Abstract

This study delves into integrating data analytics applications within Management Information Systems (MIS), exploring their impact on decision-making processes in organizational settings. The discussion synthesizes qualitative and quantitative methodologies, presenting insights from scholarly literature, surveys, and interviews. Scholarly discourse highlights the transformative potential of data analytics tools in facilitating informed decision-making, aligning with practical applications showcased in empirical studies. However, inherent challenges surface, primarily concerning data quality, as revealed by 62\% of respondents, underscoring the need for organizations to address these obstacles. Despite challenges, substantial adoption rates of data analytics tools (78\%) affirm their growing recognition in decision-making within diverse industries. Reported enhancements in operational efficiency (35\%) and competitive advantage (22\%) among organizations leveraging data analytics validate their efficacy in driving organizational performance metrics within MIS. Further research should address ethical implications, longitudinal analyses of data analytics efficacy, and interdisciplinary collaborations exploring the nexus between data analytics and managerial decision-making. This study is a foundational step, providing empirical evidence and future research trajectories essential for organizations aiming to optimize decision-making through data analytics applications within Management Information Systems.

Abstract

This study investigates the impact of profitability, audit quality, the composition of independent board commissioners, managerial ownership, and institutional ownership on earnings management. The population for this research comprises all manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI) between 2019 and 2021. It adopts a correlational research design with naquantitative approach. Data collection involves secondary data obtained through purposive sampling. The sample size consists of 32 companies, resulting in 96 observations. The study employs various analytical techniques, including classic assumption tests such as normality, heteroscedasticity, multicollinearity, and autocorrelation tests. Hypothesis testing is conducted using multiple regression analysis with SPSS version 26. Findings reveal that managerial ownership negatively influences earnings management, exhibiting a significant result of 0.036. Conversely, profitability, audit quality, the composition of the independent board of commissioners, and institutional ownership do not significantly affect earnings management, as their significance results exceed 0.05.

Abstract

This paper presents a structural framework to enhance time management profi- ciency within dynamic work environments. The framework integrates prioritization techniques, task scheduling methods, delegation strategies, and technology utilization to optimize time allocation and productivity. The evaluation demonstrates significant improvements in time management efficiency and client satisfaction across various professional contexts.  For instance, by employing the eisenhower Matrix and Pareto Principle, project managers achieved a 20% im- provement in project completion times. The framework’s adaptability is further highlighted by a 25% reduction in project turnaround time in a marketing agency and a 30% increase in project visibility in a startup. These findings underscore the framework’s practical implementation as a holistic approach to managing time effectively and achieving long-term success. Continuous refinement, real- time feedback integration, and exploring the impact of emerging technologies are recommended for further enhancing the framework’s effectiveness. This research contributes valuable insights for organizations aiming to navigate the complexities of modern work environments.

Abstract

In today's rapidly evolving business landscape, efficiency is a critical aspect for organizations aiming to remain competitive and sustainable. This research explores the important roles of management and monitoring in achieving organizational goals while prioritizing sustainable practices. Effective management serves as a primary driver in formulating, implementing, and overseeing initiatives to enhance efficiency while also reducing negative impacts on the environment and society. Strong monitoring enables organizations to assess the effectiveness of sustainable initiatives, identify areas needing improvement, and track progress toward established goals. Through systematic data collection and analysis, monitoring facilitates informed decision-making, thereby enhancing the organization's ability to align actions with its sustainability objectives. The research findings indicate that effective decision-making, accurate performance measurement, good strategic planning, and strong monitoring mechanisms significantly influence organizational productivity and the achievement of company goals. By reinforcing management practices and monitoring mechanisms, organizations can optimize operational efficiency and achieve strategic goals sustainably.

Abstract

In the era of technological disruption, scientific publication management faces the challenge of adapting to innovation and increasing efficiency. This research examines the transformation of scientific publication management using the Par- tial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) method via Smart- PLS. The main variables analyzed include Technology Adaptation (AT), Editorial Process Flexibility (FPE), Digital Platform Integration (IPD), Management Efficiency (EM), and Publication Innovation (IP). Data was collected from an online survey filled out by journal managers, editors, and researchers and in- depth interviews with experts in scientific publications. The results of the Smart- PLS analysis show that Technology Adaptation (AT) has a significant influence on Management Efficiency (EM) and Publication Innovation (IP). Editorial Pro- cess Flexibility (FPE) also increases Publication Innovation (IP). Meanwhile, Digital Platform Integration (IPD) has been proven to strengthen the relationship between technology adaptation (AT) and management efficiency (EM). These findings demonstrate the importance of adaptation to new technologies, flexi- bility in editorial processes, and integration of digital platforms in increasing efficiency and innovation in scientific publication management. This research makes an essential contribution to the scientific publication management liter- ature by integrating the SmartPLS approach. These findings can help journal managers, editors, and researchers formulate effective strategies to face chal- lenges in the era of disruption.

Abstract

This study aims to ascertain how repurchase intention is impacted by product quality, viral marketing, and customer experience. The study population con- sists of customers who have made repeat purchases. A purposive sampling tech- nique is employed, yielding a sample size of 254 individuals and collecting data on customers with recurring transactions. Utilizing SmartPLS, the data analysis method involves a structural equation model. The findings of the study demon strate that the three independent variables customer experience, viral marketing, and product quality significantly influence the dependent variable, repurchase intention. Implementing viral marketing strategies to launch products has suc- cessfully attracted repeat business from customers. Additionally, the experience of consuming the product and the quality of the product itself can also trigger consumers to make repeat purchases. These results underscore the importance of marketing strategies that focus on product quality and customer experience, as well as the effectiveness of viral marketing in enhancing customer loyalty through increased repurchase intentions.

Abstract

This study delves into the relationship between leadership styles and employee engagement within the service sector. Employing a qualitative approach, the research involved in-depth interviews with 50 respondents from diverse service organizations. The findings underscore that transformational leadership, emphasizing inspiration and individual development, significantly impacts employee engagement. Transactional leadership, which centers on rewards and punishments, also influences engagement, albeit to a lesser degree. Conversely, laissez-faire leadership, characterized by minimal intervention and full autonomy for employees, exhibits the weakest impact. These findings emphasize the significance of deploying suitable leadership styles to bolster employee engagement and performance in service-oriented industries. The study offers practical insights for managers seeking to cultivate effective leadership strategies, thereby nurturing supportive and motivating work environments conducive to enhancing overall organizational performance. By comprehending the ramifications of different leadership approaches, managers can better steer their organizations toward success in industries reliant on human interaction. Thus, this research not only enriches the academic discourse on leadership and employee engagement but also furnishes pragmatic guidance for practitioners in the service industry to tailor leadership practices according to their organizational dynamics, fostering sustainable growth and success.
