Abstract

One of the tasks of developing into adulthood is to work to meet the needs of his life. Technological advances, materialism, hedonism and the demands of the post-industrial society's needs make some people work brutally for what they want to be fulfilled. Even people are apathetic to the surrounding environment. Nevertheless, there are still a handful of employees who care about their environmental conditions by behaving altruism as happened in PT.Tribuana Mas (TBM). The purpose of this study is to describe employee altruism behavior and explore the factors that encourage employees to behave altruism. The results of the research on 3 employees of PT.Tribuana Mas plantation, Afdeling Juliet conducted qualitatively (nonparticipant observation and in-depth interview), altruism behavioral components are mostly the same, that is behaving helpfully, considering the rights and welfare of others, sharing and honesty. While the different components are seen from the behavior of donating & generosity and Cooperation. Components of altruism behavior reflected on the employees are also in accordance with the teachings of Islam, the namely charity with the foundation of god (ikhlas) and there are still nuanced humanity. Abstract

Humor has two types; there is a positive humor style, an affiliative and self-enhancing humor style, and a negative humor style. It is an aggressive and self-defeating humor style. Mahalabiu is a type of oral literature that contains a dual meaning (ambiguous), having a speech meaning. Usually, the listener defines another meaning or purpose behind Mahalabiu's humor. This study aims to describe Mahalabiu humor as a Banjarese people culture, whether Mahalabiu is a positive or negative style of humor. This research method is qualitative phenomenologies with data collection techniques using interviews as a significant technique and observations. Based on the results of the interview with Informant in this study, there were three people: the type of interview used is a semi-structured interview—the method of observation as a supporting method for understanding more in-depth information related to Mahalabiu humor. Interviews were conducted with three speakers who knew Mahalabiu Humor; they are one cultural expert in South Kalimantan, 1 Banjar Language expert, and 1 Banjar Language expert who is also a native of Alabi. Based on the research results, Mahalabiu humor style has its humor style, which can be positive and negative depending on who is presenting at the right time. Where Mahalabiu has its characteristics in which Mahalabiu depends on the person who delivered it, and depending on the situation, if the moment is right, then it might be that Mahalabiu becomes humorous affiliative humor and self-enhancing humor. However, if the moment is not right then, Mahalabiu will become aggressive humor and self-defeating humor.

Abstract

This paper compared the tought of al-Asma al-Husna by H. Husin Qader and H.M. Zurkani Jahja. There are differences in the tought of the two figures in the delivery of the words of al-Asma al-Husna written in their work. H. Husin Qaderi in his book ‘Senjata Mukmin’ (the Faithful’s weapon) and H.M. Zurkani Jahja in his book ‘99 jalan menuju Tuhan’ (99 ways of finding the God). The findings of this study is H. Husin Qaderi thought about al-Asma al-Husna that shows God’s action is the dominant to the practical prayer with ‘zikir’, it is appropriate approach to Sufism that he had as well as the community needs are preaching at that time. H. M. Zurkani Jahja told about al-Asma al-Husna that shows God’s action is the dominant to the moral and spiritual implications, the Sufism approach that he used in accordance with al-Ghazali in his ‘al-Maqsâd. Zurkani used simple and easy explanation, it is because he wrote al-Asma al-Husna in a tabloid then booked, his expectation was the people to behave like the personality of God limited his ability. There are differences of tought about al-Asma al-Husna showing the actions of God according to both of them, their difference lies in the God’s blessings on His servants. Qaderi more closed, while Zurkani seems more open to God’s faithful servant and vice versa to get God’s blessings.

Abstract

This study aims to determine work-family balance strategies in women who have a dual role especially in Banjar women and to know the factors that influence the achievement of balanced work family. The method used is descriptive qualitative, with interview data collection methods. The research subjects were selected by using purposive sampling technique. The results of the study are related to strategies in balancing work and family that are done by the subject, namely 1) making the best use of time, time management, completing work on time, separating work and family matters, making special schedules to spend with children and other family members every Saturday Sunday or holiday, and prioritize important days for families and children such as child shows and others that indeed our existence becomes important for our families 2) monitor the family while working for example by making a single call to the child to check the situation even there are parents or household assistants who guard them, 3) share roles with husbands. Furthermore, the factors that influence the achievement of balance are 1) partner support 2) commitment at the beginning of marriage 3) the same experience of the husband. The implication of this study is that it can provide an overview related to work-family balance strategies in women who have multiple roles. Work-family balance is important for everyone because if the multiple roles run are not balanced then it is likely to lead to family and work conflicts.

