The aim of this research is to know the significant influence of Quantum learning based with mind mapping towards the results of science achievement of fifth grade elementary students of Cluster I in Kuta Utara district in academic year of 2017/2018. It was quasi experimental research with nonequivalent control group design. The population of this research was 339 fifth grade students in Cluster I in Kuta Utara district. The sample was chosen by random sampling. It was obtained that fifth grade A students of SD No. 7 Dalung (34 students) as experimental group and the fifth grade A students of SD No. 4 Dalung (28 students) as control group. The data were collected by using objective test of multiple choice. Around 40 items have been validated. The collected data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and inferential statistics of t-test analysis. Based on the result of t-test analysis, there were obtained tvalue = 6,778 and ttable (at a significance level of 5% with dk = (34+28)-2 = 60) = 2,000. This indicated that tvalue > ttable so it could be concluded that there was significant difference of science achievement between the groups taught by Quantum Learning based with Mind Map and the groups taught by Conventional Learning. It can be concluded that there was the effect of Quantum learning model with mind mapping towards the science achievement of fifth-grade elementary students of Cluster I in Kuta Utara district in academic year of 2017/2018.

Meanwhile, the samples of the research are 17 fifth grade students from SD Negeri 2 Dencarik and 15 fifth grade students from SD Negeri 3 Dencarik. Assessment of speech is used as the instrument of data collection. Then, the collected data is analyzed by using descriptive and inferential statistical analysis (t-test). Tcal = 6,93 > ttab = 1,69 is obtained based on the results of analysis which means that there is significant difference between students who were taught by using puppet show as media of role-play supporting model and students who were not taught by using puppet show for Bahasa as learning subject for second semester of fifth grade elementary school on Cluster III of Banjar District, Buleleng Regency in academic year 2017/2018. This researcher suggests that it can be used as a guide in further research about puppest show as media of role-play supporting model in Bahasa or any other subject as field of study.

This study aim to describe the implementation of a scientific approach in the learning process and know the differences learning outcomes of science in terms of the levels scientific learning process in grade V at SD Negeri 1 Semarapura Tengah. This study was descriptive and inferential, the study population was a learning process in grade V SD Negeri 1 Semarapura Tengah. Samples were taken by eksidental sampling because researchers use science learning process ongoing research in class V SD Negeri 1 Semarapura Tengah is Theme 9 "Environment Our Friends". Data collection methods used were observation, test, and kuesioner. Data collected using an objective test instruments, questionnaires and guidelines for observation and then analyzed using descriptive statistical analysis and inferential statistics (t-test). The study found that the levels scientific learning process science of classr VB obtain an average score of 62 which included a high category and class VC obtain an average score of 47 which included medium category. There are differences in outcomes between students learn science class VB and VC classes. (T = 10.379 and p = 0.000). Because the p-value less than α = 0.05, which means that H0 is rejected can thus be interpreted that there are significant differences between students learning outcomes science VB and VC classes are taught using a scientific approach. Of the average score obtained, VB class gained an average score of 151.62 which is at a very high category. While the average score obtained VC class is 126.72 which is at a high category.

This article was made based on an observation on the application of a Local Culture-Based Project in Balinese Language and Religious Literature Study Program of Denpasar State Hindu Dharma Institute. The basic reason for the application of this Project-Based Learning method is that, students were less motivated in following the EFL course. Students found that English would give a very minimum support for Balinese language and culture. English as a foreign language seems to be a threat for Balinese language sustainability. Therefore, the writer would show the students their actual connection in which English as a world dominant language could empower the existence of local culture including the language itself. (Regmi, 2013) stated that people should consider that the present existed local language that is used to pass the local context and culture on from generation to generation will die. Therefore, its integration to English as a world dominant language is one of the effective ways to preserve the local culture. Writer then designed project task which deal with local Balinese Culture. Students were asked to make a âMultilingual Pictured Folklore Bookâ during EFL course. Methodological triangulation (e.g. survey, interview and observation) were applied to confirm the studentsâ respond toward the application of the Project. The result shows that PBL approach implemented in the present study was proven effective in improving the studentsâ interest in learning English. Besides, the students gave a positive response toward the application of the Project.Â

The frequency of directive in first and second meeting the teacher taught with bottom-up model. The teacher used bottom-up model to teach the students with word meaning and the small particle part in reading comprehension. The third until five meeting was top-down model. The teacher would teach the students with a specific aspect, like teach the students about the specific of descriptive text. It could make students more critical about the text. The underlying reasons of English teacher apply models in teaching reading comprehension are to make the process of teaching English can run appropriately with the students level and the students can join the learning process efficiently. To have children with special needs is a challenge for parents. Acceptance on the children condition is the main key in determining attitudes and taking steps needed for optimizing the childrenâs growth and development. Unfortunately, many parents experience obstructions in accepting the condition of their children. This results in conflict within the parents themselves, with their spouses, or with other members of the family. This acceptance process itself has to go through several stages, namely denial, bargaining, anger, depression and acceptance. Many parents live in denial and anger before they can accept their childrenâs condition. Parentsâ knowledge and understanding about their childrenâs special needs is one of the supporting factors which lead to acceptance. Yet the fact is, many parents especially from the middle and lower classes lack of information and believe more in superstitions in society. This fact surely hinders the steps needed to accept their childrenâs special condition and take proper care of them. The presence of support group which consist of parents of children with special needs and those concerned in the development of special needs children is a place for comfort, emotional release and information exchange for the parents.Â
