Abstract

Scientific literacy as a part of the 21st century skill set has a strategic position at the vocational level in preparing graduates who are competent, ready to work, and have skills in communicating and collaboration in work. This study will provide an overview of the role of e-modules which are the most widely developed as teaching materials in improving the student’ scientific literacy skills.. The research method used is a literature review by analyzing 5 most relevant national publication articles using the Google Scholar database. The results of the analysis of 5 articles show that e-modules not only answer the challenges of education in responding to technology, but also proven to play an active role in improving the scientific literacy skills of SMK students including critical and creative thinking skills in order to solve the problem. The e-modules contains aspects of scientific literacy and can be integrated with various learning approach according to the characteristic of vocational student, such as Problem Based Learning (PBL), Socio-Scientific Issues (SSI), Science Technology Engineering Mathematics (STEM) and Problem Based Learning (PBL) by the related occurency in daily life to help student build abilities which support scientific literacy skills.

Abstract

In the development of infrastructure projects with the PPP scheme, the government needs a way to assess the level of success and sustainability of related projects. This study will identify criteria that can be used to assess the success provision of sustainable infrastructure under the PPP scheme in Indonesia. After that, these criteria are arranged in a framework that will be tested against an infrastructure project. Analytic Network Proces (ANP) method is used to determine the ranking of each criterion so that a new development framework can be made and used in Indonesia. In this study, a questionnaire was developed which was distributed to four (4) experts in the field of infrastructure development in Indonesia. The results obtained are the framework for the success of providing sustainable infrastructure with the PPP scheme in Indonesia consists of 6 (six) success criteria with the percentage of involvement, which are Financial and Economy (30,47%), Law and Political (10,63%), Health Safety and Environmental (12,18%), Managerial and Technic (14,58%), Operational and Maintenance (16,70%), and Social and Stakeholder (15,44%). The six (6) success criteria are composed of twenty (20) derived sub-criteria. The PLTU Batang project which was chosen as the object of validation in this study did not meet 6 sub-criteria of the existing 20 sub-criteria. With this development framework, it can be taken into account in making decisions to determine the success of sustainable infrastructure projects with PPP schemes in Indonesia

Abstract

Building Construction is a compulsory subject in the Building Engineering Education Study Program which is expected in this course to have the ability to design systems and infrastructure in the civil engineering field as needed by considering various constraints such as economic, environmental, health, and security constraints. Covid-19 harms life so the world of education also wants to participate in breaking the spread of the Covid-19 virus. The subsidized houses that have been built have met the existing requirements, although they are not perfect, they can still be said to be livable houses. However, a serious problem is that after being given a lot of people added the initial building but did not meet the requirements. This development research produces project-based teaching materials products. This study uses the development of Borg and Gall with the stages of analyzing potential problems, data collection, product design, design validation, design revision, product testing, revision, and reporting. The teaching materials developed contain the characteristics and designs of disaster response houses adapted to the Building Construction course material and are project in nature. The results of the study obtained that the teaching materials developed were suitable for use as teaching materials in the process of learning activities based on the overall average score of the material expert aspect of 3.6 and the media expert 3.6 very good category

Abstract

In 2021 it is estimated that there are 19,836 people at Universitas Jambi Kampus Pinang Masak Mendalo. One of the most important aspects to support activities in Universitas Jambi Kampus Pinang Masak Mendalo is a clean water supply. This study aims to determine clean water needs, to analyse hydraulic factors such as water discharge, flow speed, water pressure, and head loss using EPANET program, and to calculate the budget required to build a water distribution pipeline system. The results of water distribution pipeline network design are clean water needs at Universitas Jambi Kampus Pinang Masak Mendalo as much as 665,910 liters/day or 18.4975 liters/second and at the maximum daily needs as much as 732,500 liters/day or 20.3472 liters/second in the projected year of 2031. Analyses of hydraulic factors in the pipeline distribution system using EPANET program and manual calculation give the same results, but there are some pipe segments that do not fulfill of flow velocity standard, that are on pipe A1 = 0.15 m/s, B1 = 0.08 m/s dan pipa B2 = 0.25 m/s. The cost required to build a clean water distribution pipeline network at the Universitas Jambi Kampus Pinang Masak Mendalo, is amounting Rp238,252,263.00,-
