Abstract

Wadaw Moring is a micro business sells Moring (Cimol Kering), a Sundanese snack made of starch. Since COVID-19, Wadaw Moring sales have not improved due to the company's weak value proposition. Therefore, this research was designed to find out what innovation opportunities can be carried out by Wadaw Moring as a value proposition. This research uses descriptive qualitative research methods with data collection techniques, including studying competitor publication documents and interviews using purposive sampling techniques. The research results show value proposition innovation for Wadaw Moring is applied as a popular West Java snack, that can be improved by combining local culture with contemporary art, using standardized procedures, and maintaining high spiciness levels. Packaging should be eye-catching, pricing should range between IDR 96.4 and IDR 100 per gram, stablish strategic partnerships with local stores, optimize online sales through discounts, and utilize advertising campaigns.

Abstract

Contract Farming is considered to be able to increase farmers' yields and income. In addition, another factor that influences is socio-demographic factors, so this research contributes as a reference in coffee farmers' decision-making in choosing adaptation strategies. This research also supports the long-term sustainability of farming to address climate change by supporting the thirteenth Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) related to climate change mitigation by increasing effective planning and management capacities related to climate change, especially in the agricultural sector in Indonesia. This research was conducted in August 2022 in Pasuruan and Malang, East Java Province. Respondents were determined by Multistage Random Sample Procedure with a total of 100 coffee farmers. From the interview data of 100 coffee farmers in East Java, it was found that the majority of farmers had an understanding of climate change from three indicators: changes in rainfall, temperature, and length of the rainy season. The analysis results showed that Contract Farming influenced farmers' decision to adapt to climate change. In addition, socio-demographic factors that influenced the decision to adapt were the age of the farmer, but its effect was negative, meaning that the younger the age of the farmer, the higher the chance of implementing adaptation strategies. The findings indicate that both Contract Farming and socio-demographic factors are crucial in shaping the adaptation strategies of coffee farmers in response to climate change. This research highlights the importance of promoting Contract Farming as a means to enhance farmers' resilience to climate impacts.

Abstract

The underutilization of land in young oil palm plantations presents a major challenge to both productivity and sustainability in tropical agriculture. This article explores upland rice intercropping as a promising strategy to optimize land use during the immature phase of oil palm cultivation. This study performs a qualitative literature analysis to examine the economic and ecological aspects of upland rice intercropping within oil palm plantations. The research consolidates findings from more than 80 peer-reviewed articles and institutional reports, chosen for their topic significance and regional diversity. Intercropping provides revenue diversification and enhances food security. It enhances soil fertility, biodiversity, and climate resistance. Nonetheless, implementation is constrained by knowledge deficiencies and policy limitations. This review emphasizes key elements affecting adoption and underlines the practice's role in sustainable land management in tropical areas.

Abstract

Digital transformation in the agricultural sector has become an essential driver of agribusiness supply chain improvement, particularly in regions facing structural productivity challenges such as West Java. This study specifically aims to examine how agricultural technology adoption, e-commerce utilization, and process efficiency influence agribusiness supply chain performance, while explicitly identifying the extent to which digital-based practices strengthen operational integration among agribusiness actors. Unlike previous studies that focus only on one or two aspects of digitalization, this research offers novelty by simultaneously analyzing three key digital transformation dimensions and empirically testing their combined contribution to agribusiness supply chain performance in a developing-country context. Using a quantitative survey approach involving 120 agribusiness respondents selected through purposive sampling, the study employs multiple linear regression to validate the proposed model. The findings show that technology adoption significantly enhances productivity and accuracy in land and resource management; e-commerce utilization expands market reach and improves transaction efficiency; and process efficiency accelerates product flow within the supply chain. All classical assumption tests confirm the model’s validity and reliability. This research contributes new empirical evidence on how integrated digital transformation initiatives strengthen agribusiness supply chain performance, offering practical insights for policymakers, agro-entrepreneurs, and digital agriculture developers.
