The mazhabiyah (school of thought differentiation) issue is conceived as the ultimate problem of Muslims, since a life without mazhab, without ideological point, will be chosen as a the central determinant of social unity. For Abdul Wahid Hasyim, the madzhabiyah is important due to its function as a way of mutual understanding and peace building. He made it as a religious stance in the battle for maintaining the nation unity in diversity. This study attempts to portray religious and political contribution of Abdul Wahid Hasyim in upholding the Indonesian Islam and contructing NKRI. His contribution during Dutch colonialism, Japanese occupation, until independence periods had figured out his spirit as santri in the nation building.

Capitalizing The Sacred: Marketing Blessed Water as Religious Theraphy in Krejengan Probolinggo Azharghany, Rojabi

This study considers a question of whether blessings are commodified in the ritual practices of religious therapy associated with the certain religious figures. Buying the Air Berkah (Holy Water) from Habib Hasan Al Muhdor, a religios leader of Majelis Shalawat Ahbabul Musthofa, is a continuous tradition practiced by local Muslims at Widoro Krejengan Probolinggo. By observing this religious (or economic?) therapy, this study attempts to argue that they have been transmitting the material thing, money, into the blessing of the attendant spirit mediums. As they received blessing and magical item from the medium air berkah, they reached for wallets to make donation. This study goes to analyze the ways their stock of knowledge are constructed through ritualized practices of buying air berkah and the ways it reproduced the social structure of Krejengan community associated with their religious belief in the commodified item of blessing. It leads this study to conclusion that religion of the masses requires holy men to satisfy the needs of ordinary men and women, and hence the sacred and charisma are corrupted by the demand for miracles and spectacles through certain mechanism, including religious therapy.

This research will analyze dynamics integration counseling health reproduction as aplikation science and religion in level epistemological, acsiological, and ontologic. Therefore, teori pros cons science and religion, historis of islamic about science, islamic education about science and religion, monotheism and science, modern science and rule dialectics of Hegel and reactualization tradition of ilmiah islamic will be explained for support concept counseling health of reproduction and propaganda through production organic in media practis. Through production organic approach that processed with step pra production, production and have production and distribution to marketing for “capture” audiens until be customers found comprehension that juvenile can be consument fixed industri media practis that can bring positve effect as well as negatif effect to lifestyle one of them keep health of reproduction. Human being is the intelligent animals. With his mind human can determine and consider his choices on his deed. Likewise his conscience, man can guide and control his actions what he will do. In his life men has the good, last, highest. Purpose. That is the happiness. The perfect happiness that human wishes. In fact, human being always did the action that contradicted with his humanity. That is, doing “violence”. For this reason, we arrange this paper to find the illustration; how do the human being do his actions and deeds? and what do become the factors of the happening violence? This article uses many relevant theories, especially, morality and violence theories. Based on the discussion analysis above, it argues that the human deed is the humanity characteristic. It means that human does the action and he/she is responsible to those actions. But if she/he does not want to do the actions, she/he will not be responsible to those actions. The actions that is done arise from a certain motive, including to the happening of violence which is carried by the certain motive. It means that the different motive is based on different kind of violence. Finally, unfunctional mind like as usual, and the blunt of inner feeling cause the arisings of violence.

Historically Islamic Education has formulated two currents of thought which both take different forms either from the aspect of material, educational system, as well as in the institutional form. The two models are 1). models of Islamic education that has traditionalist pattern (easting) which in its development more emphasis on doctrinal-normative tend exclusive-apologetic . 2). Modernist Islamic education model (Western) which then in its development is considered losing its transcendent spirits. The emergence of current thinking on the duality model of Western-style Islamic education can not be denied as a result of the heat of the globalization and information era.Based on this condition, it takes a strong foundation for the study of the implementation of Islamic education in the form of integrative epistemology. Epistemology results logical consequences in the form of eliminating a paradigm of dichotomy between religious and general science, changes patterns of indoctrinated Islamic education into participatory patterns between teacher and pupil, substitutes ideological paradigm into a scientific paradigm which is based on the revelations of Allah, reconstructs secular and free spiritual values curriculum into curriculum based on monotheism, and change the approach from a theoretical or conceptual approach to the contextual approach.

Pengaruh Penerapan Green School Terhadap Minat Belajar Siswa di SMPN 26 Surabaya Rahmah, Ulfatur

This study attempts to describe the implementation of green school program and its effect on the students’ learning motivation in Junior High School 26 Surabaya. This school is chosen since it has carried the program long time ago, and always gets more advanced lavels now rather than other around schools. By using mix research method, the study results in a finding that green school program in SMPN 26 Surabaya is well organized and gets a correlation score, using linear regression analysis, average 0.529 and level of significance 0,000. It means that green school program has positive impact on students’ learning motivation in that school

This study is to explore religious pluralism and pherennial philosophy. Some of conclusions are drawn. Firstly, the pherennial philosophy is a tradition forming intellectual heritage and human spirituality which is originally and directly delivered from the sacred revelation. Secondly, religion is institutionalization of pious experience to God, as the religion is manifestation of an organized pious system. Due to the fact, as an institution, religion continously develops in the certain context and situation. It means that religion could be contextually and situationally different depending on the followers’ personal faith and belief. Thirdly, Indonesia is a unique state with heterogeneous aspects in religion, language, ethnicity, and others, but these different aspects are united in the single ideology of Bhinneka Tunggal Ika firstly coined by Mpu Tantular in Kitab Sutasoma.

Law is, first and foremoest, a discursive discipline: lawyers and judges live in the doain of reasons and meaning. It interprets statutes and cases, articulate rules to guide behavior, and then argue about their import in particular cases. Meanwhile, philosophy is, of course, the discursive discipline par excellence to which English philosopher John Campbell quite perceptively described as ‘thinking in slow motion’, a meaning which seems contraproducive with lawyering as often called as ‘thinking in fast motion’. This article argues that philosophy of law has important role on implementation of law in Indonesia. Given the fact that both (law and philosophy) are, as discursive disciplines, concerned with rational and logical thought, the philosophy inquiry into law simply brings to light and makes explicit what is often implicit and unargued.

Najm al-Din al-Thufi al-Hanbali is a smart, intelligent, productive and brave Islamic Scholars. He was considered as controversial person among his colleagues, because of his views on mashlahah are different from the other scholars of Usul -Fiqh in general. He said that the most important sources of Islamic law are the texts (Al-Quran and Al-Sunnah). It is no problem if both are relevant with mashlahah. However, if they contradict the mashlahah, the solutions that can be taken is prioritizing mashlahah of texts by specification(takhsis), not eliminating texts . At this point Thufi’s thought is considered as controversy. This article will attempt to examine this controversy using argumentative and philosophical approach to be able to point it objectively not tendentiously.

Character or disposition is personality shape which applies into morality value and contains in every person side that based on thinking, attitude, and behavior. A character is formed by intensive effort, step by step continuity, in order to get maximum yield. similarly the nation character, has to effort seriously for their character building. Education is a right medium and strategy for nation character building. Seeing that in education side, students are guided, and taught from mentality, emotional, intellectual, attitude, behavior, speaking etc until they get best personality. Islamic education as part of student character building effort has an urgent and strategic role to get nation character building. In Islamic education, students aren’t studying in Islamic studies only but they are also taught to comprehend fully and apply Islamic value as they know everyday, as individual person or Indonesian Society.
