Abstract

Untuk mengoptimalkan fungsi dari sebuah alat ukur, maka dilakukan perancangan dengan menggabungkan alat ukur kecepatan putaran motor (RPM meter) dengan alat pendeteksi kestabilan suatu putaran pada porosnya (Balance detector). Alat ini menggunakan sensor optocoupler, mikrokontroler AVR ATmega 8535 dan tampilan display LCD. Prinsip kerja sensor ini adalah sensor optocoupler digunakan untuk mendeteksi kecepatan putaran pada motor dan juga kestabilan putaran pada poros (shaft) motor yang hasilnya dapat dilihat pada peraga LCD. Pilihan pengukuran dengan menggunakan saklar pemilih.

Abstract

PLN is the only company in Indonesia that serves and supplies electricity which is a necessity for many people. Various PLN’s customer needs electricity to do all of their activities. However ifthere is an interference in the electricity distribution, then all of the activities will stop. That results the decrease of PLN’s quality of service and must be increased by handling all of the interference as quickly as possible. One of the tools to solve electricity interference quickly and accurately is by developing an expert system. In this research, an expert system was developed to help identifyingelectricity interference quickly and accurately from customer’s reports. Case based reasoning is the method that is used in developing the expert system in this research and backward chaining is the inference machine. Based on the results of the verification and validation of PLN’s expert, interference unit operator, and field technician; showed that the system was able to identify theinterference that occurred and gave an accurate solution toward customer’s report.

Abstract

The analysis of autofrettage on fatigue-crack propagation of crack are well documented, that is experimental work shows the effects of positive stress ratio or tensile-minimum stress during thefatigue cycles on the fatigue-crack inition from holes. This simulates model the effect of the residual-tensile stresses at the outside surface of autofrettage cylinders. S-N curves and modifiedGoodman diagrams are shown for fatigue-crack inition. This allows a tremendous advantage in retarding crack initiation and propagation in the early stages of crack growth, wich accounts for thedramatic increases in useful service life for an autofrettage cylinder compared to a nonautofrettaged cylinder.

Abstract

KWH meter system of Automatic Meter Reading or hereafter will be referred to the kWH meter AMR is a recording system of electric energy meter is done automatically and remotely.Communication data sent by the kWH meter AMR of PT PLN (Persero) Jakarta and Tangerang Distribution using SMS modem which interfacing kWHmeterselectronic withwireless telecommunications networks. kWH meter AMR have features other than noting the energy used, also noting the voltage, electric current, power factor(cos ϕ), and as well as the use of electricity meters in record-keeping more quickly. Thus the PT PLN (Persero) Distribution can perform distribution network management (DNM) that makes it easier in terms of channeling energy into customers and monitoring the electric energy usage by customers. The results of the analysis of kWh meter AMR system can reduce losses caused by abnormalities in the distribution network system. SMS telemetry signal communication with the modem is unstable and often fail withdrawal data. To overcome the problem of the use of the old modem, the modem needs to be replaced with GPRS / LTE user ready. However, the use of power line communication (PLC) as a data transmission network to reduce reliance on mobile telecommunications networks.

Abstract

Excitation system is one of the most important parts of synchronous generators, where the system functions to provide dc power to the field generator coil. Iin this study, a static excitation system consisting of transformers and connected thyristors in bridge configuration has been implemented in synchronous machines that operate as 206,1 mva capacity generators, 16,5 kv using the help of matlab simulink r2017b software. By adjusting the load given to the generator, variations in excitation currents can affect the amount of output voltage generated by the generator so that it can increase and decrease the induced voltage. In full load conditions, namely p = 175 mw, q = 100 mvar, the results of the study show that when the simulation is run at alpha 0 °, it is known that the average value of dc voltage is 496,4 v, excitation current is 1057 a and voltage generator output has increased beyond its nominal voltage of 16,72 kv. in this case, to maintain the terminal voltage, the excitation current must be reduced by increasing the angle of shooting of the thyristor to an alpha angle of 45 °, so that the average dc voltage can be reduced to 479,3 v, as well as the excitation current to 985,9 a. the generator output voltage at the alpha 45 ° angle is obtained according to its nominal value of 1,.5 kv.

Abstract

The latest electric train at this time has begun to be widely used linear synchronous motors with permanent magnets as driving locomotives. This permanent magnet has the same function as a conventional synchronous motor which is to produce a magnetic field so that the motor can move linearly. This linear synchronous motor does not have a gear (gear) and axis, but the mechanical motion of this linear motor is synchronous with the magnetic field running. This running magnetic field is produced by the entanglement of the three phases and the arrangement of magnetic poles U, S, U, S. Because the motor is linear synchronous is a high-speed motor, the mechanical speed is the same as the speed of the magnetic field running. So that this motor is capable of producing large thrust compared to the use of conventional motors (DC motors and induction motors) to drive electric rail trains. If the conventional synchronous motor uses a frequency of 50 Hz, then the linear high-speed synchronous motor uses a frequency of 5-50 Hz in changing its speed and this research the efficiency, electromagnetic power (thrust) and thrust force of a synchronous motor will be analyzed. linear according to the frequency selection from 5-50 Hz, to drive the electric train locomotive.

Abstract

The level of reliability of a distribution system is very important to ensure the continuity of electricity supply to consumers. This research was conducted to calculate the Saidi reliability index and the Saifi 20 kV distribution system in Pinang PLN in 2017 with the help of the Matlab R2008a application. A GUI is one of the Matlab programs that is widely used in describing information and commands, and its users are possible to form and format themselves according to the needs of the system itself. With the help of this software, it is hoped that it will be easier to calculate the system reliability index, namely the calculation of SAIDI and SAIFI, then the results can be made so that the database is more organized. The calculation results obtained will show the highest and lowest SAIDI and SAIFI values ​​that occur in each of the current months, making it easier to evaluate, analyze and improve the reliability of the electrical power system network in the future, especially in PT.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini membahas tentang rekonfigurasi jaringan untuk meminimalkan rugi jaringan pada sistem distribusi. Nilai rekonfigurasi jaringan dibatasi oleh jumlah tie switch yang ada pada jaringan distribusi. Rekonfigurasi jaringan Distribusi merupakan salah satu cara yang dilakukan untuk memperbaiki kualitas daya, kualitas daya dalam hal ini adalah perbaikan jatuh tegangan dan rugi – rugi daya. Binary firefly algorithm digunakan untuk optimasi rekonfigurasi jaringan Distribusi IEEE 33 bus. Skema ini diujikan pada sistem 12,66 kV. Hasil simulasi dengan menggunakan binary firefly algorithm pada saat belum dilakuakn optimasi pada sistem distribusi IEEE 33 bus memiliki rugi jaringan sebesar 202,69 kW dengan tegangan minimum 0,91 pu. Setelah rekonfigurasi jaringan rugi jaringan yang optimal sebesar 139,53 kW dengan tegangan minimum 0,95 pu. Kata kunci: Rekonfigurasi, Rugi-rugi Daya, Fire Fly Algorithm

Abstract

The Multipurpose Reactor G.A Siwabessy is a research reactor equipped with a Cooling System consisting of 2 systems, namely the primary cooling system and the secondary cooling system. This Project discusses the effectiveness of using the Soft starter method in the initial starting process of the electric motor in the secondary cooling system which aims to reduce the value of a high current surge when the motor starts working. The data type used is primary data obtained directly by the author through a measurement process with a measuring instrument. When using the Star-Delta method the surge current is 765 A while with the Soft starter method there is a decrease in the current surge value to 517 A, the conclusion of the result is a decrease in the current surge value of 0,677% using the Soft starter method .
