Abstract

Optimism is a cognitive construct that relate to individual efforts to get their goals. In the education context, optimism is positively correlated with performance and academic achievement. Optimistic individuals show good motivation and successfull completed their education on time. The study is aimed to understand academic optimism of student. Good understanding on it will be a usefull information to the university. This study uses quantitative method with N 441. The first study involved n 113 and the last n 328 respondents. Data analysis using descriptive analysis with the JASP application. Psychometric property analysis is performed using CFA (Confirmatory Factor Analysis) and reliability analysis uses Cronbach Alpha. The results showed that the psychometrics property of the AOS (Academic Optimism Scale) was quite reliable with a reliability value of 0.891. Items loading factor above 0.30 while the total varian expalined 35%. Meanwhile, the descriptive analysis suggested academic optimism at Bosowa University students on the moderate level, which was 63% and only around 21% at a high level while the remaining 16% was in the low category. It means that students' academic optimism still needs to be improved through various approaches.

Abstract

Pekotaan merupakan salah satu bagian program dari Sombere Smart City yang hadir untuk masalah Kota Makassar yang merupakan salah satu kota Metropolitan. Penelitian tersebut untuk mengetahui bagaimana penerapan dan efektifnya kebijakan atau program tersebut diantara keberadaan masalah sosial dan ketentraman aktivitas kota selama ini. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian kualitatif yang mengambil lokasi penelitian di Kota Makasar. Data yang diperoleh dalam penelitian ini berasal dari berbagai literatur dan juga sumber wawancara yang dipilih berdasarkan purposive snowball sampling. Kehadiran CCTV Perkotaan sejak tahun 2016 dengan harapan yang lebih baik untuk Kota. Berdasarkan hasil penelitan yang dilakukan oleh penulis ditemukan bahwa selama penerapan program tersebut, tidak adanya strategi yang jelas yang menguntungkan berbagai pihak yang berkaitan. Kebijakan yang hadir ditengah keberadaan program hanya menguntungkan bagi pihak pemerintah untuk pemenuhan alat dari program tersebut. Kehadiran progam E-tilang dari pihak lain yang memanfaatkan keberadaan CCTV Kota ini nyatanya juga tidak berjalan baik akibat kurangnya keterbukaan hingga koordinasi yang baik. Hal inilah yang kemudian memberikan dampak tambahan terhadap tidak efektinya pelaksanaan program ini dengan pemenuhuan kebutuhan lingkungan tidak tercapai hingga apa yang diperlukan oleh pihak-pihak lain tidak sesuai dengan yang diharapkan. Maka untuk meningkatkan manfaat dari keberadaan penerapan CCTV Kota tersebut, sangat penting regulasi yang jelas (memihak untuk semua orang) dan implementator harus memiliki pemahaman yang sama untuk fokus terhadap apa yang melatarbelakangi dan apa yang menjadi harapan keberadaan program CCTV Perkotaan.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the value of egg production and egg weight of chicken using turmeric flour (Curcuma domestica Val) at different levels. This study uses a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 4 levels of treatment and 3 replications namely P0 = control, P1 = addition of turmeric flour 0.2%, P2 = addition of turmeric flour 0.3%, P3 = addition of turmeric flour 0.4% . The results showed that the addition of turmeric flour as a supplementary feed, had a very significant effect (P <0.01) on the value of egg production. The average value of egg production highest to lowest is P3 (87.99%), P2 is (87.1%), P1 is (85.33%) and P0 is (80.22%). As for the weight parameters of chicken eggs the results of the study showed that the addition of turmeric flour as a supplementary feed, had no significant effect (P <0.05) on the value of egg weight. The highest average egg weight values are P3 (65 gr), P2 (63.73 gr), P1 (63.63 gr), and P0 (63.53 gr) From the results of the study it can be seen that the best concentration is found in the P3 treatment by adding turmeric flour as much as 0.4%.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of motivation (X) on the performance (Y) of employees of RSUD Andi Makkasau in the city of Parepare and to determine the indicators (physiological, job security, social, reward, self-actualization) of motivation (X) has a dominant effect on performance (Y) staff of Andi Makkasau Hospital in Parepare City. The research method used descriptive analysis and multiple linear regression analysis with a total of 60 respondents. The test results show that simultaneously Motivation (X) affects performance (Y) based on the coefficient of determination (R) and R square results. Partially, the indicators of needs that have the most dominant influence on performance (Y) are physiological (X1), followed by social (X3), appreciation (X4) then self-actualization (X5) and finally job security (X2)

Abstract

Senyawa kompleks ligan dari thiosemicarbazone dapat digunakan sebagai antimikroba. Senyawa kompleks Cu (II) L-Thiosemicarbazone disintesis dengan mereaksikan Ligan tiosemikarbazon, karbon disulfida dan ion logam Cu (II) menggunakan metode in situ. Karakterisasi dilakukan dengan menggunakan alat bantu titik leleh, spektrofotometer UV-Vis, spektrofotometer IR dan konduktometri. Hasil sintesis menghasilkan Cu (II) LThiosemicarbazone sebesar 1.1621 gram dengan titik leleh 30,65% dan 268-2700C. Uji kompleks antimikroba Cu (II) L-Thiosemicarbazone menunjukkan hasil yang efektif sebagai antimikroba.

