Abstract

Abstrak Klobot jagung dengan kandungan lignoselulosanya menjadi salah satu biomassa yang berpotensi sebagai bahan baku pembuatan bioetanol. Namun sebelum dapat dikonversi menjadi bioetanol, klobot jagung harus melalui proses delignifikasi yaitu penghilangan lignin yang mengikat selulosa agar proses berikutnya yaitu hidrolisis dapat berjalan optimal. Hidrolisis merupakan tahapan berikutnya yaitu proses pemecahan ikatan selulosa agar menjadi molekul gula yang lebih sederhana. Oleh karena itu, tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh perlakuan variasi konsentrasi NaOH dan lama waktu proses delignifikasi terhadap kadar gula reduksi yang dianalisa dari hidrolisat klobot jagung. Metode yang digunakan dalam adalah penelitian eksperimental, dimana variasi konsentrasi NaOH untuk proses delignifikasi adalah 0,5; 0,75; dan 1 M, serta lama waktu proses adalah 1,5; 2; dan 2,5 jam. Klobot jagung yang telah melalui proses delignifikasi kemudian dihidrolisis asam menggunakan HCl 21% pada suhu 1000C. Hidrolisat difiltrasi untuk kemudian ditentukan kadar gula reduksi. Metode Nelson-Somogyi secara spektrofotometri UV-Vis digunakan pada analisa kadar gula reduksi. Hasil optimal analisa kadar gula reduksi klobot jagung yaitu 0,12% dengan menggunakan konsentrasi NaOH 0,5M dan lama waktu delignifikasi 1,5 jam. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian kemudian disimpulkan bahwa proses delignifikasi perlu dioptimalkan lagi karena kadar gula reduksi yang dihasilkan masih sangat rendah karena terbentuknya senyawa furfural pada saat proses hidrolisis asam. Abstract Corn husk with its lignocellulosic content is a potential biomass as a raw material for bioethanol production. However, before it can be converted into bioethanol, corn husks must go through a delignification process, the removal of lignin that binds cellulose so that the next process, namely hydrolysis, can run optimally. Hydrolysis is the next stage, namely the process of breaking the cellulose bonds to become simpler sugar molecules. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to determine the effect of varying the concentration of NaOH and the delignification process time on reducing sugar levels analyzed from corn husk hydrolyzate. The method used in this research is experimental research, where the variations in the concentration of NaOH for the delignification process are 0.5; 0.75; and 1 M, and the processing time is 1.5; 2; and 2.5 hours. Corn husks that had gone through the delignification process were acid hydrolyzed using 21% HCl at 100oC. The hydrolyzate was filtered to determine the reducing sugar content. The Nelson-Somogyi method by UV-Vis spectrophotometry was used in the analysis of reducing sugar levels. The optimal result of the analysis of reducing sugar content of corn husks is 0.12% using a concentration of 0.5M NaOH and delignification time of 1.5 hours. Based on the results of the study, it was concluded that the delignification process needed to be optimized again because the resulting reducing sugar content was still very low due to the formation of furfural compounds during the acid hydrolysis process. Abstract

ABSTRAK Biodiesel adalah bahan bakar mesin diesel yang tesusun dari ester alkil asam lemak. Biodiesel dihasilkan dengan mereaksikan minyak nabati dengan alkohol melalui reaksi trans-esterifikasi berkatalis dengan hasil samping gliserol. Pada penelitian yang dilakukan proses produksi menggunakan reaktor kontinyu (Plug Flow Reactor) yang telah dirancang dimana proses pencampuran dan pengadukan antara bahan baku utama biodiesel dengan katalis berlangsung secara terus-menerus dengan selang waktu dan suhu tertentu.. Di dalam reaktor yang dirancang terdapat baffle atau pengaduk. Pengaduk ini berfungsi untuk memperluas kontak permukaan dan menghasilkan turbulensi yang tinggi sehingga dapat mencegah tube bergetar. Plug Flow Reactor digunakan karena memiliki efisiensi yang tinggi dibandingkan Reactor Alir Tanpa Pengaduk. Untuk menguji alat yang telah dibuat dilakukan penelitian dengan bahan baku minyak biji randu yang direaksikan dengan methanol dan katalis basa (KOH). Minyak biji randu dimanfaatkan sebagai bahan baku karena merupakan minyak non pangan yang memiliki kemampuan untuk dirubah menjadi biodiesel. Variabel yang diberikan adalah suhu reaksi 40oC, 50oC dan 60oC. Karakteristik biodiesel terbaik dari minyak biji randu dihasilkan pada variabel ratio mol methanol terhadap mol minyak 6:1 dengan suhu 600C yaitu: % FAME 95.70 %, berat jenis 0.882gr/ml, dan titik nyala 1360C. Kata kunci : Biodiesel, PFR berbaffle, transesterifikasi ABSTRACT Biodiesel is a fuel for diesel engines consisting of alkyl esters of fatty acids. Biodiesel is made by reacting vegetable oil with alcohol through trans-esterification reaction with a compound katalis esters with glycerol by product. Instudies conducted using a production process of continuous reactors(Plug Flow Reactor) which has been designed in which the process of mixing and stirring among the main biodiesel feed stock with the catalyst takes place continuously with specific time and temperature. Inside the reactor are designed with baffle. Baffle serves to expand the contact surface and obtain high turbulence, so that can prevent the occurrence of vibration on the tube. Plug Flow Reactor has more efficiency than Flow Reactor Without Baffle. To test the tool that was created to do research with kapok seed oil feed stock is reacted with methanol and base catalyst(KOH). Kapok seed oil used by raw material because kapok seed oil as non – food oil is potentially for biodiesel synthesis. Variables given the reaction temperature is40oC, 50oC and 60oC. The best characteristics of kapok seed oil is perduced at variable mol ratio of 6:1methanol to oil mol and amount of catalist 1 % and temperature 600C namely:% FAME 95.70 %, density of 0.882gr/ml, and flash point of 1360. Abstract

