Abstract

This study aims to optimize the classification process of providing assistance to Indonesian Telematics Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) using a deep learning approach. The data used is the 2016 Economic Census data. The research was conducted comprehensively through the process of comparing performance through several approaches. Deep learning performance shows an optimal accuracy rate of 99.03%, higher than other approaches of the Adaboost and Adaboos-Bagging Ensemble (92.0%), LVQ (93.11%) and Backpropagation (89.1%). The deep learning approach still has shortcomings in terms of tracing attributes that affect the provision of assistance. Unlike the case with an ensemble approach that is able to display priority attributes, and these results are also validated with relevant research results. Research development opportunities can be done through the integration of EXPLAIN and IME models in the deep learning model, making it easier for stakeholders to prioritize attributes that affect the delivery of telematics SMEs. This is expected to encourage the improvement of SMEs competitiveness in facing the challenges of the Industrial Revolution 4.0.

Abstract

The study purpose is to investigate the mediating effect of strategic agility in the relationship of supply chain management activities (SCMA) and firm performance (FP) of the textile industry of Indonesia. For this purpose, data was collected from 300 supply chain managers by using a simple random sampling technique which yield a 50 percent response rate. The Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) has applied for the hypothesis testing. The direct effect of the study has shown that SMA has positive and significant relationship with the strategic agility (SA) and FP which supports to the hypothesis. In addition, SA also has also an association with the FP. On the other hand, the indirect mediating effect also show that SA is partially mediates in the relationship of SCMA and FP in the textile industry of Indonesia. Therefore, this mediating effect is considered to be a big contribution of the study which could become a new research area in future. The research limitations and future directions are discussed at the end of the study.

Abstract

Abstract? Supply chain management played a critical role in the electric power industrial chain optimization. The paper notes that in order to increase transparency and efficiency of settlements for electric energy, the introduction of intelligent metering systems is necessary. In order to achieve efficiency, transparency, data security and reduce transaction costs abroad, blockchain technologies that have both positive and negative characteristics have begun to be actively introduced. Similar aspirations are realized in Russia, where smart metering devices are also installed everywhere for consumers of electric energy. At the same time, studies show that it is advisable to implement the implementation of blockchain technology only in conditions of decentralized electricity supply, since the principles of this technology are not compatible with management from a single center. In Russia, given the significant role of centralization in electricity supply chain and non-payment for energy, the presence of ?non-disconnected? consumers and a very modest share of renewable energy, the possibilities for using blockchain technology are very limited. This necessitates the search for effective ways to use blockchain technology, taking into account the current circumstances.

Abstract

The aim of this study is to explore the nature of East Asia’s automobile production networks by means of social-network methods. In this paper, we have also developed a domination degree index (DDI) and domination intensity index (DII) to measure the dominating power of each East Asian country in the automobile networks. The results suggested that the networks of East Asia’s automobile industry are expanding over time both in terms of the number of links in the network as well as the strength of those links. This result indicates that both export and import of automobile products in this region increase significantly over time. In addition, Japan has emerged as the main player, both in the case of auto parts and components (PC) and final automobiles. The Republic of Korea has also emerged as the second most important player in East Asia’s final automobile networks, while China has become the second most important player in East Asia’s auto PC networks. Even though Thailand is the third most important player in East Asia’s automobile networks in both auto PC and final automobiles, the analysis of this paper has suggested that there is a possibility for this country to overtake China and the Republic of Korea to become the second most important player in terms of both auto PC and final automobiles. The dramatic changes in the development of Thailand’s automobile industry as well as significant development in China’s auto PC have been made possible by the pivotal role played by Japan (on Thailand) and the Republic of Korea (on China) – all of which have stimulated the development of their subordinates’ auto industry in a so-called “win-win situation”

Abstract

Oil palm plantations as one of the sexiest commodities; produce a high yield of oil and fat that can be used in various sectors. The prospect of oil palm and its derivative products is good, but there are obstacles and problems faced that are mainly related to sustainability issues in oil palm plantations and its downstream process. Therefore, it is important to study the decision-making process that are needed to develop sustainable palm oil agroindustry. This paper aims at providing a comprehensive literature review for decision support system for sustainable agroindustry. Totally, 186 scientific publication articles from 2005 to 2019 were reviewed and synthesized. The reviewed articles were categorize based on the keywords of palm oil sustainability, geographic information system (GIS), and decision support system (DSS). The research gap and pointers for future research that are identified is the lack of sustainability aspect inclusion on decision-making process. We also identified the lack discussion of integrated spatial and intelligent tools through DSS for better, faster, and smarter decision-making process. In the end part of the paper, a pointer for possible future research was develop in terms of combination through spatial-intelligent system applying business analytics for sustainable agroindustry.
