Abstract

A misconception is a misunderstanding of a concept by someone. Misconceptions can be experienced in various situations, one of which is in the learning process. This research takes the learning in elementary schools, especially on plant adaptation and reproduction. Misconception itself occurs due to many factors. This study aimed to determine whether there were misconceptions about plant adaptation and reproduction in the elementary schools studied. The researcher used a descriptive qualitative approach. This type of qualitative research uses a descriptive approach. The population in this study amounted to 47 students. Sampling was done using probability sampling. Data collection techniques used were tests and interviews. The test instrument used is to give 15 question numbers to students. The data analysis technique used is descriptive qualitative analysis. The study results showed that 19% of the samples had misconceptions about vegetative propagation of plants, 13% of generative plant propagation, and 2% of plant adaptation material. The teacher also explained that only a few students needed clarification, and the rest needed help understanding the concept. There are many ways to overcome misconceptions, starting from learning media, using worksheets, developing critical thinking in students, and many more. It was concluded that elementary school students have misconceptions.

Abstract

The lack of innovative learning media impacts students' diminishing abilities. Besides that, other problems were also found in students' needing more digital literacy. This study aims to create the use of word walls as an interactive media game-based learning to strengthen digital literacy, especially for elementary school students. This type of research is qualitative research. The research method in this study is a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. The research subjects of upper-class students (grade V) totaling 20 people. Methods of data collection using observation, interviews, and documentation. The data collection instrument used a questionnaire. The data analysis technique uses qualitative descriptive analysis. The research results are that students are enthusiastic about participating in class so that learning becomes more enjoyable compared to conventional learning, and students do not feel bored when learning occurs. Based on digital literacy skills, it is known that students are capable and proficient in operating digital technology word wall templates chasing in mazes, and matching games from the beginning to the end of the game. Using word walls can strengthen digital literacy for elementary school students. This study concludes that using word walls is a new thing that can arouse students' enthusiasm in learning.

Abstract

Calistung skills (reading, writing, arithmetic) must be mastered by students as the basis of literacy and numeracy. The lack of understanding of Calistung causes students to have difficulty understanding other subjects. This study aimed to develop and examine the feasibility, practicality, and effectiveness of the Calistung e-Module in strengthening students' basic literacy and numeracy. This research is a type of research and development (research and development) with the ADDIE model. Researchers collected data using questionnaires, document checklists, and documentation. The research subjects were class I students, totaling 30 students. Data analysis techniques are using descriptive qualitative analysis, quantitative, and inferential statistics. The results of the study, namely the validation test from media experts and learning design, obtained an average value of 3.6 (90%), which means it is very valid, while the material expert test and linguist test each was 3.75 (93.75%) with a very valid category. The product development practicality test obtained an average score of 3.89 (97.25%) in the very attractive category. The t-test results showed a significant increase in the average student learning outcomes after receiving a different treatment, namely using the Calistung e-Module. The listing e-module is a practical, interesting, and effective learning medium.

Abstract

Today's learning media have yet to facilitate students' involvement in the learning process fully. This study aims to develop and analyze the effectiveness of Android-based interactive learning multimedia on economic activity material and its relationship to various fields of work and social and cultural life in the environment around elementary school students. The development model used is the Borg and Gall model with 10 development steps. The research subjects used 86 students and 4 grade IV elementary school teachers. The trial was conducted twice, and the operational or effectiveness test used a quasi-experimental design with a nonequivalent control-group design. Data was collected using interviews, questionnaires, scales, and tests. The data analysis technique used is qualitative and quantitative using the T-test. The results of this development research show that the developed Android-based interactive learning multimedia meets the eligibility criteria of "very feasible" with a score of 91 from the material expert and a score of 102 from the media expert, through the results of field trials fulfilling the practicality criteria of "very practical". The t-test analysis results show a significant difference in social studies learning outcomes of students who use Android-based interactive multimedia learning. It was concluded that multimedia based on Android is feasible, practical, and effective for fourth-grade elementary school students' social studies learning.

Abstract

The lack of optimal use of technology in the learning process impacts student learning outcomes that are less effective. The research aims to describe the design and construction of instructional video media, validity, and effectiveness in problem-based learning video media on Class V science content. This research belongs to the development research conducted using the ADDIE model. The subjects of this study were one instructional design expert, a media expert, a content expert, three individual trial students, and nine small-group trial students. Data collection in the study was carried out using test and non-test methods, with research instruments in the form of questionnaires and objective tests. The data analysis used was quantitative descriptive analysis and t-test inferential statistical analysis. The research results from the educational technology expert test were 95.83%, the results from the learning design expert test were 89.58%, the media expert test was 94.44%, the content expert test was 100%, individual trials were 99.53%, and small group trials of 93.67%, the overall percentage of which has very good qualifications. In the effectiveness test, it was found that there were differences in student learning outcomes after using problem-based learning videos on natural science content. Based on these results, problem-based learning-based learning videos on science content are effective for fifth-grade students.

