Jurnal ini mempublikasikan artikel hasil penelitian tentang pendidikan dan pengajaran, dan artikel yang masuk hendaknya bukan hasil plagiat dan belum dipublikasikan di tempat lain. Abstract

This research aimed to analyze (1) The influence of bidikmisi scholarship allocation (cost to support study) to the learning result of  bidikmisi students at the academic year 2011 at State University of Padang, (2) The influence of peers to the learning result of bidikmisi students at the academic year 2011 at State University of Padang, (3) The influence of learning habit to the learning result of bidikmisi students at the academic year 2011 at State University of Padang, and (4) The influence of bidikmisi scholarship allocation (cost to support study), peers, and learning habit to the learning result of  bidikmisi students at the academic year 2011 at State University of Padang. This is a quantitative descriptive research, which consists of three independent variables and one dependent variable. There are 500 students as the population of this research.  The proportional random sampling technique is used to choose the sample. There are 87 bidikmisi students of the academic year 2011 as the research sample. The data collected by distribution of questionnaire to the research respondent and documentation of IPK each of research respondent taken from BAAK. The technique of data analysis is multiple regression with SPSS program Version 16. The research result shows that (1) Bidikmisi scholarship allocation (cost to support study) a significant influence to the learning result of  bidikmisi students at the academic year 2011 at State University of Padang. (2) Peers a significant influence to the learning result of bidikmisi students at the academic year 2011 at State University of Padang, (3) Learning habit a significant influence to the learning result of bidikmisi students at the academic year 2011 at State University of Padang, and (4) Bidikmisi scholarship allocation (cost to support study), peers, and learning habit a significant influence to the learning result of bidikmisi students at the academic year 2011 at State University of Padang. Keyword:  Pengalokasian Beasiswa Bidikmisi, Lingkungan Teman Sebaya, Kebiasaan Belajar, Hasil Belajar

Abstract

The life crises threatening Suku Anak Dalam (SAD)/ Orang Rimba are inevitable along with the difficulty of obtaining food and clean water sources in forests due to forest destruction and the widespread conversion of forests into plantations and industrial timber estates. Meanwhile, in the fulfillment of the necessities of life, SAD till now still has traditional livelihoods, namely: hunting and gathering, farming (cultivating), catching fish and selling honey and making handicrafts. This paper is a literature review with a view to knowing (1) Culture conected with the livelihood of Suku Anak Dalam (SAD); (2) Cultural-based Business Potentials in particular the livelihood of Orang Asli SAD; And (3) Life-based Life Skill Education needed by SAD. Based on this study, there are some potential SAD-based cultural enterprises / livelihoods, as follows: (a). Agricultural Enterprises, consisting of Wetland Farming and Dryland Farming; (B). Plantation Enterprises, consisting of Plantation of Hard Crops, Fruit Plantation, and Palawija Plantation; (C). The Livestock Business consists of 4-legged Animal Husbandry, Animal Husbandry of Poultry (Poultry Meat and Poultry Laying), Reptile Farm, and Beek Honey Farm; (D). Fishery Business, consist of Fishery Pond, Fishery of Karamba, and Ornamental Fish; (E). Handicraft Business, consisting of Wood and Rattan Handicraft, Leaf Handicraft, Grain-Based Handicraft, and Handicraft Traditional / Cultural Supplies; And (f). Business Trade Business Results. In connection with the potential Life Skills Education / Life Skill that can and should be given to SAD residents in facing the future is: (a). PKH of Agriculture Business Sector (a.1 Wetland Agriculture and a.2 Dryland Farming), (b). PKH Field of Plantation Business (b.1 Hard Crop Plantation, b.2 Fruit Plantation, b.3 Palawija Plantation), (c). Abstract

The contribution of subject teachers to the implementation of teacher guidance and counselingprogram and education providers in schools is a system, in which each component works together to achieve the instructional and curricular goals. The subject teacher is a co-worker of  the teacher guidance and counseling in carrying out his duties at school, because the subject teacher interacts mostly with the students in every students’ activities. Subject teachers have an important role in the implementation of guidance and counseling services. Various cases of learners, especially those related to learning problems, can be assisted  and handled by subject teachers.This research was conducted with the aim to see the level of contribution of subject teachers to the implementation of guidance and counseling program in SMA Negeri 1 Muaro Jambi. The research population was the level of contribution of subject teachers to the implementation of guidance and counseling program. In addition, the respondent population was26 subject teachers who teach in XI IPAclass. The questionnaire contained a list of questions that referred to the criteria of guidance and counseling services that were used as data collection. The results reveal that the level of contribution of subject teachers to the implementation of guidance and counseling program in class XI IPA SMA Negeri 1 Muaro Jambi is good that is 80.01%. Keywords: Subject Teachers, Guidance, Counseling

