Abstract

Student learning outcomes in mathematics, particularly in data presentation, are still relatively low. This is due to the use of conventional teaching methods that are uninteresting and unsuited to students' learning styles, resulting in poor conceptual understanding and low motivation to learn. This study aims to create an ICARE-based animated video medium. This is a research and development (R&D) study using the ADDIE model (Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, Evaluate). The research subjects include subject matter experts, instructional designers, learning media specialists, and 32 fourth-grade students. Data were collected using Likert scale questionnaires and multiple-choice tests, while the instruments used were questionnaire sheets and test sheets. Data were analyzed using quantitative descriptive statistics and a one-sample t-test. The results of the study indicate that the developed animated video media have excellent quality based on expert evaluations and student trials. In conclusion, the use of animated video media based on the ICARE model in data presentation materials can enhance students' conceptual understanding and learning motivation in fourth-grade elementary school. Implications suggest that the application of this media can serve as an innovative alternative to improve the quality of mathematics education and support more interactive and engaging learning methods for students.

Abstract

Voluntary disclosure is an essential aspect for companies to measure sustainability and corporate responsibility for the environment. This study aims to examine whether there is an influence between firm value and the availability of the company's website on voluntary disclosure. The population in this study are all companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) in 2024 with purposive sampling. Observation data amounted to 92 non-financial companies. Data were collected from the company's financial statements and annual reports. Multiple regression tests were used to analyze this research. The results showed that the presence of firm value and company website has a significant effect on voluntary disclosure. This finding indicates that firm values and company websites influence voluntary disclosure. Digital transparency has a significant role in encouraging voluntary disclosure by firms in Indonesia; increased digital transparency not only strengthens stakeholder trust but also positively contributes to increased firm value. In conclusion, digital transparency significantly increases firm value through a positive influence on the level of voluntary disclosure. The findings suggest that companies in Indonesia that effectively implement digital transparency tend to be more open in disclosing information, thereby strengthening investor confidence and improving corporate reputation. The implication is that increased digital transparency may encourage companies in Indonesia to make more extensive and accurate voluntary disclosures. This ultimately contributes to increased firm value through the creation of investor confidence and information efficiency in the market.

Abstract

Understanding the optimal planting date is essential to maximize agricultural productivity and ensure nutritional quality. This study aimed to analyze the effect of different planting dates on the growth, yield, proximate composition, and mineral composition of selected peanuts (Samnut 24). This study was an experimental field study. The subjects of this study were peanut plants of SAMNUT 24. Yield and yield components, such as number of pods, seeds, seed weight, pod weight, and total yield, were recorded at harvest. Proximate analysis was conducted to determine the content of water, protein, fat, fiber, ash, and carbohydrates, while mineral analysis focused on essential nutrients such as potassium, magnesium, and iron. The findings showed that planting date significantly affected the growth, yield, proximate composition, and mineral content of peanuts (Samnut 24), with advantages for early planting. Early planting during the growing season increases plant height, number of leaves, and leaf area index of peanuts (Samnut 24). In addition, early planting was the optimal planting date for the number of pods, seeds per plant, increase in pod weight, seed weight, and increase in pod and seed yield. Early planting ensures that groundnuts get the required thermal time to optimize yield components and harvest, thus ensuring better productivity and yield efficiency. The optimal planting date is early planting because much higher moisture, fiber, protein, and ash values are obtained from early planted groundnuts.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the effectiveness of flipped classroom innovations through the implementation of a culturo-techno-contextual approach, specifically focusing on enhancing critical thinking skills among biology students while considering gender differences. Critical thinking is recognised as a vital competency for 21st-century learners to analyse, evaluate, and synthesise information for informed decision-making. The research methodology employed in this study is a Concurrent Embedded Design. The quantitative aspect involves a quasi-experimental design, wherein a sample of 295 secondary school biology students is divided into an experimental group, which engages with the culturo-techno-contextual flipped classroom model, two positive control groups, and one negative control group. The qualitative component encompasses the results of observations, the completion of worksheets, and reflective learning experiences from both students and teachers. Quantitative data were analysed using two-way ANCOVA, while qualitative data were analysed descriptively. The results showed that the experimental group significantly outperformed the control group in critical thinking assessment. Furthermore, gender analysis showed that both male and female students benefited from the cultural-techno-contextual approach, with female students showing higher improvements in critical thinking skills compared to male students. This study contributes to the existing literature by demonstrating the efficacy of a culturo-techno-contextual flipped classroom model in enhancing critical thinking skills, while also addressing the importance of gender considerations in educational outcomes. The findings underscore the potential of innovative pedagogical strategies to create inclusive learning environments that foster critical thinking across diverse student populations.

Abstract

This study presents the design and validation of an AI-based camera-trap system for wildlife monitoring at the border of Rinjani National Park, Indonesia. The system uses the YOLOv4 framework integrated with OpenCV to detect long-tailed macaques (Macaca fascicularis) in real-time. A total of 269 annotated images were used, including 202 for training, 17 for validation, and 50 for testing. The model was trained using Google Colaboratory and achieved a detection accuracy of 92.83%. Image pre-processing and labeling were conducted via Roboflow, and the model was optimized for potential deployment on a Raspberry Pi platform. Although physical deployment was not conducted, the system design supports low-power embedded implementation for field use. The results indicate that the proposed method can reliably detect camouflaged and partially occluded monkeys, suggesting its potential for mitigating human–wildlife conflict through smart conservation technology.

Abstract

Vocational education emphasizes the development of practical skills aligned with industry needs. In today's digital era, English proficiency combined with the ability to adapt to technological advancements such as Artificial Intelligence (AI) is essential. AI-powered tools have begun to transform English language learning by offering personalized, adaptive, and interactive experiences. This systematic review aims to examine and synthesize the characteristics of AI-powered tools and their implementation in English language learning for vocational students, focusing on how these technologies support communication, industry-specific language use, and learner autonomy. This systematic review follows the PRISMA (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses) guidelines to ensure a comprehensive and transparent review process. Data were gathered through searches in electronic databases including Scopus, ERIC, Google Scholar, and Web of Science using keywords such as “AI in language learning,” “vocational students,” “ESP,” and “English learning technology.” After screening based on inclusion and exclusion criteria, 20 studies published between 2018 and 2024 were selected for analysis. A narrative synthesis was used to extract and organize key themes. The review identified the following characteristics of AI-powered tools used in vocational English education: real-time feedback, adaptive content delivery, speech recognition for speaking practice, and chatbot-based conversation simulation. These tools were mostly applied through mobile apps, web platforms, and LMS integration. The outcomes showed positive impacts on students’ speaking fluency, vocabulary acquisition, motivation, and engagement. AI-powered tools offer significant potential for enhancing English language learning in vocational settings by providing personalized and flexible learning pathways.
