Abstract

Low student interest and learning outcomes in Integrated Social Studies subjects in Elementary Schools/Islamic Elementary Schools are often caused by conventional learning approaches and a lack of active student involvement. The Problem Based Learning (PBL) model offers a solution through contextual problem solving. This study aims to analyze the implementation of the PBL model in Integrated Social Studies learning in Elementary Schools/Islamic Elementary Schools and identify its impact on student learning outcomes. This study uses a literature study method by analyzing various relevant journal articles, books, and scientific publications published in 2018-2023. The results of the analysis show that the application of PBL in Integrated Social Studies is effective in improving students' conceptual understanding, critical thinking skills, collaboration, and learning motivation. PBL stages such as problem orientation, learning organization, independent inquiry, development and presentation of results, as well as analysis and evaluation, are successfully applied in the context of local problems close to students' lives.

Abstract

This paper examines the important role of cultural diversity in organizational dynamics and how the application of organizational culture theory can be used to effectively manage diversity. Cultural diversity, which includes differences in values, norms, language, and social backgrounds, affects various aspects of the organization such as social interaction, communication, decision-making, and collective performance. In the context of modern organizations that are increasingly multicultural, the theory of organizational culture, especially that developed by Edgar H. Schein, provides a conceptual framework for understanding how artifacts, values adhered to, and basic assumptions shape an organization's collective identity and culture. The application of this theory allows organizations to identify inclusive core values, strengthen cultural socialization mechanisms, and manage conflicts and challenges arising from the cultural diversity of members. This strategy is essential for creating a harmonious, innovative, and adaptive work environment to external changes. With strategic and sustainable cultural management, organizations can increase productivity, competitiveness, and long-term sustainability in the face of a competitive global market. This paper asserts that managing cultural diversity is not only a normative need, but also an important strategy for organizational success. Keywords: cultural, adaptive, and organizational.

Abstract

This study examines how teachers reinterpret teaching ethics in the context of digital literacy-based education, addressing the gaps in previous studies that primarily viewed digital literacy as a technical skill. Using a qualitative phenomenological design, the study involved 80 purposively selected teachers who participated in digital learning practices. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation, then analyzed using thematic coding, with stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results show that digital literacy is understood not only as a technological skill but also as an ethical foundation inherent in teachers' professional judgment. Five main themes emerged: ethical awareness shaped by digital literacy, critical reflection on technology use, the construction of contextual ethical norms, the role of teachers as role models of digital ethics, and the need for institutional strengthening. Challenges faced include limited access to digital resources and a lack of digital ethics training. This study offers a novel theoretical contribution by integrating digital literacy as a contextual variable within the framework of teacher professional ethics, while also providing practical implications for policy development and teacher training in responding to ethical demands in the digital education era.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the application of the Project Based Learning (PJBL) learning model in improving students' critical thinking skills at SD Negeri 15 Ambon. The background of this study is the low critical thinking skills of students as seen from the lack of activeness in expressing opinions, asking questions, and solving problems independently. This study uses a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. The subjects of the study were 25 fourth-grade students of SD Negeri 15 Ambon. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study indicate that the application of the PJBL model can improve students' critical thinking skills through the stages of project planning, implementation, and reflection. Students become more active, creative, and able to analyze and solve problems systematically. Thus, the PJBL model is effectively used in the learning process to foster critical thinking skills of elementary school students.

Abstract

This study aims to identify and analyze the role of guidance and counseling teachers in overcoming students' learning difficulties in physics at SMA Negeri 7 Maluku Tengah. The background of this research is the fact that physics is often perceived as a difficult subject by most students, which negatively affects their academic achievement. This study employs a descriptive qualitative approach, using data collection techniques such as observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The informants in this study include the guidance and counseling teacher (BK), the physics teacher, and students from class XI IPA 2. The findings reveal that the BK teacher plays a central role as a facilitator, motivator, and mediator in addressing students' learning barriers. These learning difficulties are caused by internal factors (lack of motivation, inability to understand formulas) and external factors (teaching methods, unsupportive learning environment). The BK teacher helps students identify the problems they face, build self-confidence, and encourages them to engage actively in the learning process. This study emphasizes the importance of collaboration between the BK teacher, subject teachers, and students in creating a conducive learning environment
