Abstract

The problem in this research is not maximal performance results performed by the employee in Pangaren Beach Hotel Padang. This study aimed to determine the effect of knowledge management on employee performance Pangaren Beach Hotel in Padang. This type of research is quantitative, using correlational design, with a causal associative approach. The population in this research were 116 employees in Pangaren Beach Hotel Padang. The sampling technique using proportionate stratified random sampling. Thus the number of samples in this study was 90 people. Data were collected using primary and secondary data. For knowledge management is taken by using konsioner closed while performance data is secondary data. Data were analyzed with linear regression hused SPSS version 16. Based on the results of data analysis: (1) Knowledge management karyanwan in Pangaren Beach Hotel Padang, namely 74.77% are in the good category, (2) Karyanwan employee performance in Pangaren Beach Hotel Padang, namely 72.22% are in the good category, (3) Knowledge management  have a significant effect on the performance of employees in Pangaren Beach Hotel Padang, by 17.7%, and 82.3% influenced by other variables that are not discussed in this study.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of work discipline on the performance of employees at the harper mangkubumi hotel in Yogyakarta. This research is a quantitative descriptive study with a causal associative approach. The number of samples in this study were 71 samples. The sampling method is by saturated sampling technique. Data was collected using a questionnaire using a Likert scale. The data analysis technique used in this study is descriptive analysis using simple linear regression analysis. The results of this study indicate that: (1) work discipline is in the good category 53.5%, (2) employee performance is in the good category 52.1%, (3) there is a value of work discipline increasing by 0.346 units with the assumption of permanent work discipline. While the magnitude of the influence of work discipline on the performance of employees in the harper mangkubumi hotel in Yogyakarta is 18% and 82% is influenced by other factors.

Abstract

This research was conducted to understand the benefits of napa soil as main material in geopolymer cement synthesis. Napa soil used obtained from Lintau Tanah Datar district is natural material containing Al2O3 and SiO2 as the main chemical componens which is usually used by thepeople of  West Sumatera as traditional medicine for stomach ache and diarrhea. The characteristics of napa soil based geopolymer cement which are influenced by variation in the concentration of sodium hydroxide ( 10M, 12 M, 14M, 16M ) was observed in this study. The chacateristics of geopolymer cement concists of fineness of cement particle and the lost of ignition. The results of this study indicate that the fineness value of cement particle and the lost of ignition of geopolymer cement complied the indonesian standards of cement   (SNI 2049:2015). The optimum concentration of sodium hydroxide is 16 M. The increasing in the concentration of sodium hydroxide increase the value lost of ignition of geopolymer cement.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the absence of playgrounds available at Malibo Anai Swimming Pool Attractions such as slides that are not available in the Malibo Anai Swimming Pool like other water attraction in West Sumatera. Visitor who come a lot want the Malibo Anai Swimming Pool Attraction to add more complete playgrounds equivalent to the Waterpark like the Fantasy Minang in Padang Panjang. This research is a descriptive study with qualitative data. Data collection techniques are carried out by using interviews, observation, and documentation methods. Determination of informants using Purposive Sampling techniques, namely with two managers, two people around the tourist attraction and two. The results of this study state that: 1) the strength of a tourist attraction Malibo Anai Swimming Pool is an area that is in the hills and close to the water source, and the uniqueness of the Swimming Pool Malibo Anai is a pool that is formed from natural stepping stones. The location is perfect for outbound, camping activities. Flying fox, jogging track, etc. 2) The weakness is the lack of attention from the manager to the security and safety of visitors in the pool 3) Opportunities owned by tourism objects are the increasing number of tourists visiting each year and the vast area of tourism that is quite exetensive can be developed. 4) The threat is the level of education and understanding of tourism objects by incompetent human resources so that tourism objects are not managed well. In addition, the surrounding community demands the management to empower employees from surrounding communities, although some of them have not yet been competent.

Abstract

Penelitian ini berawal dari pengamatan peneliti terhadap Hotel Eden Padang yang masih menggunakan kata ‘hotel’ untuk jasa penginapannya, sementara masalah mengenai standar fasilitas hotel baik fisik maupun jasa ditemukan berdasarkan observasi di hotel tersebut. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui fasilitas di Hotel Eden Padang. Penelitian ini terdiri dari enam indikator fasilitas hotel yaitu: (1) kamar tidur dengan segala perlengkapannya, (2) restoran dengan pendukungnya, (3) fasilitas tambahan (olahraga dan hiburan), (4) ballroom untuk acara tertentu, (5) tempat parkir, dan (6) sarana pendukung lainnya.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the work environment on employee loyalty at Pangeran Beach Hotel Padang. This type of research is classified as associative causal. The population in this study were hotel employees and the number of samples in this study amounted to 106 employees who lived with sampling techniques using probability sampling methods. Data collection techniques were carried out using a questionnaire with a Likert scale that had been tested for validity and reliability. Technical analysis uses the help of the SPSS Computer Program version 16.00. The results showed: (1) The Work Environment was in a very good category (46.22%), (2) Employee Loyalty was in the good category (91.51%) (3) The results of the simple linear regression hypothesis test were obtained F 19,780 with sig . 0,000 <0,05, then the work facility variable can explain the variable of employee satisfaction significantly, with the R Square value of 0,160. This means that work facilities affect the employee's employment by 16% and 84% are influenced by other factors. Based on the results of the research, researchers suggest that more maximizing the work environment in hotels and employees further enhance the work loyalty of Pangeran Beach Hotel Padang.