Abstract

This article is intended to argue against those who say that the Islamic philosophy is really nothing more than thetrue ancient Greek philosophy that has been “repacked” by Islam, and to prove that Islamic philosophy, whilebeing as a result of historical process of its adopting of Greek philosophy, is to large extent the own Muslimthinkers’ thoughts by “adapting” that philosophical tradition with Islamic doctrine. As the result, they havesought to compromise between rational and revealed truth. Therefore, it sees that Islamic philosophy is a attemptto interpret the Qur’an in the light of reason. By this way of argumentation, the author wishes to say that thebalanced view of the origin of Islamic philosophy, e.g. between the historical and textual roots or betweeninfluence and originality, must be recognized, so that we will have a holistic understanding of the existence ofthis philosophical tradition in Islam.

Abstract

Al Jihad  Mosque Banjarmasin is a mosque that is identical with Muhammadiyah, this mosque is followed by many pilgrims and loyal at the time of the implementation of prayers fardu congregation. Jamaah consists of various groups regardless of background, both in terms of age, economy, organization and even the sick pilgrims (post-stroke) are actively involved in congregation. Active Jamaat prayers in congregation do not only come from residents around the mosque complex, but also many pilgrims who come from outside the mosque complex, even the distance difference between their residence with the mosque a few kilometers. In heavy rainy weather conditions, they still enthusiastically follow the prayers in congregation fardu mosque. In addition, there are things that are felt by pilgrims such as comfort, tranquility of heart and mind, emotional stability, silaturrahim which all is related to emotional intelligence.In this study, the main problem is how is the relationship of prayer in congregation with emotional intelligence in the congregation of Al Jihad Mosque Banjarmasin ?. The method used is quantitative and qualitative descriptive method with methodological arrangement such as approach and type of research, research location, population and sample, data and data source, procedure and data collection, quantitative and qualitative technical data analysis.The result of the study found that there is a correlation between salat fardu congregation with emotional intelligence, this is proved by the data from questionnaires from 30 pilgrims (respondents) that is: able to control the impulse of worldly lusts with the highest opinion is 60% said yes and 40% stated sometimes .Motivating yourself with the highest opinion is 90% states yes and 10% states sometimes. Able to survive in the face of trials with the highest opinion is 86.67 states yes and 13, 33 states sometimes. No exaggeration with the highest opinion is 90% states yes and 10% states sometimes. Being able to set the mood with the highest opinion is 86.33% and 13.33 states sometimes. Keeping the stress burden does not cripple the thinking ability with the highest opinion is 90% states yes and 10% states sometimes. The ability to empathize and pray with the highest opinion is 90% say yes and 10% say sometimes.

Abstract

This paper is a study in mapping out more about the process of formation of the Muslim community in Indonesia. History is a reconstruct of the past. It seems as if the past was to be away from the present. Is it true that this view. We borrow the Kuntowijoyo’s words: “Historians are like people take who takes the train to look back, and he can freely turn to the right and to the left, which can not be done is to look ahead”. History is a valuable clue, a picture of the past that can be used as guidelines in stride, present and future. The Indonesian Islam history has significance for this nation generation. Because it has its own characteristics compared to the history of Islam in other countries. It can give the feel of the real Islam in Indonesia. The Indonesian Islam is an Islamic hue promising future in the era of globalization. Thus, Indonesian Islam will be in focus in the eyes of the world. In this description, the writer describes the entry and the development of Islam in Indonesia with discussion; process and the introduction of Islam to Indonesia, acceptance by indigenous and institutionalization of Islam in society. Abstract