Abstract

The Ministry of Education and Culture has made many independent curriculum modifications that impact teaching methodology. One is in the context of science and social studies, which are combined into one unified whole. Therefore, teachers must implement learning innovations that combine social and scientific literacy as one of the basic activities for students to become more familiar with integrating science and social before science content. This research examines integrating scientific literacy and social literacy competencies through a project program to strengthen the profile of Pancasila students in elementary schools. With a combination of field and literature studies, this research uses a qualitative methodology. With the subject of research, teachers, students, and principals. How to collect data through observation, documentation, and interviews. By using several sources, multiple method triangulation, and data analysis at the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion, the accuracy of the data was tested. The study results show that integrating scientific literacy and social literacy through project activities to increase students' Pancasila profiles can run well. In addition, integrating scientific literacy and social literacy can achieve the goal of project implementation, which is a form of adaptation activity for students before entering science and social studies content in an independent curriculum.

Abstract

There are limitations and a need for teacher ability to utilize technology to create innovative supporting teaching materials for students. The purpose of this research is to develop interactive learning multimedia. This type of research is development research with the ADDIE model. The subjects involved in this study were content experts, design experts, media experts, and trial students. Data were collected using the questionnaire and test methods, with assessment instruments in the form of learning achievement tests and test sheets for the validity of media products. The data obtained in the study were then analyzed using qualitative descriptive analysis techniques, quantitative descriptive, and t-test inferential statistical analysis. The results of this development research show that the design and development of interactive learning multimedia include five stages of the ADDIE model, product validity obtained from the review results of very well-qualified content experts (93.33%), very well-qualified design experts (93.75%), qualified media experts very good (93.33%), the results of the individual trials were very well qualified (93.66%), and the small group trials were very well qualified (92.56%), the results of the multimedia effectiveness test obtained an average pretest of 51.57 and an average of posttest 87.85. It was concluded that problem-based learning-based interactive multimedia is very qualified and feasible to implement and use in the Indonesian content learning process.

Abstract

Critical thinking skills are fundamental skills in 21st-century learning. One of these skills is influenced by students' reading literacy. However, reading literacy activities in elementary schools have yet to be maximized. This study aimed to analyze teachers' needs in elementary school learning and produce a prototype of the Tri Hita Karana Reading Literacy model. This type of research is research and development (RnD). The research and development model design used was adapted from Borg and Gall's theory. The subjects involved were 55 teachers in the preliminary study, 6 people, and 2 practitioners for the product feasibility test. Methods of data collection for preliminary study are using a questionnaire. Data were analyzed using quantitative descriptive analysis techniques. The research results show that teachers must develop a model to maximize students' literacy activities. Second, the average calculation of the validator's assessment results is 4.3, which means it is in the very good category, with an average number of content aspects of 4.3, layout and design aspects of 4.2, and grammar of 4,4. These results indicate that the THK Literacy Model is considered to have met the validity criteria. The conclusion of the experts regarding the development of this model is that the model can be used with several revisions.

Abstract

The low quality of education in Indonesia, particularly at the primary and secondary levels, is a major problem for the country's human resource capacity. Various efforts have been made to improve the quality of education nationally through several channels. Thus, this study aims to analyze the effect of the factile application-assisted inquiry learning model in improving students' science learning achievement. This research uses a quantitative approach with the type of quasi-experimental research. This study surveyed 78 participants in two classes, 38 and 40 respectively. Data was collected using the test method with an instrument in the form of a science learning achievement test. Data collection was carried out through pretest and posttest. The analysis showed that the average posttest score for the control class assisted by factile applications was 86.12, while the average pretest learning achievement for the experimental class was 86.96. The Kolmogorov-Smirnov normality test shows that the data follows a normal distribution. The t-test results showed an effect of factile application-assisted inquiry models on the science learning outcomes of grade IV students. It was concluded that the factile application-assisted inquiry learning model affected the learning outcomes of elementary school students.

Abstract

Basic education in Indonesia has experienced various curriculum developments, from the 2013 Curriculum to the Independent Learning Curriculum. However, from a transitional point of view, it still needs to provide a clear direction for some practitioners. This study aims to analyze the mapping of planning, to implement, and evaluating science learning in the 2013 Independent Learning Curriculum. Data collection techniques were carried out through interviews, observation, and documentation. The data validity test was carried out by source triangulation. The subjects of this study were the principal and teachers of class IV SD. Data analysis techniques performed interactive models: data reduction, presentation, and conclusion. The results of the study show that the teacher prepares the administration of the Science learning plan in the 2013 Curriculum, namely the syllabus, porta, promissory notes, preparation of lesson plans for Learning Implementation Plans (RPP), media, teaching materials, and evaluation, while in the Independent Learning Curriculum, the teacher prepares learning tools in the form of Learning Outcomes ( CP), Learning Objectives (TP), Learning Objective Flow (ATP), teaching modules, and evaluation. The implementation of science learning in the 2013 Curriculum uses integrated thematic learning supported by applying a scientific approach, while in the Merdeka Learning Curriculum, it is carried out based on products, processes, and attitudes. In evaluating science learning in the 2013 curriculum, teachers use the cognitive, psychomotor, and affective domains, while in the Merdeka Learning Curriculum, teachers use diagnostic assessments, formative assessments, summative assessments, and projects.
