Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of Science Learning Model, Environment, Technology, Society assisted Environmental media on Science Competence of grade V students. The type of this research was quasi experiment with non-equivalent group design. The population in this study was the entire class V in the Srikandi cluster East Denpasar amounted to 362 students. The sample of this research was class V of SDN 5 Sumerta were 28 students as experimental group and class V of SDN 10 Sumerta were 28 students as control group. Data collected with multiple choice test instruments, then was analyzed using descriptive statistical analysis and inferential statistical analysis (t-test). Based on the data analysis, tcount = 2.500 and ttabel (5% significance level) = 2,000. This means that tcount = 2,500> ttabel = 2,000. There was a significant difference of science competence between groups of students who was taught by science learning model, Environment, Technology, Society assisted Environmental media and group of students which is learn through conventional learning. The average value of science competence of the experimental group ( ) is 79.00 while the mean score of control group students ( ) is 74.07. This means =79,00 > =74,07, so it can be concluded that the application of learning model of Science, Environment, Technology, Society assisted Environmental media influenced the competence of science. Based on the results of this study it is suggested that the results of this study can be used as a relevant study, especially as supporting the next research.

Abstract

The aim of this study is to find out the significant differences of scientific attitude between a group of students who is taught by cooperative learning in type of group investigation and a group of students who is taught by conventional learning. This study is quasi experiment with nonequivalent control group design and post test only design. The population of this study is the whole V grade students Gugus I in Buleleng Sub-district which is involving 149 students. The sample is taken randomly by using random sampling. The sample is 60 students from V grade students of SDN 3 Banyuning and SDN 2 Banyuning. Validation on scientific attitude instrument of content validity with Greogory test, grain validity using product moment and reliability with Alpha Cronbach. The data is taken by using questionnaire and analyze using descriptive statistics and inferential statistics analysis (T-test) with polled variant formula. The finding shows that the average score of post test group is 83,71 which belong to high category. Meanwhile, the average score of conventional group is 68,47 which belong to moderate category. The obtain result of T test is tcount = 9,99 belong to 5% significant from ttable = 2,000. In conclusion, tcount>ttable, with a result that H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. It means that there was a significant difference in scientific attitudes between classes that were taught by cooperative learning model of group investigation type and classes that were taught by conventional learning model. Thus, cooperative learning model of group investigation type had a positive effect on students' scientific attitude.

Abstract

The research objectives were (1) to improve the social-spiritual attitudes of students through the application of quantum learning models containing social-spiritual values through lesson study. (2) To improve the learning outcomes of students' basic science II science concepts through the application of quantum learning models containing social-spiritual values through lesson study. The method used to achieve the above objectives is the method of action research. The data collected were social-spiritual attitudes with questionnaires and the learning outcomes the basic concepts of science II with tests. The data analysis technique used is descriptive statistics. The research findings are (1) the application of quantum learning models containing social-spiritual values through lesson study can improve students' social-spiritual attitudes. This can be seen increasing from cycle I to cycle II at 13.28%. (2) Application of quantum learning models containing social-spiritual values through lesson study can improve learning outcomes of students' basic science II concepts. This can be seen increasing from cycle I to cycle II at 12.25%. Based on the findings of this study, it is recommended that teachers / lecturers use the quantum learning model with the value of social-spiritual attitudes as an alternative to innovative learning models in order to improve the social-spiritual attitudes and learning outcomes of students. Further researchers are advised to examine in a relatively longer time to see the effectiveness of the quantum learning model with the value of social-spiritual attitudes in improving the social-spiritual attitudes and learning outcomes of students

Abstract

The implementation of flipped classroom at SMA Negeri Bali Mandara (Senior high School) helped to accommodate semesteral-credit-system or SKS and to benefit from the e-learning system. However, students’s achievement in Biology lesson was still 2 points below the school’s passing grade (KKM) due to the inefectivity and the lack of interactivity of the learning media used.  To counter this challenge therefore, video screencast was developed. This R & D project aims at: 1) to create a suitable screencast video which supporting student’s learning, 2) to investigate the effecivity of the prototype, 3) to know the student’s responses the use of screencast video to support their learning. Prototype was developed by using 4-D steps, which are: define, design, development and dissemination. The prototype was then validated by content and media experts. The product was lauched and implemented for students in Grade 12 and 10. Data response were collected by using questionnaire and finally were analysed both qualitatively and quantitatively. Students’s responses were positive which supported by the fact that the use of screencast video during flipped learning improved their learning achievement
