Abstract

Acute Respiratory Infections (ARI) was the first cause of illness among children under five years. One of the factors that because ARI was the cleanliness of the home environment. The study aimed at the relationship between the cleanliness of the home environment and the incidence of Acute Respiratory Infections (ARI) among children under five years. The cross-sectional study design approach was applied in this study. Sixty-six samples were recruited by using the simple random sampling technique. The research instrument used a healthy home assessment form and a medical record of Acute Respiratory Infections (ARI) disease. Data analysis was using the Rho Spearman Test. The results of this study showed that most are classified as healthy houses, as many as 36 respondents (55%), and those who did not experience Acute Respiratory Infections (ARI) was 35 respondents (53.0%). The Spearman Rho test results showed that the value = 0,000 or <? (0,005) meant that there was a correlation between the cleanliness of the home environment and the incidence of ARI in children under five in the Pungging Health Center Pungging District, Mojokerto Regency. If the house were not healthy, the toddler would get sick more easily because an unhealthy house would store a lot of dust. It could trigger Acute Respiratory Infections (ARI), and vice versa, if the home were healthy, then the occupants would also feel comfortable and not susceptible to disease

Abstract

One of the discomforts in pregnancy is back pain and it will increase along with the increasing of gestational age. Pelvic rocking exercises using birth balls can stretch pelvic muscles, manage pain and increase comfort, thereby they can relax the body and increase beta endorphin levels. The study aimed to analyze the differences of pelvic rocking exercises of right-to-left, back-forward and rotating movements using a birth ball against beta-endorphin levels. This study used a quasi-experimental method with a pre-posttest design. The sampling technique used accidental sampling with a total sample of 30 samples. Respondents were divided into 3 groups using a simple random method, group 1 was given the right-to-left pelvic rocking exercises, group 2 was given the back-forward pelvic rocking exercises and group 3 was given the rotating pelvic rocking exercises using a birth ball with duration of 30 minutes for 8 meetings. Analysis using paired tests, one-way test and covariance analysis test with a value: 5%. There was no difference in pelvic rocking exercises of right-to-left, back-forward and rotating movements using the birth ball to ?-endorphin levels. Pelvic rocking exercises of right-to-left, back-forward and rotating movements using a birth ball could not increase beta endorphin levels in pregnant women.

Abstract

The eating disorder was a common problem among two-year children. It causes a problem with growth, decreasing immunity, sleep disorder, less aggressiveness, impulsivity, and stunting. The acupressure therapy points of ST36 (Zusanli), CV12 (Zhongwan), SP3 (Taibai), SP6 (San Yinjio), and ST25 (Tianshu) can increase appetite. It was characterized by the rise of immunoglobulin A and weight gain on a toddler. The study aimed to determine the effect of acupressure therapy on Immunoglobulin A(IgA) and weight gain on a toddler. A quasi-experimental, pre-test, and post-test with a non-equivalent control group was applied in this study. A total of 40 samples were recruited using the consecutive sampling, and allocated into the experimental group was 20 samples as well as 20 samples in the control group. Data analyses used were Paired Sample T-Test, Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test, Independent Sample T-Test, and Mann Whitney Test. Acupressure therapy has a significant impact on the toddler's body weight. However, acupressure therapy does not affect immunoglobulin A. Health care institutions can apply acupressure therapy as an alternative treatment to overcome poor nutrition or malnutrition in children under five years old. The community can use acupressure therapy as a solution to handle cases of difficulty increasing weight on toddlers since the method is easy, safe, and economical

Abstract

The absence of uterine contractions after labor caused problems during the postpartum period, especially in the process of uterine involution. Date palm fruit is a non-pharmacological therapy that contains oxytocin, which is good for postpartum mothers' consumption to maintain uterine contractions so that the involution process can run normally. The study aimed to examine the effect of date palm fruit consumption on uterine involution in postpartum mothers. A quasi-experimental study, pre and posttest with the equivalent control group. We involved 32 respondents and divided into experimental group (n = 16) and control group (n = 16). The results showed that the uterine revolution was faster in the intervention group after receiving the dates palm fruit (Phoenix dactylifera) compared to the control group. This study proves that there is an influence of consumption of dates on uterine involution in postpartum mothers. Further research needs to investigate the effect of the palm fruit on other variables related to uterus involution and expected to measure biomarkers such as prolactin

