(Eds.), Prosiding Seminar Nasional Lahan Suboptimal ke-9 Tahun 2021, Palembang 20 Oktober 2021. pp. 392-399.  Palembang: Penerbit & Percetakan Universitas Sriwijaya (UNSRI).One of the problems in sub-optimal land at Madura is limited water which results in low sugarcane productivity. Therefore, it is necessary to maintain soil moisture through the application of mycorrhizae and soil moisturizer. The aim of the study was to obtain a technology package for sugarcane cultivation on sub-optimal land in the Madura region, especially Bangkalan Regency. The experiment was carried out in Bangkalan, Madura on an irrigated dry land area from March to November 2015. The variety used was Bululawang. Soil moisturizer, namely acrylamide polymer in the form of dry granule with the size of L. Mycorrhizal fungus used was Glomus sp. The study was designed on a split plot design. The main plot was the application of organic matter compost 10 tonnes/ha and without the application of compost. Subplots consisted of 4 treatments, mycorrhizae 5 grams per 2 eyes budsett, soil moisturizer 20 kg/ha, a combination of mycorrhizae and soil moisturizer and without mycorrhizae and soil moisturizer (control). Each treatment was repeated three times. The results of the observations were analyzed using Analysis of Variance and continued with Least Significant Difference Test 5% (LSD 5%). The results of the experiment showed that the use of compost, mycorrhizae and soil moisturizer increased the number of tillers and stalks of sugarcane. The combination of compost, mycorrhizae and soil moisturizer could enhance number of tillers 36.99% and number of stalks 42.16% significantly different to control.

(Eds.), Prosiding Seminar Nasional Lahan Suboptimal ke-9 Tahun 2021, Palembang 20 Oktober 2021. pp. 530-536.  Palembang: Penerbit & Percetakan Universitas Sriwijaya (UNSRI). Chili (Capsicum frutescens sp.)is a type of plant organiting from the Americas. Chili plants in Indonesia are reported to have been attacked by many diseases caused by insect such as aphids. The research was conducted in Tanjung Pering, North Indralaya District, Ogan Ilir, and Indralaya Indah District , Indralaya District, Ogan Ilir District, South Sumatra. The purpose of this research was to indentify the characteristics of chilli crop  and to know the influence of the population of aphids on Chili with different location and treatment. The method used in making this scientific paper were literature study and observation. The results showed that the plants in Indralaya Indah location (land B) more pest aphids than in Tanjung Pering (land A). On land A there was pest of species aphids (Myzus persicae). On land B there were aphid pests of Aphis gossypii species, Myzus persiciae, and whitefly pest Bemisia tabacispecies. In conclusion, the presence oh whitefly population on land A is caused by the presence of papaya plants around the land. Aphid pests attack  many chili plants in land B because the amount of weeds is too high than in land A.

Palembang: Penerbit & Percetakan Universitas Sriwijaya (UNSRI).The purpose of this research was to find out the amount of agricultural tools and machinery and the invesment incurred to procure agricultural equipment and machinery required to improve the production of rice in the regency of South OKU, South Sumatra province. The research was carried out on Juni until October of 2019 at Department of Agriculture of South Ogan Komering Ulu Regency, Food Security Service of South Ogan Komering Ulu, UPJA (Agricultural Equipment and Machinery Services Unit), Gapoktan (Farmer Groups Union) in BPR Ranau Tengah, Buay Runjung, and Muaradua Kisam sub-district of South Ogan Komering Ulu Regency. This research used a descriptive method with tabulation presentation. The parameters used in this research were the number of Agricultural Equipment and Machinery, the level of Agricultural Equipment and Machinery sufficiency and the cost of investment. The result of this research has shown that the distribution of Agricultural Tools and Machinery was still very deficient and not evenly distributed. Two-wheel tractor and rice transplanter showed the percentage of 73% or in medium category, four-wheel tractor in percentage of 100% or in sufficient category and the agricultural tools and machinary in deficient category with percemtage under 40% includes combine harvester, power thresher and vertical dryer. Most sub-district in South OKU have not yet received any equipment, the sub-district that received it have insufficient number of equipment. The total investment cost to be incurred to satisfy agricultural equipment and machinery requirement in South OKU regency was 39,889,500,000 IDR.

(Eds.), Prosiding Seminar Nasional Lahan Suboptimal ke-9 Tahun 2021, Palembang 20 Oktober 2021. pp. 811-815.  Palembang: Penerbit & Percetakan Universitas Sriwijaya (UNSRI). After the issuance of the Law 11 of 2020 concerning Job Creation and its derivative regulations, the paradigm of licensing arrangements, especially environmental permits, underwent a significant change. These changes include those in the nomenclature of environmental permits to environmental approvals and changes to environmental management and protection permits to technical approvals.  The lack of understanding of this regulation by ASN (civil servant) in the Office of Environment of Banyuasin District has caused confusion and concern for business actors in managing environmental permits.  This study aimed to find out the level of understanding of ASN of the Office of  Environment and Business Actors in Banyuasin District regarding the application of Government Regulation No. 22 of 2021 which resulted in non-optimal services in the management of environmental permits The method was random by conducting interviews and questionnaires to 10 ASN and 20 business actors in Banyuasin District. The results of this study showed that ASN's understanding of this regulation reached almost 50 percent and that of business actors reached 80 percent.  In conclusion, there was still a very minimal understanding of ASN and Business Actors on the Implementation of Government Regulation Number 22 of 2021. It is necessary to carry out Socialization and Technical Guidance to improve understanding of Government Regulation Number 22 of 2021.

