Abstract

Solving math puzzles is one of the most essential skills students should have in the 21st century. Despite this, Indonesian students' problem-solving ability still needs to improve. This research aims to analyze the effect of integrating computational thinking in geogebra-assisted measurement learning on mathematical problem-solving skills. This research uses a quantitative approach with an experimental type. The sample for this research consisted of 45 elementary school students using simple random sampling techniques. The methods used to collect data are observation and tests. The instrument used to collect data is test questions. The techniques used to analyze data are quantitative analysis and inferential statistics. The results showed that there was variation in the ability of the experimental and control groups to solve mathematical puzzles. The t-test results show an average difference between the pretest and post-test results in the control and experimental classes. There is a significant difference in problem-solving abilities between students who take part in learning using the computational thinking approach assisted by Geogebra and students who take part in learning without the computational thinking approach assisted by Geogebra. It was concluded that learning using a computational thinking approach assisted by Geogebra can improve problem-solving abilities.

Abstract

Problems arise mainly in the IT mastery of PAUD teachers, IKM in PAUD and the implementation of PjBL in PAUD. This study aimed to analyse PAUD teachers' ability to use information technology to implement the independent curriculum based on PjBL. This research applies a qualitative descriptive method, using an interview guideline instrument compiled based on aspects of IT mastery, IKM, and implementation of PjBL. The results of the study showed that the ability of PAUD teachers to use information technology in implementing the independent curriculum based on PjBL is categorized as good. The ability of PAUD teachers in the aspect of knowledge using information technology in implementing the independent curriculum based on PjBL is categorized as good and has a positive tendency. The ability of PAUD teachers to use information technology in implementing the independent curriculum based on PjBL is categorized as good but has a slight negative tendency. The ability of PAUD teachers in the aspect of skills in using information technology in implementing the independent curriculum based on PjBL is categorized as good and has a slight negative tendency. The study's conclusion shows that the aspects of knowledge, attitudes, and skills in using information technology have a solid relationship as a hierarchy of competency formation in using information technology in implementing the independent curriculum based on PjBL.

Abstract

Teachers have not included learning media in science learning, so students have difficulty learning. Based on this, this research aims to develop Card Match Circle Learning Media. This type of research is Research and Development (R&D) using ADDIE. This research used a small group of 6 subjects from fifth-grade elementary school students. The research subjects were 1 learning media expert and 1 learning materials expert.   The large group test participants for this research were 25 class V students. The methods used to collect data were interviews, observation, documentation and tests. The data collection instruments are in the form of questionnaires and test questions. The techniques used to analyze data are qualitative descriptive analysis, quantitative and inferential statistics. The research results, namely the feasibility test results, were obtained by 93.3% of media experts, and 92% of material experts who met the criteria were ready to be implemented. The t-test results show a fairly large difference in learning gains between the pretest and posttest scores of students in the small and large groups. The results of the N-gain test show that the increase in student learning outcomes is at medium criteria. It was concluded that the circle card match learning media on the diversity of Indonesian flora and fauna in class V was declared suitable for use and effective in improving the learning outcomes of science and science students in class V of elementary school. The research implication is that the media developed helps make it easier for students to learn.

Abstract

The lack of science learning media causes students to find it challenging to learn. This has an impact on low learning outcomes. This research aims to develop the Mistery Box Pekendo learning media for fourth-grade elementary school students on material about the Spread of Kingdoms in Indonesia. This type of research is Research and Development (R&D) using the Borg and Gall development model. The product's feasibility is tested by material expert validators, media experts, and users (teachers). The research subjects were 20 grade IV SDN students. Data collection methods in the research were interviews, observation, tests, questionnaires and documentation. Data collection instruments use questionnaires and test questions. The techniques used to analyze data are qualitative descriptive analysis and quantitative and inferential statistics. The research results are that the assessment from media experts is 95% (very feasible), and material experts are 83% (very feasible). The t-test results show differences in student learning outcomes after applying the mystery box pekendo media in learning science material. The results of the N-Gain test show that the increase in student learning outcomes is moderate. Abstract

Lack of use of interesting, creative, and diverse learning resources in the classroom can reduce students' motivation to learn, resulting in low student achievement. Therefore, this research aims to analyze the use of mystery box media on student motivation and learning achievement in Civics class IV elementary school subjects. This type of research uses a quasi-experimental approach in experimental quantitative research. The design of this research is an unequal control group design. The sample for this research was 25 experimental class students and 19 control class students. The data collection techniques are tests, questionnaires, documentation, observation, and interviews. Validity and reliability tests are used in the testing instrument. The data analysis techniques used are t-test, N-Gain, homogeneity test, normality test, and descriptive analysis. The research results showed that the experimental class's average post-test learning achievement score was more significant than the average post-test score for the control class. The t-test value shows differences in student learning outcomes after using mystery box media in the Civics class IV elementary school subject. In addition, the experimental group showed a higher learning motivation level than the control group. It was concluded that the application of mystery box media was significantly practical for students' learning motivation and achievement in class IV civics education (PPKn) in elementary school.

Abstract

The underlying problem of this research is the lack of optimal application of teaching materials that can increase students' creativity and innovation, in accordance with 21st century skills. This study aims to test the practicality of Project-Based Learning (PjBL)-based worksheet design in science learning in elementary schools. The type of research used is development research using the 4-D model (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate). The subject of this research involves design experts, material experts, technology experts, as well as teachers and students to test aspects of validity, practicality, and attractiveness. Data was collected through a non-test method in the form of a questionnaire that was quantitatively analyzed to evaluate product quality. The results of the study show that the average validation score of PjBL-based worksheets reaches 98%, indicating that this product is very valid. In addition, the results of the practicality test by teachers and students placed this worksheet in the very practical category. Based on these results, PjBL-based worksheets are declared feasible and effective to be used as teaching materials in elementary school learning. The implications of this study show that the development of PjBL-based teaching materials can be an innovative solution to improve the quality of learning in elementary schools.