This study aims to compare the perceptions of psychologists and who do people ruqyah to trans possession phenomena. This research is a comparative descriptive study using a qualitative approach. The subjects of this study amounted to 6 people consisting of 3 people who work as psychologists and 3 people who work as who do people ruqyah in the Pondok Sehat Al-Wahida. Data collection techniques used are interviews, observation, and documentation. Analysis of the data used with descriptive-comparative methods.Based on the results of the research can be concluded that there are differences and similarities of perceptions of psychologists and people who do ruqyah in viewing at the trance phenomenon in the city of Banjarmasin. The difference between the perception of psychologists and people who do ruqyah in viewing the phenomenon of trance is that psychologists view the phenomenon of possession using psychological theory, while peruqyah views the phenomenon of possession using Islamic studies so that treatment given by psychologists and people who do ruqyah has this difference in accordance with their scientific competencies. As for the similarities between the perception of psychologists and people who the ruqyah in viewing at  the phenomenon of possession can be caused by psychological problems but they also believe in Islamic studies can be caused by a genie that penetrates the body,

Abstract

Initially Islamic Psychology studies and development made many Muslim scholars were spellbound by western psychology theories. They used them as a tool to analyze all sorts of phenomenon Muslim society and give the solution. It is important to remember that the Islamic Psychology concept should be built by the Muslim psychologists their selves. However, the western psychology concept is not necessarily suitable with the needs and purposes in Islam area. Because of that, the writer is interested to discuss the Islamic Psychology Methodology. Hopefully, Islamic Psychology can be an alternative way to solve Muslim society psychological problem especially and all of human being in generally. There were three approaches used by classic Muslim scholars to discuss psychic problem. They are skriptualis approach, falsafi/philosophy approach, and tasawwufi/Sufism approach. They are two studies in Islamic Psychology research; they are the theory and the method. Islam puts wahyu (divine revelation) as a religion paradigm which admits the existence of Allah in belief or in the implementation in the construction of science. Acsiologically, Islamic Psychology is built up to get the prosperity for human being. In epistemology, there is a relationship (nisbah) between mind and intuition. In ontology, it is for understanding human being as sunnatullah. Thus, al-Qur’an is the main source. Both of positivism and rationalism ideologies have different perspectives in finding the truth. Positivism believes that there is only one sensory truth. It could be observed and approved by anyone. In other side, Rationalism admits three truths. They are imperi-sensual truth, imperi-logic truth, and imperi-ethic. Both of the ideologies do not admit metaphysical and transcendental matters. As the result, the Islamic Psychology research will come true. Finally, to build up an Islamic Psychology as a branch of science, we still have so many things to do.

Abstract

It is important to deepen Akhlak teachings through seeing a figure of Ulama, who has a high integrity between knowledge and akhlak. Syekh Umar Ahmad Baradja is an Ulama who has a good character and he was very productive to make a lot of wiritings. Some of them are seperti Al-Akhlaq Lil Banin, kitab Al-Akhlaq Lil Banat, kitab Sullam Fiqih, kitab 17 Jauharah, dan kitab Ad’iyah Ramadhan. All of them were written in Arabic language, since 1950 were used as a main book in almost Islamic boarding school curriculumin Indonesia. He carved Indonesian Santri’s  character indirectly by his books. These books (Al-Akhlaq Lil Banin and kitab Al-Akhlaq Lil Banat) are as references for teachers in giving students external and internal education to control their attitude and behavior in daily life. Especially, when they are in public society and worship. The special things in his books are they made guidance about character (Akhlak) in two versions. One version is for boys and the other is for girls. The versions were made according to the needs of boys and girls to create a perfect character (Akhlak al-Karimah) to Allah and His creations. In the book also provided about some du’a (prayer text) and good actions, which had exemplified by Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) based on Qur’an and Sunnah. Syekh Umar Ahmad Baradja had told that before we come into mystical world or spiritual, we should learn about Akhlak teachings comprehensively. Likewise, who does good actions in this world, he will get matchless happiness. There is a harmony relationship between theservant and his God. It is the meaning of ethics in Sufism performance. We can take the model from the fabulous figure, who was able to relieve someone’s thirst in his heart and gave a light to the way to Allah.
