Abstract

The low competence of students' science knowledge is caused by the lack of optimal use of innovative and creative learning models and the lack of use of instructional media. The purpose of this research is to find out the significant influence of the talking stick model assisted by audio visual media on the science knowledge competence of fourth-grade elementary school students. The type of this study was quasi-experimental research with the non-equivalent control group design. The samples in this study were determined using the Cluster Random Sampling. The population in this study is all students in grade IV elementary school are 160 students. The data of science knowledge competence were collected using the test method and the instrument used was an ordinary multiple-choice objective. The data were analyzed using t-test. Based on the result of data analysis, the value of tcount=4,377 while at the significant level 5% and dk = 64 ttable=1,997 so that tcount=4,377 > ttable = 1,997. Based on the testing criteria, then Ho was rejected and 𝐻𝑎 was accepted. There were significant differences of the science knowledge competence between the group experimental and the control group. The average of  science knowledge competence students in the experimental group and control group was 0,56 > 0,35. It can be concluded that the Talking Stick model assisted by audio visual media influence the science knowledge competence in the fourth-grade students of elementary school.

Abstract

The low ability of social knowledge competence was caused by the less optimal use of instructional media during the learning process. It caused the students were difficult to understand the study. This study aimed to examine the effect of the Magic Box Media Assisted Rotating Trio Exchange (RTE) Learning Model Toward Social Science Competencies. This study was a quasi experiment study with non-equivalent control group design. The population of this study was 275 students. The sample was determined by cluster random sampling. The data were collected using test method with the usual multiple-choice instrument. As the result, it can get the data in the form of social knowledge competence value quantitatively that was analyzed using a t-test, namely polled variance. The result of data analysis obtained tcount=7,010 > ttable= 2,000 at the significant level of 5% (dks 31 +31-2-60) Therefore, HO was rejected and Ha was accepted so that there was a significantly different of the social knowledge competence between the group taught using the Rotating Trio Exchange assisted by Magic Box Media with the groups taught using conventional learning in fourth-grade of elementary school.

Abstract

This study was conducted with the aim of finding out the significant differences between the science knowledge competencies of the group of students who were taught using the project based learning model and the groups of students who were taught conventionally in the fifth grade. This research is a quasi-experimental research design using nonequivalent control group design. The population of this study, are consisted of 7 classes consisting of 183 students. The sampling technique used in this study was quota sampling by determining from the beginning the sample to be used according to the desired quota, then drawing to determine the experimental class and the control class so that the fifth grade SD No. 2 Blahkiuh with 40 students as a group of experimental class and fifth grade of elementary school No. 2 Sangeh with 44 students as the control class group. The usual 36 multiple choice objective tests that have been validated are used to obtain student science competency data. Grade V grade average SD No. 2 Blahkiuh as an experimental class that is 84.98 included in the high criteria, greater than the average grade V SD No. 2 Sangeh as a control class that is 79.77 including high criteria. The results of the t-test analysis showed tcount> ttable ie 2, 591> 2,000 at the 5% significance level and dk = 84, so that the observation hypothesis (Ho) was rejected and the alternative hypothesis (Ha) was accepted stating there were significant differences. Thus, it can be concluded that the Project Based Learning Model has an effect on the science competency of the fifth grade

Abstract

The low learning outcomes of science caused by the implementation of learning that has not been able to foster an atmosphere of active learning, fun and motivating students during learning, so that the impact on student learning outcomes is low science. This study aims to analyze the influence of the Connecting Organizing Reflecting Extending (CORE) -based Science Environment Technology Society (SETS) learning model on student science learning outcomes in elementary schools. This type of research is quasi-experimental (Quasi Experiment) with a research design that is Posttest Only Control Group Design. Science learning outcomes data obtained through the test method with data collection instruments in the form of multiple choice questions totaling 25 items. Data on learning outcomes that have been collected are then analyzed using descriptive statistics and inferential statistics. Based on the results of descriptive analysis, the average value of students in the experimental group was 76.00 and the average value of the control group students was 62.82. Based on the results of data analysis that has been done using the T-Test obtained tcount of 2.992 while ttable of 2,000. This means that the t-count is greater than the table, so H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted with the conclusion that there is an effect of the Learning Environment Connecting Reflecting Extending (CORE) model based on the Science Environment Technology Society (SETS) on the science learning outcomes of students in elementary school.

Abstract

The research that examines the effect of guided inquiry learning models on science learning outcomes has been done a lot, but the results of these studies have not received further study to be summarized and re-tested the effectiveness of the effects of the learning model used. This study aimed to determine the effect of guided inquiry learning models on the science learning outcomes of elementary students. This research was library research with meta-analysis data analysis techniques. The subjects of this study were 7 research articles from various Sinta accredited research journals. Data collection used literature study techniques which were followed by reviewing articles related to the research topic. This study analyzed the effect size of each article. The results of the analysis of the value of each research article obtained the highest value of 1.34, which is included in the large category and there is a research article obtaining a value of 0.78 which has a medium category. Based on the results of the analysis, it was concluded that the guided inquiry learning model has a great influence on improving the learning outcomes of elementary school science students. It also reinforces the results of previous research which states the guided inquiry learning model has a positive effect on improving science learning outcomes of elementary school students.

Abstract

Pandemic Covid-19 requires all elements of education to carry out online learning, but not all schools, especially in the Merauke district, do this because they see the readiness of students who do not have communication tools to be used as messengers in learning. This study aims to increase the activeness and learning outcomes of students in the learning ecosystem of class V students. This research is a classroom action research with collaborative research type and is carried out in two cycles consisting of planning, implementing, observing, and reflecting. The subjects in this study were 18-grade students of SD YPPK Santo Tarsisius Biankuk. The data collection techniques used were observation, interviews, documentation, and student learning evaluation tests. Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that student learning outcomes during the Covid-19 pandemic outdoor based on ecosystem lessons increased in cycle 1 by 60.1, and in cycle II increased by 81.1, this study also increased student activity in learning at each meeting. Based on this research, it can be concluded that outdoor-based ecosystem learning can improve learning outcomes of fifth-grade students who are impacted by online learning.
