Abstract

Hendarjanti H. 2021. The potential and efforts to maintain the effectiveness of several entomopathogens in controlling oryctes rhinoceros larvae in oil palm plantations. In: Herlinda S et al. (Eds.), Prosiding Seminar Nasional Lahan Suboptimal ke-9 Tahun 2021, Palembang 20 Oktober 2021. pp. 411-425.  Palembang: Penerbit & Percetakan Universitas Sriwijaya (UNSRI).Oryctes rhinoceros Linn. (Coleoptera: Scarabaeidae) is an essential oil palm pest. In the field, entomopathogenic control is less than optimal because the environmental conditions are not suitable. The purpose of this study was to determine the potential and efforts to maintain the effectiveness of Metarhizium anisopliae and Entomopathogens Nematodes (EPNs) for controlling O. rhinoceros larvae in oil palm plantations. The research has been conducted in immature oil palm plantations in Indragiri Hulu, Riau. The study used a non-factorial randomized block design with five treatments and three replications (EPNs: palm fronds mulch + no watering, palm fronds mulch + watering, palm fronds mulch + gunny sack + watering, Metarhizium anisopliae: palm fronds mulch + gunny sack + watering and control). Application of M. anisopliae with conidia density (1x106) with a dose of 0.15 l/m2 and EPNs 20,000 ij/m2. The application was carried out at the breeding site of rhinoceros beetle by spraying using a knapsack sprayer in the afternoon. The results showed that the pathogenicity of EPNs and M. anisopliae to larvae was 70.00 – 76.67% on the 24th day after application. On the first day after treatment, there was the death of larvae by EPNs. Application of M. anisopliae on larvae achieved death four days after application. The process of pathogenicity of EPNs in larvae was faster than that of M. anisopliae. The results showed that EPNs and M. anispoliae had an excellent opportunity to control O. rhinoceros and could be developed as an environmentally friendly and sustainable biological control.

Abstract

Suci IW, Zelika SA, Luzia AS, Wallingga R, Abdurrosyid MA, Irsan C. 2021. Parasitisation of Telenomus sp. on suppressing Spodoptera frugiperda's (Lepidoptera: Noctuidae) egg population on the maize plant. In: Herlinda S et al. (Eds.), Prosiding Seminar Nasional Lahan Suboptimal ke-9 Tahun 2021, Palembang 20 Oktober 2021. pp. 689-696. Palembang: Penerbit & Percetakan Universitas Sriwijaya (UNSRI).Spodoptera frugiperda (Lepidoptera: Noctuidae) is a polyphagous pest which attack plantation plant, one of them is maize plant (Zea mays). Attact aftermath this pest which was mentioned as Fall Armyworm which can injured the farmer products cause of its behaviour which attack growing point plant until can trigger failure of leaf preening. One of how to control S. frugiperda pest is by relying on natural enemic, which is parasitoid. Telenomus sp. is the one of many species of egg parasitoids of Fall Armyworm S. frugiperda, which is used most of the biodegradable control to reduce specific pest attacks on maize plants. The role of parasitoid is also important in suppressing host populations because they are specific and easier to breed than other natural enemies such as predators and fungi. The aimed of this scientific papers was to knew the potential and level of parasitism of Telenomus sp. on S. frugiperda’s egg population. The method used for this scientific papers was studied of literature from book and scientific journal on internet. Based on studied of literature, the parasitic rate of S. frugiperda’s eggs when the female imago of Telenomus sp. parasitize 50 S. frugiperda’s eggs succesfully parasitized 35 of the 50 S. frugiperda’s eggs or equivalent to 69.40%. As the S. frugiperda’s egg that has been parasitized by the Telenomus sp. parasitoid hatch, the number of females produced from the S. frugiperda host reached 74% and the number of male offspring was only 26%. An analysis of the Telenomus sp. parasitic levels on the S. frugiperda’s egg can be an important factor in biodiversity control and have high potential for controlling egg population of S. frugiperda on the maize plant. Surely this study can help the farmer in decreasing use of pesticides or another dangerous chemicals.

