Abstract

With the rapid growth of mobile payment transactions in Indonesia, it is imperative to understand the factors influencing user acceptance to optimize product development and marketing strategies. This study seeks to examine these factors through the lens of the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology 2 (UTAUT2) framework, specifically investigating the effects of effort expectancy (EE), performance expectancy (PE), social influence (SI), hedonic motivation (HM), compatibility (Comp), and innovation (Innv) on behavioral intention (BI). This study employs a quantitative methodology with purposive sampling, gathering data through online surveys from residents of Indonesia, resulting in a sample of 325 respondents who have utilized mobile payment systems. Data analysis employed Partial Least Squares (PLS) using SmartPLS software. The results indicate that EE significantly influences BI, while PE, SI, and HM do not. Additionally, Comp and Innv were found to positively impact PE, EE, and BI. A noteworthy finding is that Comp significantly influences BI, with EE acting as a mediator.

Abstract

In the last few decades, sustainability issues have received increasing attention among stakeholders in their business operations. Although many studies have examined the influence of ESG on the financial performance of companies in various regions, specific research that focuses on companies in ASEAN is still limited. Studies that directly link each Pillar Score and ESG Combine Score with ROA are still rare. This research offers a new contribution by providing a comprehensive analysis of the influence of each ESG pillar and ESG Combine Score on ROA in the ASEAN region. This research aims to analyze the influence of the Environmental Pillar Score, Social Pillar Score, Governance Pillar Score, and ESG Combined Score on ROA in ASEAN public companies 2013-2023. The research uses a quantitative approach with multiple linear regression analysis to evaluate the relationship between ESG scores and ROA. The research results show that each Pillar Score and ESG Combine Score have a significant positive effect on ROA. The research results provide the implication that companies need to increase their focus on sustainable practices to improve financial performance. Investors can use it as a reference for considering ESG scores in investment decisions. This research cannot be generalized to different regions or periods and is limited to several public companies and the research time range 2013-2023. External factors such as government policies and macroeconomic conditions can also influence research results.

Abstract

During the rise of Covid-19 pandemic, airline industry has been impacted negatively. In Indonesia, international passengers’ number has been drastically reduced as the impact of the social limitations by the government and border closure between countries. But as the time goes on, numbers of vaccination found to be effective to eliminate the pandemic. With the reduced spread of the virus, number of international flights in Indonesia slowly rise to the numbers pre-pandemic. “Revenge Travel” phenomenon has been accredited as the main source of the rise of international flights number, with passengers took their “delayed” holiday during the pandemic afterwards. Those rise in passenger numbers has become a challenge for airlines and airports, as the services has not been returning to the situation before the pandemic. Those challenges really impacted airlines service quality and passengers’ satisfaction with their repurchase intention of buying another plane ticket with the same airline. This situation is studied in this study with the method of collecting primary data between January to May of 2024 and analysing it via PLS-SEM (Partial Least Squares-Structural Equation Model) method with the Smart-PLS application.

Abstract

Working in startups has its own dynamics, as it emphasizes flexibility and freedom for employees to complete their work. This study aims to understand the drivers of job happiness for startup employees by looking into their job autonomy, work-life balance, and social support. To obtain the data, we distributed questionnaires through online platforms to 165 startup employees in Bandung and Jakarta who participated as the respondents of this study. The data is then analyzed using multiple linear regression with SPSS 26 software. The findings indicate that job autonomy, work-life balance, and social support partially and simultaneously lead to the job happiness of startup employees. These results suggest that fostering a supportive and balanced work environment with a high degree of autonomy can significantly enhance employee well-being in startups. Organizations can leverage these insights to create targeted HR strategies that promote happiness and, in turn, improve employee retention and productivity.

Abstract

For the company to progress and develop, in addition to improving its production process, the company must always pay attention to the distribution of the products produced. The company must choose and determine which method to use. The transportation method used will affect the price of the product sold to consumers. This study aims to determine the transportation or distribution model of the OSAD rice milling factory in Bandung Regency. The company makes total shipments from three rice milling factory warehouses to several marketing destinations, namely: Bandung, Bandung Regency, Cimahi, and Bandung Regency. West Bandung, then used three types of transportation methods, namely the North West Corner Method (NWCR}, the Least Cost Method, and the third is Vogel's Approximation Method (VAM). The results of the three methods are then compared with the shipping costs usually carried out by the company, namely shipping with costs that always change depending on the bargaining with the shipping service. The results of this study are, using NWCR: Rp. 2,900,000, using Least Cost: Rp. 2,530,000, while using VAM: Rp. 2,520,000. so the cheapest shipping cost from the three factories is using Vogel's Approximation Method (VAM). The results of the three methods are cheaper when compared to the shipping that the company usually does before using the three methods, which ranges from Rp. 3,000,000 to Rp. 4,000,000
