Abstract

Students? academic records are an important part of students learning life. Academic records provide awareness to the observer about a student?s performance and forethought about the student?s future planning. Hence, insight against the factors that impact on academic records is very necessary. Although, there is a list of factors involved in the matter, however, psychological factors such as educational organization and teaching method play an essential role to build a better or junk academic record by a student. The current study has depicted the role of both the educational organization and teaching method, how these two can help an Indonesian student to make outstanding and exceptional academic records, which are necessary for the students to build a strong academic career.  According to this study, a strong academic career is only possible when there are consistency and continuity of very good academic records for each class and course passed by a student. Statistical software; Partial Least Square was used for data analysis. Hence, for primary data collection, a survey was accomplished. Data analysis was completed to obtain final results based on the 395 responses received from the respondents of this study.  Besides, our study provides a significant evidence for the fact that academic suppliers like family, student suppliers, and faculty suppliers are positively impacting on academic career of the students.

Abstract

The main purpose of this study was to investigate the value co-creation process using Facebook as compulsory by a company. A new value co-creation model was developed showing how Facebook could be successfully executed as a platform for the value co-creation process with the aim of providing the best possible service to the recipients. This research employed an explanatory case study due to its uniqueness, especially for sufficient and in-depth comprehension of the phenomenon. PKT Logistics Group Sdn Bhd (PKT) was chosen for this study due to its exceptional characteristic of declaring itself as ‘Facebook compulsory’ company in business after Facebook. Data were obtained from interviews, direct observations, and a questionnaire survey of the company’s top management, selected employees, and customers. The proposed model has successfully connected the company’s leader, employees, and customers with each other for attaining the ‘Ba’ in new knowledge creation spirally using Facebook as an effective platform. This has resulted in the achievement of a service-oriented value co-creation process. This research has contributed to create a new model of the value co-creation process involving all the stakeholders via a ‘Facebook community’, which could be useful for other service providers. This study differentiates itself from the restricted application of Facebook in business by focusing on Facebook as compulsory in a corporate culture. The new value co-creation process model thru a ‘Facebook community’ is original and might be first of this type study.

Abstract

This paper reviews the related studies on the current practices and insights in supply chain risk management within the construction industry. Articles published between 2000 and 2018 are classified and analyzed using simplified systematic literature review, which is performed through the material collection, category selection and literature matrix. While the research on supply chain risk management started relatively recently, much of these studies were generic and not contextualized for the construction industry. Construction supply chains risk treatment and monitoring phase require further attention, with inputs from all the supply chain actors in the upstream linkage. Only peer-reviewed journal articles were considered in this study. And it is hoped that the findings will serve as a guide to construction managers who would like to better understand how risks in the upstream and downstream linkages of construction supply chains are managed. We acknowledged that the implementation of construction supply chain risk management is immature, and there is a dearth of literature in this area. This study also identifies the risk management process currently practised in the industry and provides a framework for literature classification. The study identifies literature gaps that can provide opportunities for future research in the area of CSCRM. It also discusses future research directions in this area.

Abstract

The objective of this study is to examine the influence of supply chain integration (SCI) on supply chain resilience (SCRES) on supply chain performance (SCP) dimensions of large – scale manufacturing firms in Pakistan. It also examines the indirect effects of all the SCI dimensions on all the SCP dimensions through the SCRES. A quantitative approach using questionnaire survey was employed to examine the hypotheses and theoretical framework. Data were collected from 182 manufacturing firms in Pakistan and the SMART PLS version 3.2.7 was used for data analysis. The results showed that the SCI contributed significantly to the SCRES while the SCRES impacted on the SCP substantially. However, the association between the SCI and the SCP was not linear; it was determined by the level of the SCRES. This study fills the research gap by integrating the SCRES as a mediator between the SCI and the SCP.

Abstract

Abstract— Managing the supply chain has become a way of improving competitiveness by reducing uncertainty and improving service. This paper will seek to highlight the importance of managing the Supply Chain and logistics in Indonesia rural markets to delivers goods and services in a cost effective manner. The village enterprise has become the Indonesian government's program to develop the economy of villages through the supply chain. The management of village enterprise in traditional villages encounters two situations. On the one hand, the village enterprise is required to have good governance, while on the other hand it deals with the conditions of supply chain strategy. The mutual influence between supply chain and communities offers opportunities to integrate sustainability initiatives into the chain. So the objective of this research is to explore the understanding of stakeholders about the supply chain of enterprise at the village of Wologai. This research also explores the supply chain that supports the governance of village enterprises. Village of Wologai as a traditional village, it has high supply chain strategy, for example, there is a traditional leader i.e. “musalaki” who is a respected figure in the village community. Supply chain strategy that has the potential to hamper governance implementation, among others, is in terms of meeting the demands of indigenous peoples who want enterprise activities to prioritize culture ceremonies rather than discipline in preparing good governance.

