Abstract

Aims: This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the supplementary feeding program for CED pregnant women in the Karawang Kulon Health Center Working Area. Methods:  Pre-experimental research with a design of one group pretest-posttest design, and the statistical test is testing T. Number of samples = 20 respondents, data collection by observation before and after being given biscuits for pregnant women in the Karawang Kulon Health Center area. Results: The upper arm circumference condition in 20 respondents of pregnant women after being given biscuits showed a Chronic Energy Deficiency (CED) value of the upper arm circumference <23.5 by 3 respondents. Meanwhile, the CED value was ≥ 23.5 for 17 respondents. In addition, the Wilcoxon Singed Rank Test results showed an effect of giving biscuits on CED pregnant women (p-value 0.000). Conclusion:  The need for guidance from the government and the surrounding environment regarding the importance of nutritious food to pregnant women so that the baby grows up healthy.

Abstract

Aims: To determine the Effectiveness of Mgso4 Administration against Eclampsia Prevention in severe pre-eclampsia in RSIA Resti Mulya in 2022. Methods:  This study used the Quasy Experimental quantitative method, with a retrospective approach. The relationship between the two variables in this study was tested using the dependent paired t-test data analysis technique. The population of this study was all mothers who were severely eclampsia and received MgSo4 therapy as many as 43 respondents, using a total sampling of which all populations were made respondents. Results:  Frequency distribution of characteristics of respondents aged 30.8 years with a gestational age of 37.6 weeks with an obese Body Mass Index (30-39.5) of 39.5%, having a history of peer disease of 81.4%, and the number of multipara childbirth as much as 69.8%. Differences in the prevention of eclampsia (blood pressure and urine protein) in severe pre-eclampsia before and after administration of MgSo4, namely Sistol values of 163.8 vs 121.4. Diastole pressure value of 105.5 vs 80.4. urine protein 1.52. There is the effectiveness of mgso4 administration against the Prevention of eclampsia in severe pre-eclampsia at RSIA Resti Mulya in 2022 with a p-value value: 0.000. Conclusion:  The results of this study are that the administration of MgSo4 effectively prevents eclampsia in severe pre-eclampsia at RSIA Resti Mulya in 2022. Thus, it is expected to refer to the importance of giving MgSo4 to mothers with pre-eclampsia.

Abstract

Aims: To evaluate the effectiveness of consuming red guava juice on increasing hemoglobin levels in pregnant women. Methods: Quasi-experimental with Pretest Posttest With Control Group Design. The sample in this study were all 38 pregnant women who experienced anaemia from January to March 2022, and the sampling technique was total sampling. Results: The average HB level in the intervention group pretest was 10.24gr%, and the post-test was 12.49gr%. In the control group, the pretest was 10.32gr%, and the post-test was 10.96gr%. There is an effect of consuming red guava juice in increasing haemoglobin levels in pregnant women with a p-value of 0.000. Conclusion: There is effectiveness of consuming red guava juice in increasing hemoglobin levels in pregnant women. It is expected that midwives provide input in efforts to improve health services to pregnant women to advise pregnant women to consume red guava juice to prevent anemia.

Abstract

Aims: Menstrual pain (dysmenorrhea) is pain during menstruation that is usually experienced by young women with complaints of aches or cramps in the lower abdomen and pelvis. Menstrual pain (dysmenorrhea) often begins after the first menstruation. Pain decreases after menstruation, but pain can continue to be experienced during menstrual periods in some women so that it has an impact on daily activities, such as school activities and work. Objective: This study aims to analyze differences in the effectiveness of giving dark chocolate and ginger to reduce the intensity of menstrual pain in female students at SMAN 1 Cikande. Methods: In this study, the researcher used a Quasi Experimental Pre-Posttest with Control Group design. The population in this study were all female students who experienced menstrual pain during menstruation. 28 female students with a sampling technique using the Non-Probability Sampling technique or Non-Random Sampling with the Purposive Sampling method. Result: The results of the study were differences in the intensity of menstrual pain reduction with the non-parametric test, namely Wilcoxon in 14 respondents who were given dark chocolate with a p-value of 0.001 < (0.05) while 14 other respondents who were given ginger a p-value of 0.001 < (0 0.05 Differences in the effectiveness of dark chocolate and ginger based on the Mann Whitney test p-value 0.299 > (0.05). Conclusions and Suggestions: There was no significant difference in the effectiveness of reducing pain intensity in students of SMAN 1 Cikande Serang Regency between those given dark chocolate and ginger for 3 days of treatment. It is hoped that non-pharmacological interventions can be applied to treat menstrual pain.

