Abstract

This quantitative investigation provides a nuanced examination of product quality’s impact on purchase decisions, with purchase intention as a key behavioural mediator. The study focuses on consumers of Yas Silver in Gianyar, Bali, a culturally rich, tourism-dependent context vital to economic development. Employing a descriptive-associative approach, data were meticulously collected via Likert-scale surveys from 96 respondents, purposively and randomly sampled from an unstated population. The findings revealed statistically significant positive effects: product quality significantly enhances purchase intention and directly drives purchase decisions; purchase intention significantly mediates this relationship. Contributing to international marketing, behavioural economics, and economic development literature, this research empirically substantiates the crucial role of product quality, operating through purchase intention, in shaping consumer behaviour within similar tourism-reliant economies. The findings offer pertinent, behaviourally informed, and strategically actionable marketing insights for international businesses, particularly in artisanal and tourism sectors, seeking to optimise marketing effectiveness and foster sustainable economic growth in global cultural destinations.

Abstract

This study aims to construct an optimal portfolio of stocks listed in the IDX MES BUMN 17 index using the Single Index Model (SIM). Data were obtained from 15 state-owned enterprises selected through purposive sampling for the period from May 2020 to May 2025. The analysis involved calculating actual return, beta, excess return, Excess Return to Beta (ERB) ratio, and cut-off rate (C*). The results indicate that eight stocks—BRIS, ANTM, PGAS, PTBA, JRPT, TINS, ELSA, and IPCC—meet the eligibility criteria for inclusion in the optimal portfolio, as their ERB values exceed the cut-off rate. The constructed portfolio yielded a return of 2.3% and a risk level of 1.61%, outperforming the market return of 0.67% while maintaining a tolerable risk level. These findings suggest that the SIM is an effective method for developing efficient investment strategies in state-owned enterprise stocks.

Macroeconomic factors have a role in influencing stock performance, resulting in stock market fluctuations during the pandemic and post-Covid-19 pandemic. The purpose of this research is to analyze the effect of interest rates, inflation, and GDP growth on stock returns in the raw goods sector in the LQ45 Index for the 2020-2024 period. The population of this study were 117 raw goods sector stocks listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) with a research sample of 8 companies. The results showed that partially, the interest rate and GDP growth variables had a negative and significant effect, while the inflation variable had no effect on stock returns. Simultaneously, interest rates, inflation, and GDP growth affect the stock returns of the raw goods sector. These findings imply that investors need to consider macroeconomic indicators as a whole in making investment decisions.

This test method used to test the hypothesis is multiple linear regression.
