In: Herlinda S et al. (Eds.), Prosiding Seminar Nasional Lahan Suboptimal ke-8 Tahun 2020, Palembang  20 Oktober 2020. pp. xx.  Palembang: Penerbit & Percetakan Universitas Sriwijaya (UNSRI).The cultivation of vegetable crops is very much practiced by farmers both in the highlands and in the lowlands. In the cultivation of vegetables, pests and diseases cannot be separated. Pests that attack cucumber plants can be detrimental both in quality and quantity. The purpose of this study was to determine the insect pests that attack cucumber plants. Observations were made by comparing 2 cucumber fields. The comparison of the 2 fields was then carried out using the t test method. The results of observations on cucumber plants in the field were 4 species of insect pests that attack cucumber plants. Insects that attack cucumber plants consist of Diaphania sp., Aulacophora similis, Bemisia tabaci and Liriomyza sp.. The population of insect pests was found only 3 species based on visual observation and the intensity of pest attacks on cucumber plants was found to be 4 species of insect pests that attack these plants. In the t test results on insect populations, the species of Bemisia tabaci were significantly different in land 1 and land 2, while Diaphania sp. And A. Similis is not real different. The intensity of insect pests of Diaphania sp., Aulacophora similis and Liriomyza sp. Unreal different. However, the intensity of the Bemisia Tabaci attack was significantly different. The intensity of insect pests attack on land 1 was 44.76%, while on land 2 was 42.97%. Cultivation of cucumber with technical culture affects insect pests and the intensity of pest attacks.

(Eds.), Prosiding Seminar Nasional Lahan Suboptimal ke-8 Tahun 2020, Palembang 20 Oktober 2020. pp. xx. Palembang: Penerbit & Percetakan Universitas Sriwijaya (UNSRI).Land cultivated for agriculture has different levels of fertility. Proper soil management is an important factor in determining the growth and yield of plants to be cultivated. The purpose of this study is to identify the rice field fertility variables, conduct an evaluation, and study alternative management according to the soil fertility status. The assessment was carried out in January - March 2020, sampling was carried out in Tebing Kaning Village and soil analysis was carried out at the Bengkulu AIAT Testing Laboratory. The methodology used includes: preparation, implementation of soil sampling, laboratory analysis, and preparation of applicable technology recommendations. In practice, individual soil sampling is used as a composite soil sample, 1 composite soil sample consisting of 10-15 individual soil samples. The number of composite soil samples taken were 10 composite soil samples. Soil analysis data were assessed as CEC, C-Organic, Base Saturation, P-total, K-total, and pH H2O. Based on the results of the analysis, the rice fields of Tebing Kaning Village are divided into 2 fertility classes. Block I, III, and IV with 3 dividers (K-total, CEC, and KB), and Block II with 4 boundaries (C-Organic, K-total, CEC, and KB). The alternative management that needs to be done is to return the straw to the paddy fields in blocks I, III, and IV and the addition of organic matter in block II.

To identify the ground air pollution, the geoelectric method of research using Wenner was carried out. This research was conducted in 4 tracks with a length of 200 meters and the distance between the electrodes was 10 meters with 4 times the electrode spacing. The results of this study are 2D subsurface models in the form of apparent resistivity from the inversion results. The resistivity value generated in the 2D model ranges from 0.381-19 Ωm. The water content at the research location with a very small resistance value between 0.4-1.25 Ωm. The presence of groundwater is estimated to be trapped in the alluvium layer at a depth of 7.75-19.4 meters. The groundwater is thought to have been polluted because it has a resistivity value <10 Ωm. Almost every measurement path is found in polluted air due to rainfall and sea water intrusion.