Abstract

Coronary heart disease (CHD) is a leading cause of death and disability worldwide. This study used a quantitative method with a quasi-experimental design with a pre-post control group study approach. The study was conducted at the Puskesmas in Malang district. The inclusion criteria, such as patients with aged 25-50 years old, be able to operate an Android-based mobile with API 4.0. Data were analyzed using the Non-Parametric Wilcoxon Rank test. There was an increase in respondents in the risk category for mild CHD in the control and treatment groups. There was a significant effect of the application of Android-based ESMED applications on decreasing the total cholesterol and systolic blood pressure. There is still a cholesterol value of respondents at 200 mg/dl in the control group and treatment. The results of the systolic blood pressure among the control group and the treatment group showed that the range of systolic blood pressure from ??140-149 mmHg before and after receiving the intervention. The Android-based ESMED (Early Screening, Monitoring, and Education) application effectively reduces cholesterol and blood pressure in patients at risk for CHD.

Abstract

Diabetic foot ulcers (DFU) are among the most common complications in diabetic patients and are associated with high morbidity, mortality, and health costs. Peripheral neuropathy, peripheral arterial disease, and foot deformity are risk factors for diabetic foot ulcers. Identification of risk factors is needed to improve diabetic foot ulcer prevention strategies. This study aimed to describe the results of the monofilament 10 g test and ankle-brachial index in patients with diabetes mellitus. In this cross-sectional study, a total of 70 patients with diabetes mellitus type 1 and type 2 were included. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling. The results showed 54.3% of respondents had peripheral neuropathy with a monofilament score ? 8. There were 27.1% of respondents with a lower score in ABI ? 0.9 and indicated peripheral arterial disease. The monofilament test with a score of ? 8 was more common in women than in men, ages 56-65 years, and duration of diabetes mellitus for more than ten years. A lower ABI was more common in women than in men, aged 56-65 years, and duration of diabetes mellitus for more than ten years. Peripheral neuropathy and peripheral arterial disease are risk factors for diabetic foot ulcers. Therefore prevention and early screening are needed

Abstract

One of the effective efforts to reduce child mortality is by giving immunization. The study aimed to examine the relationship between attitudes, subjective norms, and perceived behavior control on the intention of basic immunization perceived among babies. A cross-sectional study was applied in this study. One hundred thirty-nine samples were carried out by using simple random sampling. The data analyzed using Logistic Regression with a significance level (? = 0.05). The results showed that attitude (p = 0.000), norms (p = 0.025)and perceived behaviors controls (p = 0.000) have positive correlation with the basic immunization for babies. The mother's intention in giving basic immunization to the baby was influenced by attitudes, subjective norms, and perceived behavior control for giving basic immunization to the babies. Attitudes, subjective norms, and perceived behavior control will form the mother's intention to give basic immunization to the baby. Counseling and espionage will be needed for mothers and families to give basic immunizations to the babies because giving it prevents the occurrence of diseases that can be caused by immunization

Abstract

COPD is currently the number four cause of death in the world but is projected to be the third leading cause of death in 2020. The causes of recurrence are essential to be studiedbut prevention of recurrence is preferred in implementing prevention of recurrence in COPD patients. A systematic review of studies on the prevention of recurrence and the use of technology across the lifespan. The databases, Pubmed, Scopus, Elsevier, scholar, were systematically selected in this study. The authors independently rated the reporting of the qualitative studies included. Thematic synthesis was used to analyze the data. The search identified 330 papers. Eighteen research papers met the study inclusion criteria. The review revealed that self-management is an essential factor in reducing the recurrence of COPD sufferers. Alternative models of pulmonary rehabilitation are needed to improve equitable access and outcomes associated with patients. Telerehabilitation using information technology can achieve an equivalent increase in results compared to traditional pulmonary rehabilitation. It is efficient and cost-effective to rehabilitate; the proposed telerehabilitation model is designed to be applied appropriately into clinical practice. It takes a willingness and ability to carry out the prevention of recurrence of COPD sufferers. Knowledge and mastery of information technology are expected to improve the prevention of recurrence of COPD sufferers
