Abstract

With the current waste of rice husk, one way to convert energy-rich agricultural waste into an easy-to-use form by combining it into briquette fuel. Briquette fuel is defined as fuel produced from organic materials. In order for the rice husk to be used to speed up the process of becoming rice husk briquettes in rice husk briquette testing, 5 (five) tests of rice husk briquettes were tested. From the results obtained by rice husk briquettes with tapioca flour adhesive has been successfully made with a mold pressure of 2 Kg / Cm2, while the briquette diameter is 100 mm with a height of 5.cm and 8. cm. The results of testing the rice husk briquette heat value obtained were 5 cm rice husk briquettes of 32,221 cal and 8 cm rice husk briquettes of 32,130 cal, briquette burning rate of 5 cm was 0.054 g / sec and for 8.cm briquettes of 0.071 g / sec, The type of Briquette 5 cm is 0.898 g / cm3 and for briquettes 8.cm is 1.052 g / cm3.

Abstract

Cassava is a type of tuber that is very much found in the Jambi region. Cassava is easily damaged and decayed in a period of about two to five days after harvest, if it does not get good post-harvest treatment. It is necessary to process cassava crops into chips. To get the results of cassava chips that are good, there is a machine that can produce homogeneous chopped results. Besides that, it is expected that the cassava chopper machine can produce chopped with several forms of chopping. This study aims to make the design of multi-blade cassava chopper machines so that three types of chopping shapes can be produced with only one machine. Based on the results of the study, cassava chopper machines were produced with dimensions of length 630 mm wide by 390 mm and height of 450 mm. This machine uses a straight round multi-blade dish, waves and sticks. The capacity of this machine is 54 kg / hour and the power used is 185 watts.

Abstract

his robot is designed to move beams correspond to the given instructions. It is made of wireless controlling devices. They are aimed to control any robot’s movements, and robots by themselves can work and move beams. These control devices are installed used both signal frequency with the appropriate control distance and wireless capability connected through microcontrollers. Users in this case can comprehensively alter the way robot works through this provided controlling devices

Abstract

PT. Agrindo Indah Perkasa located in the new mining village of Meranginyang Regency produces CPO so far in controlling the supply of its main raw material, namely FFB, which only receives from farmers around because PT. AIP does not yet have its own garden. So that the efficiency of ordering costs and storage costs for raw materials are not optimal. This research was conducted to find out the raw material inventory control system applied by the company, the efficiency of inventory control of raw materials obtained, the analysis of Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) and the extent to which the Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) method can streamline the cost of controlling raw material inventories. is a descriptive method and method of verification method. Based on the results of the study using the Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) method, the number of orders that are economical is 303 tons / month, with the order frequency of 14 times / month. The point of re-ordering was done when the supply of fuel was 1357 tons. The total cost of inventory using company calculations of Rp. 66,300,000, while using the Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) method the company only issues a total inventory cost of Rp. 26,346,428. Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of temperature and duration of pressing the Hot Press Tool on the quality of the mold for areca nut material. The method used is taking betel nut samples to be tested with temperature variations and length of pressing time. From this method, it is expected to have a significant effect on the results of the Hot Press Tool, because of the change in the properties of the material from the areca nut to temperature changes. The results showed that the temperature value had a significant effect on the press product with an optimum value of 120 0C, while the pressing time did not have enough effect on the quality of the mold. Of course this result is very instrumental in making automatic Hot Press Tools specifically used in products from areca nut.

Abstract

This research was conducted to identify how influential the duration and anode-cathode distance to the corrotion rate produced in the anodizing process so that it can be used to consider the effectiveness of an anodizing process. This research has been used regular anodizing techniques commonly used for decorative purposes. The method has been used is to vary the anodizing duration (2, 4, and 6 minutes) and anode-cathode distance ( 18, 20, and 22 cm) and apllied the weight loss method to calculated corrotion rate value. The result is that the highest corrotion rate is obtained at 4 minutes anodizing duration and 18 cm anode-cathode distance by 663,7 mm/year, while the lowest corrotion rate is found in 3 exsperiments, at 2 minutes anodizing duration for 20 cm and 22 cm anode-cathode distance, and at 4 minutes anodizing duration for 22 cm anode-cathode distance by 442,5 mm/year.