Inventory of predatory arthropods in controlling Spodoptera Frugiperda (Lepidoptera: Noctuidae) insects in maize crops (Zea mays). In: Herlinda S et al. (Eds.), Prosiding Seminar Nasional Lahan Suboptimal ke-9 Tahun 2021, Palembang  20 Oktober 2021. pp. 329-337. Palembang: Penerbit & Percetakan Universitas Sriwijaya (UNSRI).Maize is a plant that contains high carbohydrates and is one of the staple foods after rice. At the beginning of 2019, corn farmers in Indonesia had to face a new problem, namely the reduction of maize yields due to the attack of the Spodoptera frugiperda pest. S. frugiperda attack cause economic losses. In this case, proper control is needed so that these pests will not cause massive losses. One of them is controlled by using predatory arthropods. For this reason, it is necessary to carry out an inventory of predatory arthropods in corn plantations. This paper aimed to identified predatory arthropod species to controlled S. frugiperda pests in maize plantations. The methodology was carried out by literature review of journals and related articles. The predator found in the maize crop were from the Formicidae family. The species found were Camponatus sp, Camponatus sericeus, Pheidole sp, Oecophylla langinoda, Branchyponnera sennaarenis, megaponera sp, Pheidole megachepala. Other arthropods spesies found were Chrysoperla externa, Ceraeochrysa cubana, Pheidole megacephala (Hymenoptera: Formicidae), Haematochares obscuripennis, and Peprius nodulipes (Hemiptera: Reduviidae). Thus, the amount of spesies have been found were 3 species of predatory arthropods from the order Neuroptera, 1 species from the order Mantodea, 3 species from the order Dermaptera, 10 species from the order Hymenoptera, 3 species from the order Coleoptera, 1 species from the order Hemiptera, 1 species from the order Diptera and 2 species have been found. of the order Araneae.

Abstract

Malik D, Rahmawati NO, Puspitasari O, Aprilensia D, Annisa P, Yonarta D. 2021. Application of the budikdamber system to probiotic feed in strengthening food security in the Covid-19 era. In: Herlinda S et al. (Eds), Prosiding Seminar Nasional Lahan Suboptimal ke-9 Tahun 2021, Palembang 20 Oktober 2021. pp. 476-481. Palembang: Penerbit & Percetakan Universitas Sriwijaya (UNSRI).Human needs for animal protein are increasing, but the availability of fish farming land is getting narrower. Fish farming also requires feed other than land, but fish feed is getting more expensive. Steps need to be taken to reduce feed costs and creativity for alternative cultivation areas, as well as apply appropriate techniques to meet animal needs in the Covid-19 era. This paper was to develop a bucket fish farming system on probiotic feed to increase food production in the community. The writing of this scientific paper uses a qualitative descriptive method. Descriptive method is a method used to create a sequential description of the relationship between the phenomenon under investigation and the results that are not expressed in numbers. Catfish rearing in 80 L bucket media for 30 days resulted in catfish SR 41–70%, fish harvest was 2440 g (71.76 g/head), and mustard harvest produced as much as 30 bunches. However, these results are not appropriate and it is still necessary to optimize the cultivation container in order to avoid death due to predators and fish that come out of the rearing container. The catfish cultivation system can be a potential solution for fish cultivation, especially in narrow areas and aquaponic vegetable growing media such as mustard greens as additional community food in the Covid-19 era.

The glukomanan in Porang plant (Amorphophallus konjac. Koch) was potential on many aspects such of nutrition, included of fungsional food, additive food and also it’s derivate. To prepare the plant material for propagation need the qualified and similar in bulbils size of Porang plant. The aim of the research was find out the response growth of various bulbil weight size.  The experiment was organized by completely random designed. The units experiment where each type of bulbil were grown with 3 replications. Each unit experiment consisted of 24 bulbils. The treatments were average weight size of each bulbils, that were A. 9,69 g/bulbil, B. 10,74 g/bulbil, dan C. 12,98 g/bulbil.The ANOVA test was applied to all data. The result showed that differences in bulbils average weight size significantly affected the germination percentage and the shoot height of porang plants, but not significantly affected the rate of germination and also the sum of shoot  leaflets. The best results for all parameter were given by bulbils derived from 10,74 g/bulbil on average weight size of bulbils and no significant with 9,69 g/bulbil, thats were responsed in high germination percentage (58% to 86%) for 4 weeks seedling bed and also in shoots height (32 cm to 42,8cm) of 4 weeks polibag nursery with leaftlets amount in range of 7,7 to 10,7 sheets/plant. As the conclusion of the weigth size of bulbils was that light weight size resulted high germination percentage and also shoot height of Porang plant. Dormancy was affected of weight size of bulbils, that was indicated in low germination response of heavy one of bulbils.
