62.59 categorized “enough”. Meanwhile, after pair check model was 82.36, categorized “very good”. The result of data analysis shows that ttest was higher than ttable (ttest 25.23> ttable 2.08). So, the hypothesis was accepted. It means that, there is any significant effect of pair check model on students’ reading comprehension of report text at the XI grade students of SMKS TI Putra Harapan 2.

ABSTRACT The aim of this research are to know: 1) the application of estafet writing on teaching writing procedure text ability, 2) the students writing procedure text ability before and after using estafet writing , 3) Whether there is any significant effect of estafet writing on teaching writing procedure text ability at the twelve Grade Students of SMKS TI Putra Harapan 2. This research uses experimental method with the pre-experimental design by using one-group pretest and posttest design. The population of this research was all of the XII grade students’ of SMKS TI Putra Harapan 2 which consist of 37 students. Sample were XII TKJ which consist of 22 students which taken by purposive sampling. In collecting the data the researchers uses observation sheet and test as an instrument. The result of this research: 1) the application of Estafet writing was 3.4, it is categorized “Very Good”. 2) the mean score of the students’ writing procedure text ability was 50,83 and it was categorized “fail”. Meanwhile, after using complete sentence model was 81,3, it is categorized “good”. The result of data analysis shows that ttest was higher than ttable (ttest 23,28> ttable 2.08). So, the hypothesis was accepted. It means that, there is any significant effect of estafet writing on students’ writing procedure text ability at the XII grade students of SMKS TI Putra Harapan 2. Abstract

Abstract: The objective of this research is to know whether there is a significant effect of Talking stick model on students’ speaking ability at the eleventh grade students of SMA Negeri 1 Padang Bolak Julu in 2020/2021 Academic Year. This research uses experimental method with pre-experimental research design; one group pretest-posttest design. The population is all of the eleventh grade students which consists of 96 students. Technique sampling that is used on this research is systematic sampling and the number of the samples are 32 students. In collecting the data, the researcher uses observation sheet to get the data of the application of impromptu speaking method and test to get the data of the students’ speaking ability. The researcher uses statistic process in analyzing the data by using ttest formula. Based on the data that had been analyzed, the result of data analyzing showed that ttest is higher than ttable (ttest 15.41> ttable 2.04). So, the hypothesis is accepted. It means that there is a significant effect of Talking stick model on students’ speaking ability at the eleventh grade students of SMA Negeri 1 Padang bolak julu in 2020/2021 Academic Year. Abstract

Absract : The purposes of this research are to know: 1) The application of CTL (Contextual Teaching and Learning) in teaching speaking descriptive text ability, 2) Students’ speaking descriptive text ability before and after using CTL (Contextual Teaching and Learning), 3) Is there any significant effect of using CTL (Contextual Teaching and Learning) at the eigth grade of MTs Jabalul Madaniyah.in order to achieve the purpose of the research, the writer carried the quantitative approach by using experimental research method with onegroups pre-test and post-test design.The population of this research is the eigth grade students of MTs Jabalul Madaniyah which consists 83 students. The writer used purposive non probability sampling to get sample that consists to 33 students. The data was collect by using observation sheet and oral test.The result application of CTL (Contextual Teaching and Learning) is 3.6, it is categorized “very good”. The result before using CTL (Contextual Teaching and Learning) is 43.75, it is categorized “ fail”. Then, the result after using CTL (Contextual Teaching and Learning) is 75.90, it is categorized “good”. The result of ttest is 21.88 and t table is 2.04. It means that there is significant effect of using CTL (Contextual Teaching and Learning) on students’ speaking descriptive text ability at the eigth grade of MTs Jabalul Madaniyah in 2020/2021 Academic Year. KeyWords : CTL (Contextual Teaching and Learning), Speaking Descriptive Text Ability Abstrak: Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui: 1) Penerapan CTL (Contextual Teaching and Learning) dalam pembelajaran kemampuan berbicara teks deskriptif, 2) Kemampuan berbicara teks deskriptif siswa sebelum dan sesudah menggunakan kemampuan CTL (Contextual Teaching and Learning), 3) Apakah terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan penggunaan CTL (Contextual Teaching and Learning) di kelas VIII MTs Jabalul Madaniyah. Untuk mencapai tujuan penelitian, peneliti melakukan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan menggunakan metode penelitian eksperimental dengan one-group pre-test dan post-test design. Populasi penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII MTs Jabalul Madaniyah yang berjumlah 63 siswa. . Penulis menggunakan purposive non probability sampling untuk mendapatkan sampel sebanyak 33 siswa. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan lembar observasi dan tes lisan. Hasil penerapan CTL (Contextual Teaching and Learning) adalah 3,6 dikategorikan “sangat baik”. Hasil sebelum menggunakan CTL (Contextual Teaching and Learning) adalah 43,75, dikategorikan “gagal”. Kemudian hasil setelah menggunakan CTL (Contextual Teaching and Learning) adalah 75,90 dikategorikan “baik”. Hasil uji ttest diperoleh nilai 21.88 dan ttabel 2.04. Artinya terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan penggunaan CTL (Contextual Teaching and Learning) terhadap kemampuan teks deskriptif berbicara siswa kelas VIII MTs Jabalul Madaniyah Tahun Ajaran 2020/2021 Kata Kunci :CTL (Contextual Teaching and Learning), Kemampuan Berbicara Descriptif Teks