Abstract

Currently on the production floor of PT. WKS has equipment that is not used in the work area, the work area is not well organized, and discipline regarding hygiene is very lacking resulting in the work process running poorly. Based on these conditions, it can be assessed that awareness of maintaining a work area is very minimal. One of the activities that companies can do to make improvements in the work area is by applying the 5S method. The 5S method is a basic approach in regulating the work environment, which essentially tries to eliminate waste so that an effective work environment is created. Based on the results of the 5S method audit can be given an improvement proposal to create a safe and comfortable work area. Based on the results of research and discussion, the implementation of the 5S method in the PT Wirakarya Sakti District II Company in the warehouse section of the Fire Control Regu can be summarized as follows: Seiri (concise), the application at this stage has not been implemented properly, because there are still irregular classifications of goods and there are still items that are not in accordance with the place. Seiton (neat), the application at this stage has not been implemented properly, because the placement of goods that are still difficult and slow in taking and returning goods and at each item placement there is no line boundary. Seiso (resik), the application at this stage has not been implemented properly, because places that are rarely noticed by people are still dirty and the cleaning tools that are needed by PIC warehouses are incomplete. Abstract

Almost all level education have beeb introduced early on as one of the subjects. One of school that has been using a computer or laptop as a medium of learning is a school SLB. Prof. Dr. Sri Soedewi. SLB. Prof. Dr. Sri Soedewi is an extraordinary school of elementary, junior and senior high school students, from all the disorders of blind, deaf, physically disabeld, mentally disabled and Autism. In this study the rspondens werw people with cerebral palsy mixed. That is, people with cerebral palsy accompanied by other symptoms of disease, the person is in a wheelchair, can not do mobility (sitting and standing) without the help of others (in a wheelchair). In the learning process the condition of people with cerebral palsy should be considered. And the facilities provided must be in accordance with the condition of cerebral palsy. Ergonomic portable laptop desk design can be obtained by anthropometry approach in accordance with posture of students of cerebral palsy SLB. Prof. Dr. Sri Soedewi, thus providing comfort, safety and pain relief by using an ergonomic portable laptop desk.

Abstract

Snack foods have become an integral part of people's lives. Food snacks arevery many kinds and vary widely in the form of necessities and prices. Fried is afrying process using cooking oil. Cooking oil is very closely for our health.Repeated oils can lead to degradation even in health hazards. With anappreciation of health factors, there are often complaints in PT.Baasithu clientabout oil content in processed fried foods. Given this question has actually founda solution that is by using a spinner. Small industries will not be able to reachprices that are not in accordance with the amount of production.The purpose of this design is to create an ergonomic spinner capable ofreach by small industries. The design of this tool using anthropometry theory toproduce the size of the tool in accordance with the size of the employees of PT.Baasithu. Phase completion of anthropometry data conducted on employees, bodydimensions required are: 1. Reach far, 2. Wide grip. The data will be processedwith data adequacy test, uniformity test, and percentile calculation, then do thedesign process of spinner. This ergonomic oil slicer uses a centrifugal force todrain oil. The way the processed food of fried food will be rotated in the slicer sothat the oil will be sliced and out through the hole in the slicer.

Abstract

Suatusi stem penyedia tenaga listrik mempunyai fungsi membangkit kan, menyalurkan dan menyediakan tenaga listrik dengan mutu yang diinginkan. Banyak faktor yang pengaruhi kinerja suatu engine antara lain nilai kalor bahan bakar, pola pemeliharaan engine live time, material engine, temperature ambient dan keandalan alat bantu engine. Sebagai bagian dari system penyedia tenaga listrik, Turbin uap  PLTU Muaro Jambi pengoperasiannya di harapkan pada kondisi kerja yang optimal. Efisien sitermal Turbin Uap adalah indeks keseluruhan kinerja turbin uap terhadap energi input dari bahan bakar yang menjadi energy panas. Analisa pengaruh beban turbin untuk mengetahui efesiensi thermal turbin uap dari siklus pembangkit tenaga uap. Terutama beban siang ( 6 MW) dan malam ( 11 MW).  Dari data penelitian dan perhitungan pertama di dapat Laju aliran massa fluida kerja pada turbin pada beban 6 MW. rata – rata sebesar 7.111 kg/jam dan pada turbin pada beban 11 MW. rata – rata sebesar 11.856 kg/jam, Kedua didapat Laju heat transfer, Qin kedalam fluida kerja yang melalui boiler (MW) pada beban 6WM rata – rata sebesar 19.432.728 Kj/jam ( 19,4 MW/jam)  danpadabeban 11WM rata – rata sebesar 32.585.100 Kj/jam ( 32,5 MW/jam), Ketiga didapat Laju heat transfer, Qout dari konden sasi uap melalui kondensor pada beban 6WM rata – rata sebesar 13.415.571 Kj/jam ( 13,4 MW/jam)  dan pada beban 11WM rata – rata sebesar 21.627.150 Kj/jam ( 21,6 MW/jam). Efisien sitermal yang didapat pada beban listrik  6 MW sebesar 31% dan pada bebanListrik 11 MW sebesar 33 % .Jadi pembebanan saat malam lebih besar efesiensinya.
