Abstract

The Balinese Hindu community interpret life as a process of transformation that must always be interpreted and treated. According to the beliefs of the Balinese Hindu community, the process of the life cycle to achieve the perfection of life must go through various stages of the procession of the ceremony (the ceremony of manusa yadnya). Life cycle ceremony processions carried out since the fetus is still in the womb, born, large, adult, old, even to death. It is believed that it is not only the body that needs nutritionally complete and balanced food in its growth and development. Spiritual must also be given spiritual food to build spiritual growth itself toward a healthy, strong and steady spirit. The life cycle ceremony process is a process of spiritual self-cleansing to lead to physical and spiritual purity. In the Book of Manawa Dharmasastra the life cycle ceremony process is stated as samskara sarira. Sarira samkara means a ceremony to increase the sanctity of one's body through the process of yadnya (holy sacrifice) ceremony. To achieve this increase should be balanced growth between the body (sarira) physical and spiritual. Corresponding to that, then studying the ceremonial procession and the meaning of the ceremony procession of the Hindu Balinese human life cycle is something very urgent.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of both internal and external factors that determine the dividend payout ratio of non-financial companies listed in the IDX High dividend 20 during the period of 2015-2019. The independent variables of the company's internal factors are return on assets, earnings per share, and debt to equity ratio. The independent variables of the company's external factors are interest rates and inflation. The control variable used in this study is firm size. There were 13 companies listed in IDX High Dividend 20 by using the purposive sampling method. Data analysis used panel data regression which was analyzed three times by grouping the dividend payout ratio, low dividend, and high dividend. The results showed that the return on assets had a significant negative effect on the combined dividend payout ratio with a probability value (0.0309) and high dividend with a probability value (0.0067) smaller than the significance level (5%), but had no significant effect on the low dividend with a probability value (0.3283) greater than the significance level (5%). Earnings per share has no significant effect on the combined dividend payout ratio with a probability value (0.4151), low dividend with a probability value (0.1164), and high dividend with a probability value (0.3835) greater than the significance level (5%). It can be concluded that return on assets earning per share, firm size, and debt to equity ratio have an effect on dividend payout ratio.

Abstract

Investments are made to obtain future benefits. Stocks are one of the most popular investments in the capital market. The advantage that can be obtained from the stock investment is stock returns, where the returns obtained can be positive or negative. This study aims to analyze the influence of fundamental and macroeconomic factors on stock returns of manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange from 2016 to 2019. This study used secondary data and the sample of this research was 37 manufacturing companies obtained through the purposive sampling method with panel regression as the data analysis. The results showed that the fundamental factors that affect stock returns are Price to Book Value (PBV), while the Debt to Equity Ratio (DER) and Price to Earnings Ratio (PER) do not affect manufacturing stock returns. Some macroeconomic factors such as inflation, the BI Rate, and changes in world oil prices proved to not affect the stock returns of manufacturing companies. This research implies that manufacturing companies need to pay attention to Price to Book Value (PBV) in determining stock returns.

Abstract

Many banking companies that offer shares on the Indonesia Stock Exchange, so it is very important for banking companies to pay attention to the value of their companies. This study aims to analyze the effect of the implementation of Good Corporate Governance on firm value through the existence of profitability. This study used a quantitative approach and secondary data collection, by testing the causal relationship of measurable research variables, namely examining the effect of GCG on firm value and profitability and positioning the profitability variable as an intervening variable. This study found that the direct relationship between GCG and profitability to firm value has an influence. Whereas, the results of this study also indicate the ineffective use of the proxied profitability of Return on Equity (ROE) as an intervening variable in the effect of GCG on firm value. This means that in banking companies listed on the IDX for the 2017-2019 period, GCG does not have an indirect effect on company value through profitability. Based on the results, if bank management pays more attention to the application of the principles of good governance (GCG), it will have an impact on increasing firm value.

The data collection method used in this study is by distributing online questionnaires by inserting questionnaires into Google Form, then online questionnaires are distributed through social media such as Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp. Appropriate respondents to fill out this questionnaire are people who have visited popular tours in Indonesia, especially young tourists. Data analysis method is planned using Multiple Regression Analysis. The results show that four of the six hypotheses are proven in this study. There are two hypotheses that are rejected, specifically the relationship between conspicuous value on propensity to share e-WOM, and the relationship between self-esteem on propensity to share e-WOM. This study gives a contribution to the body of knowledge on the relationship between self-relevant value and desire to experience travel concepts on propensity of travellers to share their experience on the electronic Word of Mouth (e-WOM).