Abstract

Taufida T. 2021. Overview of the government policy and role in settlement of land rights ownership disputes. In: Herlinda S et al. (Eds.), Prosiding Seminar Nasional Lahan Suboptimal ke-9 Tahun 2021, Palembang 20 Oktober 2021. pp. 508-513. Palembang: Penerbit & Percetakan Universitas Sriwijaya (UNSRI). The government has policy and role in resolving disputes over the land rights and how the disputes are resolved. This study aimed to find out the policies and role of the government in resolving the disputes over the land rights and the efforts to resolve the disputes.  The research method used normative methods to analyze legal materials with reference to legal norms as outlined in the legislation. The result of this study showed that the resolution of conflicts over the land ownership was carried out by the National Land Agency (BPN) which was a forum for mediating parties to resolve the land ownership disputes.  If the mediation carried out by BPN does not find any solution, it can be resolved with the help of the General Court and the Arbitration Board to obtain legal certainty over the status of the land that is the object of the dispute while still fulfilling the principles of justice and legal certainty of the disputing parties.  It is suggested that the resolution of conflicts over the land be carried out by negotiation and deliberation first, in this case the government acts as a facilitator, not a mediator.  The choice of the dispute resolution path depends on the disputing parties, of course, with all considerations of time, cost and efficiency factors, the arbitration can be a solution in resolving the land disputes.

Abstract

Putra MFS, Astuti S, Mahmud KK, Nabila F, Irawan H, Lorenza P, Fitrani M. 2021.  Survivality and growth of red tilapia (Oreochromis sp.) maintained in yumina and bumina systems. In: Herlinda S et al. (Eds.), Prosiding Seminar NasionalLahan Suboptimalke-9 Tahun 2021, Palembang 20 Oktober 2021. pp. 788-794.  Palembang: Penerbit&PercetakanUniversitasSriwijaya (UNSRI). Fish farming is a source of livelihood for the community. However, in fish farming, especially tilapia, with high stocking rates, it will result in environmental pollution, both from undigested feed and too much fish manure. One technique that can overcome this is using yumina and bumina. This cultivation technique combines vegetables with fish or fruits with fish. By doing this technique, it will not damage the environment due to the use of fish manure which is used as fertilizer for plants. Yumina-bumina is the right solution because it is environmentally friendly, water quality can also be improved with this technique, because a decrease in water quality will cause fish death. This paper aimed to determine the effect of survival and growth of red tilapia cultured using yumina, bumina, and without yumina and bumina cultivation systems. Based on the results of the journal with 3 treatments, the highest weight growth value of tilapia was in the treatment of tilapia cultivation using pakcoy, and eggplant with results of 27.5 g and 27.2 g, respectively. As for the control treatment, the result was 18.7 g. In addition to pakcoy and eggplant, the yumina and bumina techniques can use basil, kailan, and other plants to get optimal fish growth results. Thus, the growth of tilapia using yumina and bumina techniques resulted in higher growth than without using yumina and bumina, and obtained two advantages in cultivation, namely vegetables and fish or fruit and fish.

Abstract

Achadi T, Fitriana M, Marlina M, Gustiar F. 2021. Growth and yield leaf vegetables cultivated hydroponic with nutrition liquid organic fertilizer of kind leftover fruits. In: Herlinda S et al. (Eds.), Prosiding Seminar Nasional Lahan Suboptimal ke-9 Tahun 2021, Palembang  20 Oktober 2021. pp. 924-930. Palembang: Penerbit & Percetakan Universitas Sriwijaya (UNSRI).  Liquid organic fertilizer is the result of overhaul or decomposition of organic matter, can come from animals or plants. Liquid organic fertilizer is made from damaged or rotten fruit and skin fruit (bananas, papayas, pineapples and  a mixture of all three). So far, the hydroponic system uses inorganic nutrients or fertilizers (for example AB mix). This study aims to find out the effect of liquid organic fertilizers (POC) on the growth and yield of leaf vegetables (kale, spinach and caisim). This research used a hydroponic system, carried out from July to September 2021. This study used completely randomized design, with 8 treatments and 4 replications? The treatments were A = AB mix, B = liquid organic fertilizer from bananas, C = liquid organic fertilizer from pineapples, D = liquid organic fertilizer from papaya, E = liquid organic fertilizer from bananas and pineapples, F = liquid organic fertilizer from bananas and papayas, G = liquid organic fertilizer from pineapple and papayas, H = liquid organic fertilizer from bananas, pineapples and papayas. The results showed that liquid organic fertilizer had not been able to replace the AB mix solution, but there was hope liquid organic fertilizer could replace AB mix solution although the growth of spinach plants given POC leftover papaya fruit and POC fruit mixture (Pineapple + Papaya) shows growth, while caisim and kale plants show better growth than spinach plants. The remaining POC of pineapple fruit encourages the growth of caisim plants while poc of papaya fruit remains encourage the growth of kale plants.
