Abstract

This research’s aims to describe about class management and student’s motivation to learn and also to find out if there is an influence of management class on student’s motivation to learn in SMK Negeri 1 Jambi City School Year 2018/2019. This research’s take place in SMK Negeri 1 Jambi City on July 2018 with sample of 52 respondens. Research data obtained by distributing questionnaiers to students. After the questionnaiers is filled and returned to the researcher, then the researcher analyzed the data with descriptive statistics and interference statistics with data analytical techniques simple regression. The result showed that the description of class management has 73,32% quality including good catergory. Then, th decription of student’s motivation to learn has 73,25% quality including high category. While, the influence of class management on student’s motivation’s learn has 28,5% with regression’s equal Y = 47.007 + 0,462 X this is based on determination coefficient, earned value R square as much as 0,285. The result of this research is to recommend the teachers to increase the ability of management class, then the headmaster should give the training to the teachers about class management, and also to students should discussed with teachers and homeroom teacher about class management.Keywords: Class Management, Motivation To Learn

Abstract

One of methods to control the distribution of diseases is through effective preventive programs.  The Clean and Healthy Living Behaviour (PHBS) is often used for preventive action by controlling the community behaviour to minimize the interaction between human and agents. The implementation of PHBS accounted for 43,40% in Province of Jambi.  According to the data from Ministry of Health,  thr national implementation of PHBS amongst household was 54,85% and 53,89% in 2010 and 2011 respectively. This research is an analytical study using cross sectional design. Thr study aims to identify determinant factors associated with community behaviour.  Analytical survey refers to a study which deeply explore how and why the health phenomenon occurs.  This is later analysed using correlation and phenomenon dynamic analysis. The research indicates that there is no significant correlation among educational degree,  income,  family member,  knowledge and attitude towards clean and healthy living behavior. After conducting the test,  however,  the educational degree,  income,  family members,  and attitute are indicated as counfounding factors. It is recommended that inter sectoral collaborative works are essentially required in order to develop community empowernment, particularly using media and participatory action method to apply healthy behaviour. Keyword: Factor Analysis, The Clean and Healthy Living Behaviour

Abstract

The lack of students ability in understanding reading texts show that the students are not able to understand reading comprension learning. This is why some efforts are made to increase the students learning process and by using CIRC Cooperative Model. This research is intended to identify the success of CIRC cooperative model application in increasing the quality of students learning process and outcome in reading comprehension of Class VIII students of SMP Purnama 3 Kota Jambi. This research is Classroom Action Research. The location of the research is SMP Purnama 3 Kota Jambi. The total number of the students is 23 students. This research consists of two cycles, in which every cycle uses planning, action, observation, and reflection. The instrument of the research is observation sheets, field note, questionnaire, and test. The technique of analyzing data is by using data reduction, data presenting, and conclusion. While the data of students learning quality is taken from mean formulae. The result of the research is that the application of CIRC cooperative model makes the process of learning becomes interesting, fun, and having contribution because the students show their active response in learning process. The students become autonomous, creative, and aware in thinking and solving problems in reading. In cycle I, the students are in enough criterion (71,5%) and in cycle II it is increasing to good criterion (82%). The mean score of cycle I is 71,25 which falls in enough criterion and the score in cycle II is increasing to 82 which falls to good criterion. Based on the result of the research, it can be concluded that the application of CIRC cooperative model is useful in increasing the quality of learning process and learning outcome of students reading comprehension. The research suggests to those especially to the teacher of Indonesian language and art of Junior High School who happen to have the same problem can apply this model as a reference on the same research. In contrast, the classroom action research by using CIRC cooperative model need a further investigation by using innovative development.Keywords: CIRC Cooperative Model, Learning Quality, Reading Comprehension

Abstract

This research aims to: (1) Describe the ability to write news text students are taught using STAD type cooperative learning model and students are taught using direct learning model; (2) Describe the ability to write high-priority student-language text texts that are taught using STAD-type cooperative models and are taught using direct learning models; (3) Describe the ability to write low-priority student-language text texts that are taught using STAD-type cooperative models and are taught using direct learning models, and (4) Describe the interaction of cooperative learning model type STAD and initial ability to the ability to write news text of students of class VIII SMP Negeri 24 Jambi. The type of this research is quantitative with 2x2 factorial experimental designs. The population of the research is the students of class VIII SMP Negeri 24 consisting of 6 classes. The sample of this research is class VIIIA for experiment class with 40 students and class VIIIB for control class with 38 students. Sample determination is determined by purposive sampling technique. The data of students' news text writing capability was obtained using performance test and analyzed using two ways Anova test. Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that STAD type cooperative learning model affects the ability to write student news text. The effect can be explained as follows. First, the ability to write news texts of students taught using STAD type cooperative learning model is better than students taught using direct learning model. Second, the ability to write high-priority students' text news taught using STAD type cooperative models is better than students taught using direct learning models. Third, the ability to write low-priority students' text taught using STAD type cooperative models is better than students being taught using direct learning models. Fourth, there is no interaction between STAD type cooperative learning model and initial ability to write news text skills of students of class VIII SMP Negeri 24 Jambi.Keywords: Writing News Texts, Cooperative Learning, Direct Learning

Abstract

Al-Falah Jambi Islamic Primary School (SDI Al-Falah Jambi) is the best Moslem Primary School which is located in Jambi City with many prestation, although SDI Al-Falah Jambi do not applicate integration information system for learning activities through multimedia and online because human capital is not capable. This research purpose is analysis learning plan through information technology and system integration strategy in the SDI Al-Falah Jambi.Research time was done on October 2016 in SDI Al-Falah Jambi. Indeed sampling technique was purposive sampling. Research result shownthatSDI Al-Falah Jambi do not have facilities and equipment that match for supporting learning activities through multimedia and online information technology and system integration, and architecture development proposal in SDI Al-Falah Jambi are organitation, business, data, technology, and solution.Keywords : Multimedia, Online, Planning, Learning