Abstract

Inventory management is an important task for manufacturing firms of Pakistan. Supply chain risks are considered to be major hurdle in successful accomplishment of today’s supply chain management processes. The increasing complexity in business operations results in number of supply chain risks which negatively affects the performance of an organization. This research investigates the contribution of automated inventory management systems in increasing the efficiency of inventory management. This study utilizes four automated inventory management systems which includes Radio frequency Identification (RFID), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) and Material Requirements Planning (MRP) and analyzes their role as a supply chain risk mitigation strategy through implication of risk management process. This study also determines the moderating influence of employee training and development on the relationship between automated inventory management systems and supply chain risk management in manufacturing firms of Pakistan through the implication of Strategic Employee Training and development model. This study proves that effective employee training and development is a necessary tool for impactful diffusion of innovative inventory management systems and its implementation in supply chain risk management. Multimethod quantitative study is implied for conducting the study. Preacher and Hayes (2007) Process Model 1 on SPSS is used for moderation test.

Abstract

Abstract— Agricultural development plays a role in providing food supply, maintaining food scarcity and maintaining food prices so as not to fluctuate and evenly distribute food, becoming a major problem in each region. Banten Province with regional potentials that have a surplus of food products and a wide area that is adequate has the potential to develop a food distribution center. The aim of a food distribution center is to meet food supply chain chain throughout the region, avoid food scarcity, stabilize food prices and maintain price disparities thus they can be properly met. The role of food hubs is to aggregate, distribute and market food at the farmer, trader level, and to function the role of the BUMD in realizing the operation of the food distribution center. Short food supply chain chains cut costs of crop production in farmers, food distribution costs and transportation costs from farmers to distribution centers. Government policies through relevant local government agencies must be able to move the role of stakeholders in this case farmers, traders, distributors, transportation services in realizing the operation of the food distribution center to provide food procurement services and able to provide welfare levels, especially small farmers as producers in the supply chain of food products.

Abstract

Abstract— The study discusses the problem of managing supply chain business objects in heterogeneous systems through the use of Business Process Management Systems (BPMS). The purpose of the research is to summarize the experience of domestic enterprises (operating in logistics and other businesses) when using cloud-based logistics systems; to identify general development trends in the domestic market and to develop recommendations for improving the efficiency of supply chain management based on cloud technologies. The research hypothesis is that the competitiveness of the logistics system grows along with its synergy. To test the hypothesis, a survey of 94 respondents working with such systems has been conducted. It has been found that IBM WebSphere is the most preferable system as it provides the maximum synergistic effect that is achieved by the targeted, coordinated, and mutual operation of two or more digital technologies to achieve a certain common goal. In particular, this stems from the fact that it is not enough to produce quality and essential goods or to provide a service; it is important to be able to convey the message to the consumer. The concept of competition has expanded beyond the boundaries of products (goods or services) and has moved into the sphere of competition among management structures.

Abstract

Leadership in Islam for some scholars still struggling at the level of moral and spiritual content. The prime aim of this investigation is to investigate the impact of leadership practices with the mediating effect of supply chain management.  They have many views about leadership in Islam and the moral message that conveys. The commendable characters of the Prophet Muhammad PBUH an indicator of success. There has been little to discuss the leadership application process in Islam, the principle of leadership in Islam, and the process of congregational praying (Shalah al jama'ah). The data were gather from the praying leader by questionnaires and PLS-SEM was used for analysis. Praying in a congregation (jama'ah), there are several steps. First, the initial conditioning, which includes a place that meets the requirements, the sanctity of the body, clothing and place, the direction of the qibla. Second, selecting leaders is a very important process. How a leader is select and elected, also what are the category to own by the candidate. Third, the initial conditions of taking command over by the leader (imam). Many lessons can apply in everyday life, both for small organizational conditions and for a wider scale. Based on the search of the author, there is no concept of leadership in Islam that takes from the ongoing process of praying together (shalah al jamaah).
