Abstract

Organizing car parking inside ships presents a logistical challenge that requires effective solutions to maximize space utilization and facilitate the entry and exit of vehicles. This study explores the implementation of stack data structures in a car parking system inside ships. The stack method is chosen due to its LIFO (Last In, First Out) characteristics, which are suitable for situations where the last vehicle to enter is the first to exit, optimizing vehicle flow when the ship docks. The system is designed using stack algorithms to arrange the parking position of each vehicle, minimizing the time and space required for maneuvers. Simulation results show that the stack implementation improves parking efficiency by up to 30% compared to conventional methods. Additionally, this system can reduce vehicle wait times for exiting by up to 25%. This implementation also considers the safety and stability factors of the ship by balancing the distribution of vehicle weights. Therefore, this study concludes that the use of stack data structures in organizing car parking inside ships can enhance operational efficiency and maximize parking capacity.

Abstract

Waste is a residue of daily human activities and is a natural process in solid form which is always found around human life. This condition is increasingly increasing as the population increases and causes more and more waste to be generated. Thus, it is a problem faced throughout the country or world, including in the Southwest Papua Province, Indonesia. The waste issue is a special concern for related parties, including the Environmental Protection and Management Service (DPPLH) and other sectors in Southwest Papua Province. This is done as an effort to prevent waste generation which can cause problems, one of which is flooding which has an impact on the social life of the people in the Southwest Papua region. Efforts to handle waste can be carried out through the use of technology as a medium of communication, outreach and information carried out by the government and the community through the Waste Transport Management Information System (SIASAH) platform at the Department. Therefore, this research can provide a thought contribution in the context of inter-line communication management related to efforts to build synergy to resolve the waste problem in Southwest Papua. The research approach used is a qualitative approach with a focus on information system development. Data collection efforts at the Sorong City Environmental Protection and Management Service (DPPLH), PT. Hendrina, the community, as well as several TPS and TPA in the Southwest Papua Province. Data obtained through observation and interviews. This system was created using the Rapid Application Development (RAD) Model with stages: 1) analysis and quick design, 2) prototype cycles (using the Balsamic mockup application 3 UML system modeling and the rational rise application then database design using MySQL), 3) testing using blackbox testing, and 4) implementation (using the SIASAH system that has been designed). The SIASAH system is here to become an educational platform for the public in providing information and improving government public services as well as providing digital-based information media support.

Abstract

Scholarship selection is an important process in determining the acceptance of educational assistance based on established criteria. Decision Support Systems (DSS) have proven their value in assisting complex decision making. In the context of scholarship selection, Tsukamoto's fuzzy approach in decision support systems is an effective tool for modeling the complexity and uncertainty of selection criteria. This system utilizes fuzzy logic to connect variable inputs such as academic achievement, financial condition, and other factors to output in the form of membership values in the scholarship acceptance category. The fuzzy rules defined by educational experts and practitioners enable the system to interpret conditions that are closer to human thinking. Thus, Tsukamoto's fuzzy approach in decision support systems becomes an effective tool in simplifying the complexity of scholarship selection, while providing data-based solutions. More objective and comprehensive.

Abstract

Schools, as institutions in the field of education, engage in extensive administrative data processing, including student data, teacher information, employee records, student grades, and tuition payment data. The volume of this data is substantial, necessitating efficient storage and administration. Currently, many schools manage administrative data manually, relying on ledger books and stacks of paper stored in file cabinets. This manual system has inherent weaknesses. The problem addressed is how to design a web-based administrative system to efficiently and accurately manage student, teacher, employee, assessment, payment, and payment report data according to specific needs. The chosen system development method is the Waterfall model, with the Unified Modeling Language (UML) as the analysis and design tool. The database is designed using phpMyAdmin in the WampServer application. The programming language employed is PHP (Hypertext Preprocessor), and the database is implemented using MySQL. Blackbox testing is utilized as the testing method. The goal is for this system to assist MTs Al-Kautsar Bogor in managing administration more effectively and efficiently.

Abstract

Ever increasing beef demand and government desire to fulfill it has built stress on beef production system. The system then tries to increase it production capacity by increasing cattle population. This leads to the increment of greenhouse gas emission. Specifically, cattle dominate 65% of greenhouse gas emission from agricultural activity. With the densest beef cattle population, East Java have the biggest amount of green house gas emission from beef cattle in Indonesia. The purpose of the research is to find out what mitigation is the most effective to reduce this emission. A model of green house gas emission from beef cattle developed using system dynamic approach. It includes stages such as problem articulation, development of dynamic hypothesis, simulation model formulation, model validation and scemario development. Secondary data from previous researches are used in the model development. Several mitigation scenarios then developed and applied to the model. According to the model developed, emission can be reduced by implementing feed additive. Natural feed additive is used on the model instead of syntetic chemical. This mitigation scenario is able to reduce overal greenhouse gas emission by 4% by adding 15% of Acacia mangnium leaves to the feed. Model and scenatio can be used by stakeholders as reference to mitigate green house gas emission from beef cattle.

Abstract

The increase in the number of inmates in Indonesia, particularly in Pematangsiantar City, is a significant social issue. In this context, it is important to predict inmate levels based on demographic factors, including gender. One promising approach is the use of Artificial Neural Networks (ANN) with the Backpropagation Conjugate Gradient (BPCG) algorithm. ANN is a computational model that mimics the way the human brain processes information and has been used in various applications, including crime prediction. The BPCG algorithm is a variant of the backpropagation algorithm that efficiently accelerates the convergence of ANN training. This study aims to implement ANN with the BPCG algorithm to predict inmate levels in Pematangsiantar City based on gender and to evaluate the performance of this model in the context of available crime data. MATLAB (version 7.13 R2011b) was used as a tool, employing five model architectures (7-3-1, 7-5-1, 7-11-1, 7-12-1, and 7-15-1) to test data for estimation/prediction. The best model, 7-12-1, achieved 100% accuracy with 16 iterations in less than 1 second and an MSE of 0.1477446359. With 100% accuracy, this model will be used to predict the number of inmates in Pematangsiantar City by gender in 2023. This study can make a significant contribution to the fields of criminology and data analysis and serve as a reference for future research on the use of artificial intelligence in legal and criminal contexts.

Abstract

The face is one of the easiest physiological measurements and is often used to distinguish the identity of one individual from another. This facial recognition process uses raw information from image pixels produced through the camera which is then represented in the Principal Components Analysis method. The way the Principal Components Analysis method works is by calculating the average flatvector pixel of images that have been stored in a database, from the average flatvector the eigenface value of each image will be obtained and then the closest eigenface value of the image will be searched for. image of the face you want to recognize. The test results show the overall success rate of face recognition that the application can carry out face recognition using digital camera hardware for the attendance system by displaying the name of the face owner as well as the date and time of recognition. The average accuracy value of the test with the light intensity level is 96.66%, the accuracy value The average test value with changes in the distance between the camera and the face was 98.33% and the average accuracy value of the test using glasses and hat accessories was 85%.