Abstract

Drip irrigation application is an irrigation system using a drip hose, which aims to make water use effective. Drip irrigation is not a new technology, but has long been developed especially on agricultural land that lacks water resources. Insufficient water sources on agricultural land, so farmers must rely on pumping systems from the nearest water source. With a direct pumping system will increase production costs. For one-time irrigation directly using pumping, farmers need at least 12 liters of fuel oil / day / ha. In other words, farmers must incur additional costs for irrigation purposes. Whereas for the time brackets of horticultural plants, it takes approximately three months for the plants to produce. If farmers have to irrigate land 3 to 4 times per month, farmers need 36 liters of fuel oil per month / ha. Assuming the price of premium fuel oil is Rp 6,650 / liter, then the farmer must at least pay an additional fee of Rp. 239,400 / month / ha. Therefore, the application of "RO DRIP" drip irrigation on dry land is expected to be able to reduce production costs for farmers. Application of drip irrigation is expected to be able to maximize the use of water so that farmers' production activities are more effective and efficient. Drip irrigation is very easy to apply because the materials and equipment used are very simple and easy to obtain. The advantages of this irrigation system are that the use of water will be controlled, the watering schedule can be arranged, the water needs for each plant can be met, and the provision of fertilizer can be directly through the reservoir. So that this irrigation system can simplify and save production costs for farmers.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the typology and level of slums of urban slums in Fitu Urban Village, South Ternate District, Ternate City, North Maluku Province. The research method used is the weighting and qounten analysis through qualitative and quantitative approaches both primary data and secondary data which are further described in the form of sentences in accordance with the subject matter studied. The results of the analysis show that the typology of urban slum areas Fitu Urban Village, South Ternate District, Ternate City, North Maluku Province is slum areas located in areas prone to natural disasters (volcanoes) and is categorized as heavy slums which requires comprehensive and sustainable handling and control

Abstract

The construction of the Posi Dam has an impact on air pollution. This study aims to determine the impact of dam construction on decreasing air quality and increasing noise due to material transportation activities. This research was conducted in the Selayar Archipelago District of South Sulawesi Province and sample testing for air quality and noise data was conducted at the Center for Occupational Safety and Health Development (BBPK3) Makassar. Forecasting methods used are mathematical calculations (modeling), expert judgment (professional judgment) and other methods carried out scientifically (scenarios, analogies and literature studies of similar activities) then converted to Environmental Quality Scale (SKL). The intended environmental quality scales are grouped in 5 categories: very good (scale 5), good (scale 4), moderate (scale 3), bad (scale 2), and very bad (scale 1) categories. The results of the study showed that the construction of the Posi Dam from the transport of building materials caused an increase in the particle content (TSP) in the air reaching 5.62 µg.m3 and noise ranged from 90 dB (A) - 100 dB (A) or an average of about 95 dB (A) the value of the parameter exceeds the quality standard based on Governor Regulation No. 69 of 2010, concerning Quality Standards and Criteria for Environmental Damage.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of periphyton substrate density on the growth, survival, and production of tilapia saline (Oreochromis niloticus) biomass. This research was conducted for one month from January to February 2019 in the Soppeng Riaja District, Barru Regency, South Sulawesi Province. The containers used were 12 units of hapa-installed ponds (1x1m2). Periphyton substrate uses bamboo stems 8 cm in diameter and 1.2 m long. Then bamboo stems were stuck in each treatment except control. The design used was a completely randomized design (CRD) with 4 treatments and 3 replications. The results showed that the best weight growth was obtained in treatment D (72.2 grams / fish), C 42.5 grams / fish), B (28.3 grams / fish) and A (22.3 grams / fish), and growth the best length was obtained in treatments D (12.2cm), C (8.1cm), B (5.4cm) and A (4.4cm). Whereas the best survival rate was obtained in treatments D (96%), C (92%), B (88%) and A (84%), and the best saline tilapia biomass was obtained in treatment D (1.73 kg / m2), C (0.98 kg / m2), B (0.62 kg / m2) and A (0.47 kg / m2). Be concluded that different substrate densities affect the growth, survival, and biomass production of saline tilapia.