Pengendalian waktu yang baik diharapkan dapat membantu pelaksanaan pada suatu kegiatan proyek sesuai dengan waktu yang direncanakan. Salah satunya dengan menggunakan metode analisis nilai hasil. Analisis nilai hasil digunakan dengan tujuan dapat memperkirakan (forecasting) sejauh mana penyelesaian proyek yang dilaksanakan sesuai dengan waktu yang rencana. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana penerapan Earned Value Analysis (EVA) dalam memperkirakan waktu akhir penyelesaikan proyek untuk setiap minggunya. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian in adalah deskriptif dengan durasi pengerjaan proyek selama 15 minggu. Studi ini menghasilkan waktu penyelesaikan proyek lebih cepat dari waktu yang direncanakan. Prakiraan waktu penyelesaikan proyek berdasarkan minggu ke-13 adalah 91 hari (29 November 2019), apabila kita menggunakan perhitungan setiap minggu, prakiraan waktu penyelesaikan proyek berdasarkan perencanaan minggu ke-15 adalah 105 hari (13 Desember 2019). Berdasarkan perbandingan antara nilai ACWS, VAC beserta durasi pekerjaan hingga selesai, maka proyek peningkatan Jalan Kh. Nawawi ini mengalami percepatan 14 hari dari rencana

Abstract

Dewasa ini kebutuhan akan kertas di dunia mencapai ± 349 juta ton per tahun dan kebutuhan kertas di Indonesia mencapai ± 8,9 juta ton per tahun. Bertambahnya kebutuhan akan kertas maka produksi kertas di Indonesia juga harus ditingkatkan. Pra rancang pabrik kertas ini dirancang dengan kapasitas 8.500 ton/tahun di Kabupaten Bondowoso pada tahun 2024, dengan pertimbangan mendekati sumber bahan baku yaitu bambu petung. Bahan baku bambu petung mengandung selulosa yang mana merupakan bahan baku pembuatan pulp. Pabrik ini beroperasi selama 300 hari dalam setahun berdasarkan produksi 24 jam atau satu hari. Metode yang digunakan dalam proses pembuatan kertas dari bambu petung adalah proses organosolvent acetocell, yang terdiri dari beberapa tahan seperti pretreatment, pemasakan untuk menghilangkan kandungan lignin pada bambu petung dengan menambahkan larutan CH3COOH 90% pada suhu 170℃ dengan tekanan 7,6 atm. Selanjutnya pada proses pemutihan dengan bantuan H2O2 2,5% dan NaOH 1,25% pada temperatur 70℃ dan pada tekanan 1 atm, dan tahap post-treatment yang mana membentuk gulungan kertas. Alat proses yang digunakan yaitu Bleaching tank yang berfungsi mereaksikan campuran pulp dengan H2O2 dan NaOH sebagai pemutih kertas sekaligus pemisah lignin dengan kapasitas 3.933,0336 kg/jam. Hasil evaluasi ekonomi Return of Infesment (ROIBT) 97%, (ROIAT) 88%, Pay Out Time sebesar 10,8 bulan, Break Event Point (BEP) 41,08% dan Shut Down Point (SDP) 23%, Internal Rate of Return (IRR) 23,11%.

Abstract

The topographical conditions that are quite dangerous on the Bromo Highway section cause many sharp turns, uphill roads and downhill which are quite dangerous to pass. The lack of adequate road complementary facilities will have an impact on the risk of traffic accidents. The occurrence of traffic accidents in 2016-2021 on the Raya Bromo road section is one of the accidents that caused a lot of property losses and casualties. This study aims to determine how much influence road geometrics have on the level of traffic accidents, so that solutions are obtained to reduce the risk of accidents. Analysis of road geometrics using the 1997 TPGJAK standard, MKJI 1997 and Polynomial Regression Analysis. The results of the analysis using Polynomial Regression of the Horizontal and Vertical Alignment relationship to the EAN value, Side Free Area R² 57%, Finger Finger 27%, Degree of Curvature, 26%, Superelevation 36%, and slope R² 50.04%. Based on the results of the analysis, it is necessary to improve the Horizontal Alignment in existing conditions, namely PI1 (SS), PI2 (SS), PI3 (SS), PI4 (SS), PI5 (SS), PI6 (SS), PI7 (SS), PI8 (SCS), PI9 (SS), PI10 (SS), while for Vertical Alignment by changing the slope at points PIC-PI3 (12%), PII-PI9 (11%), and adding adequate road complementary facilities in accordance with technical specifications.