Abstract

Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui: (1) Tingkat stres dalam bentuk ringan yang dialami guru BK dalam mengahadapi permasalahan peserta didik di SMA Negeri 5 Padang, (2) Tingkat stres dalam bentuk sedang yang dialami guru BK dalam menghadapi permasalahan peserta didik di SMA Negeri 5 Padang, (3) Tingkat stres dalam bentuk berat yang dialami guru BK dalam menghadapi permasalahan peserta didik di SMA Negeri 5 Padang. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah semua guru BK dengan jumlah 8 orang dan semua guru BK dijadikan sampel dalam penelitian ini. Untuk teknik pengambilan sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah teknik totalsampling dimana populasi akan dijadikan sebagai sampel seluruhnya.Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah angket yang terdiri dari 5 alternatif jawaban. Sedangkan untuk analisis data digunakan interval rata-rata dan teknik persentase. Temuan penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Tingkat stres dalam bentuk ringan yang dialami guru BK dalam mengahadapi permasalahan peserta didik di SMA Negeri 5 Padang berada pada kategori sedang.(2) Tingkat stres dalam bentuk sedang yang dialami guru BK dalam menghadapi permasalahan peserta didik di SMA Negeri 5 Padang berada pada kategori sedang dan (3) Tingkat stres dalam bentuk berat yang dialami guru Bimbingan dan Konseling dalam menghadapi permasalahan peserta didik di SMA Negeri 5 Padang berada pada kategori sedang.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the potential of C-SinamalKaliks [4] Resorsinarene (CSKR) as an adsorbent for the absorption of Cr3+ metal ions using optimum conditions parameters which are estimated to affect the Cr3+  absorption process. CSKR is synthesized by reacting cinnamaldehyde with resorcinol through an electrophilic substitution reaction. Cinnamaldehyde was obtained from isolation using cinnamon oil as much as 7.036 grams with a yield of 14.072% from 50 g cinnamon oil and CSKR produced as much as 5.6775 g brownish red. Cinnamaldehyde and CSKR were characterized using FTIR and UV-VIS. The results of the UV-VIS spectrum and FTIR data by the CSKR from isolated cinnamaldehyde showed the same results as pure cinnamaldehyde. The results of CSKR characterization using UV-VIS have absorption at a wavelength of 440 nm with an absorbance of     4.365 A which indicates that there is a double bond conjugated to cinnamaldehyde and CSKR. The results of CSKR characterization using FTIR showed a peak of 3806.68 cm-1 indicating the presence of an O-H group. Furthermore, there is absorption at wave number 1610.56 cm-1 which indicates the presence of C=C groups. At wave number 1448.90 cm-1 shows the aromatic ring. Furthermore, absorption at the fingerprint wave number 692.31 cm-1 - 836.05 cm-1 indicates the presence of (CH2). The CSKR melting point is 358⁰C. Analysis of Cr3+ ions in optimum conditions occurred at pH 4 with optimum contact time of 150 minutes and concentration of 100 ppm. The results of the analysis were validated which included precision testing and accuracy testing. The precision test value (% RSD) of Cr3+ metal ions produced was 1.52% and the test accuracy value (% recovery) was 122.917%. The test results explain that the method carried out fulfills good validation

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of education level on the performance of housekeeping employees at Rocky Plaza Padang Hotel. This type of research is classified into quantitative research with associative causal methods using simple linear regression tests. The population in this study were all housekeeping employees at the Rocky Plaza Padang Hotel, which numbered 30 people. The sample in this study amounted to 30 housekeeping employees at Rocky Plaza Padang Hotel with the sampling technique being saturated samples. Data collection techniques were carried out using a questionnaire (questionnaire) using the Guttman scale which had been tested for validity and reliability. Data were analyzed by simple linear regression test with the help of SPSS version 16.00. The results showed that: 1) Education Level Rocky Plaza Padang housekeeping employees are in the good category (80%), 2) The performance of the housekeeping staff of Rocky Plaza Hotel is in the bad category (80%), 3) Simple linear regression test results significance of 0.208 > 0.05, there is no positive and significant influence between the level of education and the performance of housekeeping employees with a r value of 0.237 with an interpretation of non-significant effects

Abstract

This research is motivated by the small number of hotels in Padang city that use sharia management principles. This study is a descriptive study with a qualitative data approach using the survey method. Data collection techniques are carried out using the method of observation, interviews, and documentation. In this study using Snow-Ball Sampling which involved informants, namely: Human Resources Department, Front Office Supervisor Department and Front Office Staff, Department of Hotel Rangkayo Basa. Data is analyzed in reduction, namely summarizing, selecting and focusing on important things, and analyzing data obtained on the problem under study. The results of this study indicate that: 1) Management in terms of planning aspects has been well structured. Because the management has regulations that are in accordance with the principles of sharia hotel management and makes it in the form of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) which are used as guidelines for employees in working to ensure the implementation of hotel services in accordance with sharia principles. 2) Organizing Organizing employees is good, but the number of staff who work in one day is very little, making the staff have to embrace the work to be a reservation at the same time the receptionist at one time working time. But so far there have been no obstacles that disturb employees while doing their jobs. 3) AffordableFrom the aspect of direction, direction is carried out by supervision who is responsible for Front Office staff in the form of job evaluation and if needed, management will participate in employee direction. 4) Monitoring From the aspect of supervision, the Hotel management always supervises the front office staff by means of direct management down the field in supervising the work of each front office staff so that if an error is made by staff or miss communication with guests, the management will immediately handle it.