Semayang Lake is utilized by fisher, located in Kutai Kartanegara Regency, East Kalimantan. This paper aims to find out the perspective of small-scale fisher regarding the utilization of Semayang  Lake during the Covid-19 pandemic and the desired management strategy. Data were collected by interviewing used the questionnaires with closed and open answered to 100 fishers. Respondents are encouraged to express their opinion. The data is presented in graphs and descriptions, and then it is analyzed qualitatively. The results show that all respondents continue to carry out capture fisheries and aquaculture activities during the Covid-19 pandemic. Fishers understand the need to maintain fisheries sustainability. The Covid-19 pandemic has had an impact on declining incomes. The strategy to increase revenue is the need for training on improving the selling value of fish. The role of local governments and fishery extension workers is needed widely to assist the wise use of aquatic resources.

Palembang: Penerbit & Percetakan Universitas Sriwijaya (UNSRI).Spodoptera frugiperda attack on corn is one of the important problems in corn cultivation which causes damage to corn plants. The purpose of this study was to determined the level of damage and loss to corn crops on agricultural land by S. frugiperda and to determined the appropriate control method to suppress the damage caused by S. frugiperda. The methodology used in this research was an approach through literature study. Based on several literature studies to suppress the population of S. frugiperda, can be used biological control by using natural enemies of S. frugiperda. Synthetic insecticide controlled was also used, but not safed for the environment. To knowing the appropriate corn plants to avoid pest attacks. The level of damage due to S. frugiperda in 2019 in African and European countries reached 8.3-20.6 tons a year with lost between US$ 2.5-6.2 million a year. The damage caused by S. frugiperda to corn was about 60%.

Acid dry land has the potential to develop sweet corn because it covers 29% of the total land area in Indonesia. The challenges faced in acid dry land are soil fertility and lumpy soil structure, therefore to increase sweet corn yields can be through the application of solid and liquid organic fertilizers and tillage settings. The purpose of the study was to determine the right type of organic fertilizer and appropriate tillage settings for sweet corn cultivation in the acid dry land. This research was conducted in 2 Prajen Hamlet, Banyuasin Regency, South Sumatra from December 2018 to March 2019. The layout in the field was arranged based on the Split Plot Design with 6 treatment combinations repeated 4 times. The main plots are tillage (O): no tillage (O0), minimum tillage (O1), and maximum tillage (O2). Sub-plots are types of Organic fertilizers (P): liquid organic fertilizer (P1) and solid organic fertilizer (P2). The results showed that minimum tillage with solid organic fertilizer was able to increase sweet corn yield by 146% when compared to treatment without tillage with liquid organic fertilizer, increasing by 120% when compared to treatment without tillage with solid organic fertilizer.

Palembang: Penerbit & Percetakan Universitas Sriwijaya (UNSRI). Diamondback moth, Plutella xylostella is an important insect pest on plants belong to Brassicaceae family. Symptoms of attack is hollow leaves and leave dirt on them. If it is not controlled, the yield loss can reach 80%. Control by using biological agents entomopathogenic bacteria Bacillus thuringiensis may be used to reduce the population of P. xylostella. The purpose of research was to study the pathogenicity of B. thuringiensis isolated from cadaver of  Spodoptera litura against P. xylostella larvae in the laboratory. The treatments were two isolates of B. thuringiensis encoded  SlBt01 and SLBt03. The experiment was designed with a completely randomized design  (CRD) separated between isolates. The treatment consisted of 5 treatments (including control) spore density and 5 replications. Observations were mortality rate and time of death of the test larvae. Results showed the highest mortality was in isolate SlBT01 (61.73%)  and in isolate SlBt03 (56.66%). The lowest LT50 values of isolates SlBt01 and SLBt03 were 9.78 days and 9.14 days, respectively. Symptoms of infection in Plutella larvae are changes in body color and eventually die with symptoms of wet rot.

Palembang: Penerbit & Percetakan Universitas Sriwijaya (UNSRI). Red bean is one of Indonesia's local beans which contain high fiber and protein. Red bean also contain bioactive compounds (polyphenolic) that have antibacterial activity. Red bean processing is still not optimal, therefore the research is needed to examine the potential of red bean flour in making of tortillas. This research aimed to study the effect of red bean flour addition on physicochemical and sensory properties of tortilla. This study used a Completely Randomized Design. The factor was proportion of corn flour and red bean flour with eight level treatments (F) consisting of F1 (100% : 0%), F2 (90% : 10%), F3 (80% : 20%), F4 (70% : 30%), F5 (60% : 40%), F6 (50% : 50%), F7 (40% : 60%), and F8 (30% : 70%). The parameters were physical (color and texture), chemical (moisture, protein, and food fiber content), and sensory properties (taste, texture, and color). The results showed that the proportion of corn flour and red bean flour had significant effects on lightness, redness, yellowness, moisture content, and sensory properties (taste, texture, and color). Based on sensory properties and protein content, tortilla of F5 (60% corn flour : 40% red bean flour) was the best treatment.

Palembang: Penerbit & Percetakan Universitas Sriwijaya (UNSRI). Household food in rural areas is related to the availability of existing food access, one of the providers of food access in rural areas is the village market. The village market in South Sumatra is better known as the circle market. The purpose of this study was to identify efforts to increase the role of the village market in fulfilling household food in Ulak Pianggu Village. This study uses the Logical Framework Approach (LFA) method which consists of four analyzes, namely stakeholder analysis, problem analysis, objective analysis, and strategy analysis. The results of this study found that the market for Ulak Pianggu Village did not play a role in fulfilling household food, because the food available in the Ulak Pianggu Village market was incomplete. Based on the analysis of the Logical Framework Approach (LFA), a recommended solution was found, namely by increasing the availability of food types in the community market in order to increase the role of the village market in fulfilling household food in Ulak Pianggu Village.
