Abstract

In terms of methods of discovering Islamic law, experts formulated 3 methods, namely: linguistic interpretation methods, kaukasi methods and theological methods. The mention of the method of discovery of the first type of law as bayani reasoning means that the discussion is more focused on text, in this case the text is Arabic. This method is a method of legal discovery by interpreting or interpreting existing Islamic legal texts, namely the Quran and hadith. Urgency of sharia is based on the understanding of the verses (verses) of the law in the Qur'an and hadith, the process of decomposition, deepening, and formulation of the law based on a collection of sources from the Qur'an and Hadith. Clear Lafaz is a clear explanation its designation of the intended meaning without requiring an outside explanation. Lafaz, whose meaning is clear, there are 2 opinions, the first is the opinion of the jumhur ulama or mutakallimun, explaining that the meaning of Lafaz is divided into three levels, namely Nash, Zahir and Mujmal. While other opinions, namely opinions from the Hanafi. Lafaz which is clear according to hanafiyah there are 4 kinds, namely: zahir, nash, mufassar and muhkam

Abstract

The phenomena of Islamic Defence Action (ABI) has been raising two argumentations: Firstly, the strengthening of religious conservatism. Secondly, ABI is better organized by conservative group and Muslim middle class such as Muslim student activist. One of the agenda is propagating ABI’s ideas at various regions in Indonesia which used to campaign a slogan “It’s time for Muslims resurgence”, such as in Solo, Aceh, Medan, Yogyakarta, Palembang and other areas. This article argues that ABI at Islamic student activists becomes plasticity as a religious discourse but instability as a common identity to shape a new Islamic social movement agenda in Pontianak. This research focuses on how to understand the forms of engagement and resistance to ABI in context of strengthening pluralism and religious tolerance in Pontianak.

Abstract

The finding result of Alfred Binnet dan Theodore Simon (1905) about IQ (Intelligence Quotient) is perceived by many people as a determined factor of an individual success in various life sectors. Therefore, the emphasizing on academic activities in schools including elementary schools is based on intellect/IQ and hard skills over soft skills. However, IQ and / or intellect approach has not succeeded yet in improving a student’s learning achievement in academic performance results, hard skills, moreover soft skills. This research is aimed to understand deeply on the importance and the need of soft skills development in schools especially elementary school. The study employs qualitative research method with multiple case study design, in which a meaning making activity is underlined as the first objective of interpretive research in understanding social phenomena of education activities. The phenomena of soft skillsoccurs in real-life events andcurrent situation, as well as programs and activities. In this qualitative research method the researcher conducted three main activities such as in-depth interview, observation and to get relevant data collection in order to enrich and complete the previous obtained data. Based on findings, it is known substantively that students’ soft skills will not be developed if the instructional management focuses on academic. Besides, soft skills will enhance significantly students’ academic results, because soft skills will enable and improve students’ potentials to reach the best learning achievement. In Islamic perspective, the quality of soft skills within akhlak-adab domain will be more better if soft skills’ development are referred to a sound heart (qolbun salim). Finally, it is shown in formal finding that the instructional management of students’ soft skills is a must and it is importance to be implemented in education particularly in elementary school.

Abstract

This paper seeks to highlight the similarities and differences of science, Islam, and the philosophy of science. The discussion of this paper begins with the assignment of definitions of these three topics. The next discussion is the concept of the three such as the three components of science and the four requirements or rules of science; teachings and objectives of Islam; and the two tasks, objects, and benefits of the philosophy of science. The relation between science and philosophy of science is evidenced from the structure of objectivity, the subjectivity of scientists, and the efforts of control or judgment. The relationship between religion and philosophy of science can be seen from the dominance of morality in the ideal imagination as a standard of product, attitude, and activity. Another proof of the relationship between Islam and the philosophy of science is the variant of Islamic epistemology in the form of bayānī, burhānī, and 'irfānī. The relationship between science and religion of Islam is reflected in the appreciation of al-Qur'ān and al-Ḥadīth which is responded by the presence of religious educational institutions primordially.

Abstract

Movement of thought always influences the human condition both positive and negative influences. The emergence of a belief stream begins with a movement that seeks to reconstruct, purify, innovate against conventional and normative teachings in a religion. One of the schools of Islam is Syi'ah. This research is library research, which is descriptive, analytical and comparative. The data analysis used is deductive and descriptive normative. The factor of the differences in Syi'ah's character in Indonesia is not because of the Indonesian culture. However, Syiah level of understanding of the doctrine of the Imamate gave birth to a different typology. The Indonesian cultural factors only color the skin, not to change the view of faith. The difference between the understanding of Shi'a and Sunni, according to him, the trigger of conflict and mutual infidelity is to forgive, cannot be united until the end. If the Sunni forgives Syi'ah, clearly the opposite will happen, one way that must be taken is mutual tolerance. The rationale for the Shiites is to practice it because of the reason they hold to a strong proposition. The view of the Syi'ah towards his understanding is the same as that of the Sunnah expert on his understanding.

When the dynamics of ethnicity move smoothly, religion and culture are used as materials to identify oneself and other groups; as the same or different groups. This article intends to look at how the identity of the Bakumpai people in South Barito, Central Kalimantan, and how the flower of Islam is included in the construction of the group's identity. Data obtained from field research on the Bakumpai people in Buntok, South Barito, Central Kalimantan, through interviews with a number of sources and field observations. This study concludes that elements of Islam and culture are important ingredients in maintaining Bakumpai's identity. Islam and culture make Bakumpai different from the Dayak (Ngaju) and Banjar people. Islam differentiates the Bakumpai people from the Dayak people - especially the Ngaju, while culture and language are used to identify similarities between them. On the other hand, religion makes the Bakumpai people have the same identity with the Banjar people. Culture and language makes their identity different.