Abstract

This study examines the improvement of students' mathematical connection skills through the application of Accelerated Learning Cycle learning. Through quasi-experimental research with non-equivalent control groups, 100 students were included in the algebra and trigonometry courses in the FKIP UIR Mathematics Education Study Program. The research instrument used consisted of a mathematical connection test device. Data analysis using the Mann-Whitney test. The results of this study indicate that the increase in mathematical connection ability of experimental class students is better than the control class (p = 0,000, p <0,05). Abstract

The purpose of this research is to determine (1) the process of developing Muara Jambi Temple learning video based on local history in Indonesian history up to the 15th century subject History Study Program of Batanghari University Jambi (2) the advisability of Muara Jambi Temple learning video based on local history in Indonesian history up to the 15th century subject History Study Program of Batanghari University Jambi. The type of this research are research and development. This research emphasizes an effort to produce certain products that will be used in certain fields of science and can also be used in an activity that needs it. The development which was carried out in this research is developing video learning media. To determine the feasibility of the media, the media experts and material experts validated the media that had been made and then conducted a media trial to the students, the trial was carried out in three stages, one to one, small group trials, and field test trials. The results showed that (1) the stages of developing Muara Jambi Temple learning video based on local history in Indonesian history up to the 15th century subject adopted the steps or stages which were developed by Lee and Owens which consisted of five stages, namely analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. (2) The results of the assessment by media experts for all aspects obtained an average score of 4.1 with good category and reasonable to be used. Furthermore, based on the media expert's assessment, the average of all aspects is 4.3 with a very good category so that the material reasonable to be used. The feasibility of Muara Jambi Temple learning video based on local history in Indonesian history up to the 15th century subject based on student assessment in the field test obtained an average of all aspects, namely 4.3 in the very good category so that the media was very suitable to be used in this learning activity.Keywords: Instructional Media, Local History, Muara Jambi Temple

Abstract

Potential is a basic capability that has not been revealed. Every human being has the potential to develop himself differently. For the disclosure it required a condition outside of himself. Educational institution is a formal institution that has the main task to reveal and develop the potential of each learners, therefore in coaching and evaluation of learners should use an individual approach, not general. Developments experienced and experienced by individual students. While education is an interaction. In the interaction activities, educators or teachers act to educate the students or students. The act of educating is focused on the development of students become independent through the learning process. In general, developmental theories revolve around issues related to innate and environmental influences for individual development. Active in the sense of learners must be conditioned actively by nature, active because of the impulse from within himself naturally, for that required conditions that are individual. Coaching and evaluation are applied individually. The academic potential, talents and interests of learners are really taken into account, therefore rewards in various forms, such as awarding certificates, stickers symbolizing appreciation of achievement for various subject areas, even if necessary, rewarding, facilitating as much as possible all academic achievements, talents and interests rather than learners. The teacher looks at the potential / academic achievements, talents and interests that run naturally, to further develop. The learners are not forced to master a particular field that has been applied by the institution or government (general), the ability is the ability of himself naturally, not because of the pressures that burden the learner and also that will cause the parents worries. All conditioned naturally, naturally, the recognition of the ability of self-implanted early so that no need to push yourself beyond ability. Each individual has their respective advantages, the problem is how to utilize that ability, whatever the form.

Abstract

Gastritis is an inflammation of the gastric mucosa that can be acute, chronic, diffuse or localized, the stomach is a digestive device that functions mechanically in storing food and drinks, breaking food into small particles, mixing with gastric fluid and gradually entering the intestine . The clinical picture of erosive acute gastritis varies from mild, asymptomatic, to very severe. Factors for gastritis are foods contaminated with bacteria, caffeine-containing drinks, alcohol, drugs such as non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs aspirin, acidic foods and drinks, spicy foods, and irregular diets. This research is an analytical study with a cross sectional approach. The sample of this study were students from Jambi City High School who were randomly drawn to get 930 samples. The results obtained from 930 respondents, most (61.3%) had chronic gastritis. And found a significant relationship between diet and the onset of symptoms of acute and chronic gastritis with P-Value = 0,000. Based on the results of this study, the researchers expect health information, especially regarding gastritis by local health workers so as to reduce the incidence of acute and chronic gastritis. Keywords: Acute Gastritis, Chronic Gastritis, Gastritis Factors

Abstract

This study aims to determine the ability of solving mathematical problems through creative problem solving learning model higher than the direct learning model on the students of class X state senior high school of Jambi city. This research is an experimental research because of causal relationship. The way this study is to compare one or more comparison group that have received treatment. The sample of this research is class X MIA 1 as experiment class which is taught by creative problem solving model, while control class is X MIA 2 which is taught by direct learning model. From the result of research and discussion that have been done can be concluded that the ability of solving mathematical problems of students who are studied through the creative problem solving (experiments) learning model obtained an average of 71,9 and students in the learning through direct learning model (control) average 63,3. Of the two clasess obtained tcount is 4,17 and ttable is 1,66 then in this case H0 is rejected and H1 accepted at 95% confidence level. Then it can be concluded that the problem solving ability of mathematical students taught through creative problem solving learning model is higher that the students taught through direct learning model in class X state senior high school of Jambi city.Keywords: Mathematical Problem Solving Ability, Creative Problem Solving Learning Model, Direct Learning Model.