Abstract

Abstract: The research aimed to 1) describe the applying chinese whispers game on students’ vocabulary mastery, 2) describe students’ vocabularymastery before and after applying chinese whispers game, and 3) whether there was a significant effect of applying chinesewhispers game on students’ vocabulary mastery at the eighth grade of SMP Negeri 2 Angkola Selatan.This research used experimental method by using pre-experimental research design (one group pretest-posttest design). Thepopulation was the eighth grade students which consist of 128students and the samples were32 students which taken by using purposive sampling technique. In collecting the data, the researcher used observation in chinese whispers game on students vocabulary mastery and test for students’ vocabulary mastery before and after using chinese whispers game. Based on descriptive analysis, the result showed 1) the average of Chinese whispers game on vocabulary mastery was 3.5 (very good category) and 2) the average of students’ vocabulary mastery before applying Chinesewhispers game was 29.34 (fail category) and after applying Chinese whispers game was 65.18 (enough category). To know the result of the data, the researcher analysis data by use the formula of ttest = 35.79, meanwhile ttable 2.04. It means that ttest is higher than ttable. So the hyphothesis is accepted. It means that there is significant effect of chinese whispers game on students vocabulary mastery at the eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 2 Angkola Selatan. Keywords: Chinese Whispers Game, VocabularyMastery Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk 1) mendeskripsikan penerapan chinese whispers game dalam penguasaan kosakata siswa, 2) mendeskripsikan penguasaan kosakata siswa sebelum dan sesudah penerapan chinese whispers game dan 3) apakah terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan antara chinese terhadap penguasaan kosakata siswa pada kelas VIII SMP Negeri 2 Angkola Selatan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen dengan menerapkan penelitian pra eksperimental (one group pretest-posttest design). Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII yang terdiri dari 128 siswa dan sampelnya adalah 32 siswa yang diambil dengan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Dalam pengumpulan data, peneliti menggunakan observasi dalam penerapan Chinese whispers game dan tes dalam penguasaan kosakata siswa sebelum dan sesudah menggunakan chinese whispers game. Berdasarkan analisis deskriptif, diperoleh hasil 1) rata-rata penerapan chinese whispers game dalam penguasaan kosakata 3.5 (kategori sangat baik) dan 2) rata-rata kosakata siswa sebelum penerapan Chinesewhispers game adalah 29,34 (kategori gagal) dan setelah penerapan chinese whispers game adalah 65.18 (kategori cukup). Peneliti menganalisi data menggunakan ttest formula, hasil ttest 3= 35.79, sedangkan ttable = 2.04. dengan kata lain ttest lebih besar dari ttable. Jadi, hipotesis diterima. Artinya ada pengaruh yang signifikan dari chinese whispers game dalam penguasaan kosakata siswa pada kelas VIII SMP Negeri 2 Angkola Selatan Kata kunci: chinese whispers game, kosakata.
