Nurses in the emergency room have direct contact with patients. This contact can potentially lead to the risk of nosocomial infections or Healthcare-acquired Infections (HAIs). One of the efforts to avoid this infection is through using personal protective equipment (PPE). The attitude of nurses can influence the use of PPE when giving nursing care to patients. This is in line with the theory of attitude which says that individual attitudes are the beginning of the realization of individual actions or behavior. This study was aimed at finding out emergency department nurses’ attitude in using personal protective equipment. The research design used was descriptive quantitative. 50 nurses were selected as samples using total sampling technique. In collecting the data, the instrument used was attitude questionnaire which had been modified into attitude component classifications such as cognitive, affective, and conative. The research instrument was tested for validity of 0.5431-0.6754 with r table 0.4438, and the results of the Cronbach reliability test were 0.805. Univariate data analysis is presented in the results of frequency distribution in the form of a percentage. This study showed 26 respondents (52%) had negative attitudes from the affective and conative components (responses from nurses who neglected the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) to prevent work accidents. While positive attitudes were in the cognitive component, 31 respondents (62% ). This study concludes that emergency department nurses’ attitude towards the use of PPE was negative based on affective and conative components but they responded positive attitude on cognitive component. The policy concerning on the use of PPE for the nurses need to be increasingly supervised as an effort to keep safety and health for both patients and nurses.

Emergency departments nurses are prone to burnout because they are dealing with emotional patients and families, and the number of visits is more than the number of nurses on duty. The purpose of this study was to identify the relationship between burnout levels and perceptions of caring for nurses in the emergency departments. The research design used a descriptive correlational. The research instrument used 2 questionnaires, namely the Maslach Burnout Inventory-Health Service Survey, to measure the level of burnout (low, medium, and high) and the Caring Behavior Inventory-24 to measure perceptions of caring (good and poor). The study population consisted of nurses in the Emergency Departments in Dr. Hasan Sadikin Bandung Hospital with a sample size using a total sampling technique of 50 nurses. Univariate analysis for each variable is presented with a frequency distribution table and bivariate analysis using the Rank Spearman test. The results showed that nurses’ burnout level was in a low category (60%), and the perception of nurses caring was in a good category (64%). The relationship test results obtained a negative correlation (p-value = 0.000; r = -0.607), which means that the higher the burnout level, the lower the caring perception that is owned. The study concludes that most nurses have a low level of burnout and a good perception of caring. Hospitals are advised to maintain or eliminate low burnout by carrying out a sharing program between nurses or counseling and maintaining good caring by conducting caring simulation training.

Indonesia ranks third highest in Southeast Asia after Timor Leste and India which have stunting problems with a prevalence of 27.67%. In West Java, especially in Pangandaran Regency in 2018, the prevalence of stunting was 1.2%. Increasing maternal knowledge about stunting can reduce the incidence of stunting. This study aims to identify a description of the knowledge of mothers with toddlers about stunting in Kalipucang Village, Pangandaran Regency. The population of this study was 346 mothers of children under five in Kalipucang Village, Pangandaran Regency. The sample used was 186 samples with accidental sampling technique. The instrument used has been tested for validity and reliability and obtained r count > r table (n = 0.632) and cronbach’s alpha value of 0.896. The results of the study were analyzed by univariate analysis and then grouped into groups of respondents with good knowledge and poor knowledge. Based on data analysis, the results showed that more than half of mothers with toddlers in Kalipucang Village, Pangandaran Regency had a low level of knowledge, as many as 95 (51.1%) respondents. The high incidence of cases of Hypertension in Pregnancy (HDK) increases the risk of maternal and perinatal complications, even maternal death. Complementary therapy can be done to help control blood pressure (TD), murottal therapy is one of the therapies that is conceptually believed to provide a relaxing effect that can help control TD. Murottal therapy can be done only by listening to the chanting of the verse (version A), only the translation (B), or the verse accompanied by the translation (C). These types of differences are as far as researchers know that no one has done the research. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of murottal therapy on changes in BP of pregnant women with hypertension. Quasi-experimental research design with a pretest-posttest group approach. Obtained 27 respondents with inclusion criteria namely Muslims, TD ≥ 140/90 mmHg, and willing to be respondents. The analysis showed that there were differences in systolic and diastolic BP in groups 1, 2, and 3 before and after murottal therapy versions A, B, C, and there were no significant differences between systolic and diastolic BP between the three groups. In conclusion, the three types of murottal therapy performed to have the same effect in reducing systolic and diastolic BP. This shows that any type of murottal therapy has a significant impact in reducing blood pressure. Researchers recommend the application of murottal therapy in HDK patients as an alternative effort to reduce BP.