Abstract

Aims: Infancy or toddlerhood is an important period in the process of human growth and development. Development and growth in infancy or toddlerhood is a determinant of the success of children's growth and development in the next period. The immune system in children under five is still weak and immature, causing toddlers to be very susceptible to ARI. Research Objectives: To determine the effect of baby massage in healing coughs and colds in infants at the Zhafira Zarifa clinic in 2022 Research Methods: The type of research used in this study is quantitative with a cross sectional research design. The population in this study were infants who visited the Zhafira Zarifa Clinic. A total of 234 infants. The sample in this study were infants who visited the Zhafira Zarifa Clinic. A total of 70 infants. Bivariate analysis using chi square test. Results: The description of baby massage at the Zhafira Zarifa clinic was carried out by 35 people (50.0%) and 35 people (50.0%). recovered as many as 37 people (52.9%). Conclusions and Suggestions: It can be concluded that there is an effect of baby massage in healing coughs and colds in infants at the Zhafira Zarifa clinic. It is recommended to parents and the community in order to increase the prevention of the incidence of ARI in infants by doing non-pharmacological baby massage therapy.

Abstract

Aims: Type 2 diabetes mellitus in the elderly is still the highest disease in Indonesia. Caused by the elderly cannot produce insulin in sufficient quantities or more. Glucose levels above 200 gr%. Brown rice and potatoes are staple food sources with a fairly high amount of carbohydrates and have lower glucose levels than white rice. Research Objectives: To determine the effectiveness of consumption of brown rice and potatoes in reducing blood sugar in the elderly with type 2 diabetes mellitus at Pondok Ranji Public Health Center, South Tangerang City. Research Methods: This study used a quasi-experimental with purposive sampling with a sample of 20 people. The data technique is included in the bivariate analysis using the SPSS program statistical calculations. Research Results: Based on the results of the study the average value of brown rice consumption in the elderly with type 2 diabetes mellitus was 64.45, and the average value of potato consumption in the elderly with type 2 diabetes was 47.21, the results of the statistical test p-value 0.02 < 0.05 Conclusions and Suggestions: There is a difference between the consumption of brown rice and potatoes in reducing blood sugar levels in the elderly with type 2 diabetes mellitus, where the results obtained on average are that brown rice is more effective in reducing blood sugar levels compared to potatoes.

Abstract

Aims: Based on data from the Banten Province Health Office (Dinkes), the percentage of exclusive breastfeeding coverage in 2016 was around 55.75% (Profile of Banten Provincial Health Office, 2017). Exclusive breastfeeding coverage in 2014 was 27%, in 2015 it was 40%, in 2016 it was 50%, in 2017 it was 58.72% and in 2018 it was 41.59% (Tangerang District Health Profile, 2018). Objective: Examine the relationship between age, level of education and occupation, attitudes, and self-efficacy towards the practice of exclusive breastfeeding in the work area of ​​Tigaraksa Public Health Center, Tangerang Banten. Methods: This study employs quantitative techniques for associative analysis. Women who were breastfeeding their children between the ages of 6 months and 12 months comprised the study's population. One hundred people were randomly selected to participate in the study's samples. A questionnaire was employed to collect information for the study. Chi-square test was used for statistical analysis. Result: The results of this study show that: (1) breastfeeding mothers' age is related to their rates of exclusive breastfeeding (p = 0.000); (2) mothers' education is related to their rates of exclusive breastfeeding (p = 0.043); (3) mothers' employment status is related to their rates of exclusive breastfeeding (p = 0.000); (4) breastfeeding mothers' income is related to their rates of exclusive breastfeeding (p = 0.000) Conclusions and Suggestions: Mothers' exclusive breastfeeding rates at the Tigaraksa Public Health Center, Tangerang Banten, are related to their ages, levels of education, occupations, breastfeeding attitudes, and breastfeeding self-efficacy. Doctors, nurses, and lactation counselors, among others, should routinely provide support

