Abstract

This research analyzes the dynamics of individual financial behavior and the factors that influence it through bibliometric methods using VOSviewer software. Bibliometrics is a mathematical method to identify academic publications related to quotations and scientific matters and intended for use in libraries. VOSviewer is used to build a network map that depicts the relationships between keywords and identifies clusters or groups of keywords that frequently appear together. This research provides insight into research trends and effective strategies for increasing financial literacy and financial inclusion. Bibliographic data was collected from academic literature related to finance during the 2014-2024 period. The results of the analysis show that financial literacy, financial behavior, and adoption of financial technology (fintech) are topics that are often discussed in the literature; financial literacy has a strong relationship with financial decision-making, leading to better saving and investment habits and reduced debt; financial behavior mostly written in the article from the US in 2015 and highest citation in 2019 from the UK. Recommendations for future research include the use of qualitative methods, longitudinal studies, and evaluation of the impact of formal and informal financial education.

Abstract

This study focuses on poverty, an issue that affects every country, including developing ones like Indonesia. The primary objective is to investigate the impact of village funds (dana desa) on poverty in Central Java. Regional economic growth (PDRB) and the success of human development (IPM) are included in the research to provide a more balanced assessment. The research employs a data panel analysis with data from 29 districts over five periods (2016-2020). The findings reveal that poverty is influenced by village funds, showing a negative relationship. PDRB has a positive association with poverty, while IPM does not affect poverty levels. This study enhances our understanding of the connections between poverty, village funds, PDRB, and IPM at the provincial level. The implications of this research underscore the need for more precise policies in allocating village funds and a stronger focus on regional economic growth to alleviate poverty.

Abstract

The enhancement of service quality by adding new features is considered one of the critical determinants of the growing use of e-commerce platforms today. The availability of various payment options, including installment facilities, not only facilitates transactions but also increases the potential for debt-related behavior. This phenomenon is intriguing and essential to investigate, as poorly managed debt behavior can negatively affect an individual's financial condition and stability. This study aims to analyze the influence of money attitudes on debt behavior among e-commerce users. The research involved 169 respondents aged 17 and older who had used installment payment methods more than twice in the past month. Data were collected using the money attitude and debt behavior scales and analyzed using IBM SPSS Statistics version 25. The results indicate that money attitude significantly influences debt behavior, contributing 28%. Additionally, debt behavior was more prevalent among women and Generation Z. This research provides valuable insights for designing financial education strategies and more prudent payment policies within e-commerce, particularly for groups more vulnerable to excessive debt.