Abstract

This research is aimed at describing the functions of Swear Words in the “Celebrity Mean Tweets” in Jimmy Kimmel Late Show. The data is taken from the tweets of the celebrities in Jimmy Kimmel Late Show. The design of this research is qualitative research. In collecting the data, the researcher retypes all the swear words that are found in the celebrity read mean tweets with left the tweet without swear words, change the data from video into the word file. Then, the technique for analyzing the data is by pointing out the functions of swear words used by those celebrities. The conclusion shows that there are four functions of swearing according to this data, there are the abusive swearing, the largest and the most frequent, the emphatic, the dysphematic and the lowest and least frequent, the idiomatic. Even though their functions are different, but they are connected in the relation; which they are used to either insult, emphasis, explain the vulgar situation and change the word, they still used to fill the swear words by its function, either insult people, emphasizing bad words, explain the vulgar situation to insult and change the word into insult word. Keywords: Swear Words, Social Media

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menemukan pengaruh Outlining Technique terhadap kemampuan menulis siswa pada teks prosedur. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen. Populasinya adalah kelas delapan SMPN 4 Sungai Penuh yang berjumlah 85 siswa. Dan sampel diambil dengan teknik “random sampling” yang terdiri dari 28 siswa kelas VIII A sebagai kelas eksperimen dan 29 siswa kelas VIII B sebagai kelas kontrol. Instrumen yang digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data adalah tes menulis. Dengan demikian, hasil peneltian ditemukan dengan persentase nilai siswa setelah test. Kelas experimen memperoleh 65,57% dan kelas kontrol 62,21%. Sedangkan hasil tersebut dibuktikan dengan menguji hipotesis t-tes, yang mana t-tabel pada taraf signifikannya 0,05. Hingga hasilnya adalah thitung (0,79)< ttabel (1,67). Dari hasil tes ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa tidak ada pengaruh penggunaan teknik uraian terhadap kemampuan menulis siswa pada teks prosedur. Keyword : Outlining Technique, Procedure Text, Students’ Writing

Abstract

This research is motivated by low learning result of student math in school. The low learning outcomes are influenced by the factors of learning strategies that are less varied, the saturation of students in the learning process, and the lack of involvement of learners since the beginning of learning. The main purpose of this study is to determine the effect of assessment assessment strategy on student learning outcomes, and is pre experimental research with randomized control group design only. Based on the final test of learning result obtained the average of learning result of math in experimental class 77,33 and the mean of result of learning of control class mathematics 66,67. The result of t-test analysis obtained t is equal to 2.15 and t table is equal to 1.67 at real level of 0.05 with dk equal to 46 (tcount larger ttable) means accept H1 means student's mathematics learning outcomes in ekprimen better than class control. Based on the hypothesis test it can be concluded that there is influence assessment assessment strategy on student learning outcomes mathematics.Keyword: Assessment Search

Abstract

This paper is aimed at revealing (1) The role of entrepreneurship course in ASEAN Economic Community (AEC), and (2) The characteristics of entrepreneur in ASEAN Economic Community (AEC). This paper is made by relevance of library. The data are collected by documentation technique. The result of this paper show that (1) Entrepreneurship course is a really important course in university to create university graduate who have hard skill and soft skill as an entrepreneur. English Learning is a process where a learner expanding his/her knowledge about English and its implementation. Speaking Difficulty is the inhibition that a learner used to face when they learn to use language orally. Abstract

The ability of mathematical communication includes two things namely the ability of students to use mathematics as a means of communication (language of mathematics), and the ability to communicate the mathematics learned. The indicators of mathematical communication abilities are: 1) Written Text, which provides answers using its own language, modeling situations or problems using writing, graphics and algebra, explaining or describing mathematical concepts that have been studied, making conjectures, formulating arguments and generalizations; 2) Drawing, ie reflecting real objects, drawings and diagrams into mathematical ideas; 3) Mathematical Expression, ie expressing mathematical concepts by declaring them in language or mathematical symbols. The formulation of the problem in this research is how is the communication skill matemats of students of class IX SMPN 17 Kota Jambi? While the purpose of this study is to describe the mathematical communication skills of class IX students SMPN 17 Kota Jambi. This research includes the type of qualitative research that uses descriptive qualitative research methodology. While the subject of the study is the students of class IX A SMPN 17 Kota Jambi. Data collection techniques conducted in this study include tests, documentation, and interviews. Abstract

The low learning outcomes of mathematics students of SMP Negeri 5 Kota Jambi become the background of this research. One of the causes is less optimal learning process in school. The role of teachers who are more active in the learning process causes students to only receive the material and record it so as to cause a sense of boredom and tend to be passive. Cooperative learning model Talking Stick type is expected to help teachers in the delivery of teaching materials well, so as to improve student learning outcomes. This study is an experimental research that aims to see the results of learning mathematics through cooperative learning model type of talking stick with conventional learning. The population in this study is all students of class VIII SMP Negeri 5 Kota Jambi. The sample class is class VIII A as experiment class and class VIII C as control class. Based on the results of research conducted on the final test score (post-test), obtained the average value of the experimental class of 76.5 and the results of the average grade of control class 70.9, and from the results of hypothesis test obtained t count of 2.13 and ttable of 1.68. From the calculation shows that t count is bigger than ttable so H0 is rejected and H1 accepted. So it can be concluded that the results of learning mathematics students using cooperative learning model type of talking stick higher than the mathematics learning outcomes of students through conventional learning.Keywords: Learning Outcomes, Cooperative Learning Model Type Talking Stick, Conventional Learning
