Abstract

Andini A, Cahya A, Ningsih AO, Iqbal M, Sugiarti S, Fitrani M.  2021. Intensive system fish farming waste conversion to biogas household scale. In: Herlinda S et al. (Eds.), Prosiding Seminar Nasional Lahan Suboptimal ke-9 Tahun 2021, Palembang  20 Oktober 2021. pp. 400-410.  Palembang: Penerbit & Percetakan Universitas Sriwijaya (UNSRI).Intensive system fish farming with high protein artificial feeding in a limited scope produces waste that can negatively impact if it is directly discharged to the waters. This study aimed to examine whether intensive fish farming waste can be converted into biogas, especially on a household scale, as an alternative in processing aquaculture waste. The method used by the researcher in the literature review method is due to the Covid-19 pandemic situation, which limits researchers from taking data. The results of the literature study state that aquaculture waste has the potential for methanogenic bacteria as the main component of biogas with an anaerobic decomposition process. The content of nitrogen (N2) and hydrogen sulfide (H2S) in aquaculture waste is also an additional component in biogas production. Household-scale biogas production was formed on day 4‒30 which consists of several processes such as hydrolysis, acetogenesis, acetogenesis, and methanogenesis. Biogas production results from fish farming waste can also be used as organic fertilizer for plants or agricultural land. Therefore, converting fish farming waste into biogas can be done as an effort to treat aquaculture waste. Suggestions from this research are necessary to re-examine directly in producing biogas to obtain more relevant data.

Abstract

Hasdevi H.  2021. The crime of forest and land burning conducted by corporations to start a plantation business. In: Herlinda S et al. (Eds.), Prosiding Seminar Nasional Lahan Suboptimal ke-9 Tahun 2021, Palembang. 20 Oktober 2021. pp. 628-639. Palembang: Penerbit & Percetakan Universitas Sriwijaya (UNSRI).Corporations starting new arable land by burning forests is the easiest and cheapest way to do. If there occurs a forest fire as the result of plantation clearing, it can  cause environmental damage, disruption of public health, educational activities, economy, and transportation. The purpose of this study was to find out the effects of the prevailing laws and regulations on forest burning behavior conducted by corporations in opening new arable land. The method used in this study was normative juridical, descriptive analytical, using the Legislation approach. To live and have a good and healthy living environment is the right of the community, as stated in the Article 28 h paragraph (1) of the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia. In addition, the perpetrators of the crime of forest burning are regulated in: the Law Number 41 of 1999 in conjunction with the Law Number 19 of 2004 concerning forestry, The Law Number 32 of 2009 concerning Environmental Protection and Management, The Law No. 39 of 2014 concerning Plantations, The Criminal Code and Supreme Court Regulation Number 13 of 2016, apparently have not been able to provide a deterrent effect for perpetrators of corporate crimes to burn forests and land. In addition, the application of selective slashing law still often occurs in the Indonesian legal community. The perpetrators of corporate crimes repeatedly burning forests should be carried out through a criminal law approach, civil law in the form of compensation in totality and administrative law in the form of revocation of business licenses. The application of the law that is not selective should be a guide in enforcing the laws and regulations.

Misbah M, Aulia JP, Maharani M, Widhiastuti E, Putri VMW, Ardila S, Tanbiyaskur T. 2021. Potency of lemongrass stem extract (Cymbopogon citratus) for Fish Treatment from Edwarsiella tarda bakteri bacteria. In: Herlinda S et al. (Eds.), Prosiding Seminar Nasional Lahan Suboptimal ke-9 Tahun 2021, Palembang  20 Oktober 2021. pp. 782-787. Palembang: Penerbit & Percetakan Universitas Sriwijaya (UNSRI).  The high demand for fishery products has resulted in cultivators implementing intensive and even super intensive cultivation systems. The intensification of fish farming is characterized by an increase in stocking density followed by an increase in the use of artificial feed which has the potential to become waste and cause disease. To overcome this, alternative actions that are safer and also effective for controlling fish diseases are needed. One alternative is to use herbal plants that are anti-bacterial. By using herbal plants, it will be safer, easier to obtain and also not pose a danger to the surrounding environment. This study aimed to determine the effectiveness of lemongrass stem extract to treat bacterial disease in fish caused by Edwarsiella tarda. Some research results showed that Cymbopogon citratus extract is rich in benefits in herbal medicine. Cymbopogon citratus extract had antibacterial properties that could inhibit the growth of pathogenic bacteria in fish. Phytochemical test results, lemongrass extract contained secondary metabolites such as alkaloids, steroids, terpenoids, phenolics or tannins or flavonoids and saponins. Based on the results of in vitro tests on lemongrass stem extract, it was able to inhibit the growth of Edwarsiella tarda bacteria where the inhibition zone formed after the media was incubated for 24 hours with a size of 21 mm. This proved that lemongrass stem extract can inhibit the growth of Edwarsiella tarda bacteria based on the results of the inhibition test.

Abstract

Yolanda SM, Lifianthi L, Malini H.  2021. Analysis of marketing efficiency of palm oil farmer in Sidomulyo village, Kumbang Water district, Banyuasin regency. In: Herlinda S et al. (Eds.), Prosiding Seminar Nasional Lahan Suboptimalke-9 Tahun 2021, Palembang 20 Oktober 2021. pp. 911-923.  Palembang: Penerbit & Percetakan Universitas Sriwijaya (UNSRI). The objectives of this study were, 1) Knowing the marketing channels for independent smallholders of oil palm in Sidomulyo, Air Kumbang District, Banyuasin Regency, 2) Calculating marketing margins, farmer shares and marketing efficiency of oil palm Fresh Bauh (FFB) for independent smallholders in Sidomulyo, Air District. Kumbang, Banyuasin Regency. The location was determined deliberately. Data collection in this study was conducted in November. The data collected are primary data and secondary data. The data collection method uses the Snowball Sampling method. The research method used is a survey method. The results of the research that have been carried out can be concluded, 1) There are two marketing channels in Sidomulyo Village, Banyuasin District, namely channel 1 covering, farmers-merchant collectors-big traders-palm oil factories, and, 2 marketing channels covering, farmers-largescale- palm oil mill, 2) Marketing channel 1 has a marketing margin of 500 IDR/kg, farmer share of 64.2% and an efficiency figure of 17.85%, which means that it is efficient because the number shows less than 50 %, as well as marketing channel 2 with a marketing margin of 300 IDR/kg, farmer share 78.5% and efficiency value 10.71% indicate that marketing channel 2 is efficient, because the smaller the percentage of marketing efficiency, the more efficient the marketing channel. It can be concluded that marketing channel 2 is more efficient than marketing channel 1 which is the results in lower efficiency values because the total marketing costs are not high and the marketing channel 2 is shorter than marketing channel 1.