Abstract

Pasar wae kesambi is one of the traditional markets of the city of labuan bajo which is located on Jalan Batu Cermin, Batu Cermin sub-district, Komodo Kab.Manggarai Barat. Pasar wae kesambi is among the most crowded markets in labuan bajo, because the market is a meeting area between traders and bidders will negotiate trade in goods or services. This market can be said to be a people's market because it only sells the needs of the community. The high side obstacles every hour of this market affect the performance of road traffic and result in a decrease in speed and disruption of road user activities when crossing the Jalan Di Pasar Wae Kesambi Labuan Bajo, West Manggarai Regency. One of the problems that contribute to deepening the traffic situation, is the problem of side interference on road bodies with a lot of traffic flow. The purpose of this study is to understand how the ability of the mirror stone road section, the influence of side obstacles and how solutions to improve the ability of the road section. From the calculation of the study of the Indonesian Road Capacity guidelines obtained very high side obstacles (H) = 40,000 event weight. For the performance of the Jalan Batu Cermin section, it can meet the total traffic volume = 962,25 skr/h. The Jalan Batu Cermin road section is said to experience problems due to side obstacles with a degree of saturation capacity of 0.94 skr/hour.

Abstract

Intersection of Jalan Raya Tlogomas-Jalan Raya Batu Permai, Malang City is an unmanned intersection area that has a very large traffic volume and is passed by various types of transportation. There are often long queues of vehicles at the exit point of Batu Permai highway and vice versa, causing congestion on the highway, besides shops and housing that are too close to the road body. So the author chose the location, namely the Jalan Raya Tlogomas section of Malang City, at this intersection there is often congestion which results in the accumulation of vehicles on certain days or hours, it often results in delays, queues and congestion at intersections without a road at that location. The purpose of this study is to determine the existing conditions and performance at the intersection and get alternative solutions in solving the existing problems. The analysis used during this research is along with carrying out direct monitoring in the field and utilizing the Indonesian Road Capacity Manual (MKJI 1997). Based on the results of the analysis, it was found that the intersection capacity did not meet the requirements of MKJI 1997. With DS exceeding the limit along with Queuing Opportunity (QP) > 100%. The solution to be offered is the installation of traffic signs prohibited parking and right turns to prevent excessive delays on each road section so as to solve the case that occurs at the Tlogomas intersection in Malang City.

Abstract

Ketapang Animal Market is one of the animal markets in Sampang Regency, which causes many people in the area and outside the area to carry out animal buying and selling transactions which results in an increase in the number of visitor vehicles going in and out of the market area at a certain time so that the available parking locations exceed capacity. Parking conditions in the market area are also irregular, indicated by violations, for example 2-wheeled or 4-wheeled vehicles parked on the shoulder of the road do not comply with the rules. Therefore, this analysis was carried out to meet the needs of parking areas in the market area. To find out, this is done by analyzing parking characteristics, the area of ​​parking requirements and side obstacles around the road to find out how high the value of side obstacles is on the shoulder of the road. The discussion results from this research show a high parking turnover rate, namely 6 vehicles/SRP, and a parking index >1, which means the capacity is smaller than required. The evaluation results are based on alternative angles, the 90° angle corresponds to an area of ​​830 m2 for two wheels and 4,015 m2 for four wheels. Side obstacles are categorized as High/T class with a value of 566.3/hour 777.425/hour, but after evaluating the frequency of occurrence The value obtained for side resistance is 457.55/hour, which is included in the medium class.

Abstract

The unsignalized triple intersection of yulius usman- sulawesi road in malang city has a high level of density. Therefore, the amount of traffic passing through this intersection has increased significantly, resulting in high congestion during peak hours due to the presence of Pertamina gas stations and nearby businesses. The purpose of this study was to identify the characteristics, performance, and projection of the intersection for the next five years. This study uses a quantitative research approach, which is a type of descriptive evaluative research with data collection that allows researchers to document actual events that occur, one of which is a traffic volume survey conducted using the average traffic survey method (LHR). The results of the research for one week showed a maximum peak hour volume of 1884 skr/hour, the highest capacity of 2383 skr/hour, and the highest degree of 0.79 resulting in level of service D (Medium) and meeting the required value DJ PKJI 2014, <0.85. Based on the prediction of the intersection performance five years ahead, DJ = 1.18 is greater than > 0.85. This indicates that the level of service is F (very high) which has characteristics of very high traffic density and low volume and experiences congestion for a long time.