Abstract

Aims: In normal pregnancies accompanied by nausea, parenteral iron is seen as an attractive option for IDA therapy and is becoming more popular because of newer intravenous iron preparations with better side effects compared to older preparations, which allow high doses of iron to be administered. given rapidly in one treatment. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of Venofer infusion on ferritin levels in pregnant women with iron deficiency anemia at Gatot Soebroto Hospital in 2022. Methods: Quasi experimental research method with to one group pretest posttest design. The instrument uses Standard Operating Procedures for giving Venofer Transfusion. The sample technique used total sampling, a sample of 46 respondents. Univariate analysis showed the distribution of Iron Deficiency Anemia, Bivariate T test analysis. Results: This study found a significant difference from Iron Deficiency Anemia before and after administration of Venofer infusion. Conclusion and Suggestion: So that the administration of Venofer infusion can increase Ferritin levels in pregnant women with iron deficiency anemia. There is a difference in the average increase in Ferritin levels between before and after administration of Venofer infusion.

Abstract

Aims: Pregnant women who suffer from anemia are at risk of miscarriage, premature birth, low birth weight babies, and bleeding before and after delivery. Purpose: It is known the effectiveness of giving beetroot and spinach to increase hemoglobin levels in pregnant women in primary clinics in 2022. Methods: One-group "quasi-experiment" Designing a test with a pre- and post-test. Quasi-experimental studies are a type of experimental research that omits the use of a control group. Result: The average hemoglobin level of pregnant women before consuming beetroot is 10.8 gr / dl and after consuming beets 11.9 gr / dl 200 gr every day for 28 days the average hemoglobin level increases to 12.3 gr / dl. The average hemoglobin level of pregnant women before consuming spinach is 10.2 gr / dl and after consuming spinach every day for 28 days the average hemoglobin level increases to 11.4 gr / dl. With a maximal number of 11.9 gr / dl, the p value >0.05 Conclusion and Advice: Beetroot and spinach consumption is associated with increased hemoglobin levels in pregnant women and offers a safe and healthy alternative to fe tablets for women who may suffer from their uncomfortable side effects, such as nausea, vomiting, constipation, heartburn, and stomach cramps. Pregnant women with anemia are often advised to eat beets or spinach every day so that their hemoglobin levels can rise as quickly as possible.

Abstract

Aims: One of the management of diabetes mellitus type 2 is education. The provision of effective education is supported by the use of media that is attractive and more easily accepted by patients, one of which is using audiovisual media that contains elements of sound and images. Purpose: This study aims to determine the existence of the effect of audiovisual-based educational media on self-management in Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus patients in the working area of UPT Puskesmas Ledeng. Methods: This study is a quantitative study using a Quasi Experimental Two Group Pre-posttest Design where in this study there were an intervention group and a control group with 38 respondents. This research uses purposive sampling. Analysis using Paired Sample T-test and ANCOVA. The questionnaire used in this study was a demographic data questionnaire and Diabetes Self-management Questionnaire (DSMQ). Results: The results of the study on demographic data of respondents 71.1% were female, the average age of respondent was 50.82 years old with a standard deviation (SD) = 6.345, the education level attained by respondents were Primary School 55.3%, 50.0% working as housewife, with a duration of illness 3.21 years, and 60.5% of respondents had received previous information about type 2 diabetes mellitus. The results of the study in the control group a p value =0,586 > 0,05, the intervention group a p value =0,039 < 0,05. There is a significant influence between the audiovisual-based education on self-management of patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus. Conclusion: Nurses can provide audiovisual-based education as a medium of information and approaches in increasing knowledge and self-management behavior so as to avoid complications.
