Abstract

The increase in population is a global problem throughout the world. Handling it can be done by making KB (Family Planning) program. Some information reveals that injection is most popularly used as a modern contraceptive device. A wrong use of KB injection can cause acceptors to get pregnant. It is usually because they are late in reuse it. A study showed that 60% to 78% of women get pregnant one year after they use the last injection. The research used a survey method with cross sectional design. It was done at the Poliklinik KB of the Regional General Hospital of Aceh Tamiang Regency. The pollution was 80 acceptors of progestin injection, and all of them were used as the samples (total sampling). The data were analyzed by using simple regression analysis. The result of the research showed that predisposing factors (knowledge, education, occupation, and distance) and reinforcing factors (husbands’ support) had the influence on punctuality in revisiting progestin injection. Of the five variable, husbands’ support had the most dominant influence on the punctuality in revisiting progestin injection at the Poliklinik KB of the Regional General Hospital of Aceh Tamiang Regency (OR=8.594). Revisiting acceptors who were not punctual were OR=85% and punctual were 15%. It is recommended that injection contraceptive devise be used as it is more effective ad husbands support their wives to use it and accompany them in revisiting progestin injection so that the health care providers can give complete information about the benefit and the side-effect of progestin injection contraception and can increase husbands’ understanding about progestin injection.

The result of the research showed that there was significant influence of knowledge, attitude, perception, self-vulnerability, husbands’ support, and health care providers’ support on pregnant women’s behavior in having HIV examined. The result of multiple logistic regression analysis showed that the variable which had the most dominant influence was husbands’ support which had the opportunity of 11.136 times of having HIV examined compared with husbands who did not support. The respondents were 45 SMEC BPJS patients and 45 SMEC Executive patients. The result of bivariate analysis showed that there was significant relationship of product, people, process, and physical evidence with respondents’ decision to choose the SMEC Executive types of service. The result of multivariate analysis showed that there was significant relationship of people and process with respondents’ decision to choose the SMEC Executive types of service, and the variable of people were the most dominant factor. The research concluded that product, people, process, and physical evidence had influence on the decision to choose the types of service in the hospital, and while people were the most influential factor. Researcher suggested that hospitals could maintain and improve the factor of people’s quality because people were the most dominant factor, and along by increasing the other factors in order to help achieving hospital’s goals. Abstract

Cervical cancer is a malignant disease in cervix; it ranks the second as the cause of death in women throughout the world after breast cancer. The coverage of its early detection, using IVA method in Indonesia is 8.1% so that the case is found when it has already been in advanced stage. IVA (Visual Inspection with Acetic Acid) is a simple alternative method which is aimed to detect cervical cancer early as possible. The objective of the research was to find out the influence of audiovisual media health education with visual media about cervical cancer early detection through IVA screening on women’s knowledge and attitude at Hinai Kiri Puskesmas. The research used quasi experimental method with without control group design. The samples were 24 married women who were 30-50 years old, taken by using purposive sampling technique. The data were analyzed by using bivariate analysis with paired t-test statistic test. The result of paired t-test showed that p-value = 0.000 (p<0.05) in the respondents’ knowledge and attitude with the increase in the mean-score of the knowledge with audiovisual media was -16.75, visual media was -13.42, and the mean-score of attitude with audiovisual media was -18.83, visual media was -20..34. There was the influence of health education of audiovisual media with visual media on the respondents’ knowledge and attitude toward cervical cancer early detection through IVA screening. It is recommended that health education technique be developed to increase people’s awareness of cervical cancer, and cervical cancer screening facility be provided by using affordable IVA method.

Abstract

The low support of fertile age couples in the IUD KB program has resulted in low interest in IUD acceptors. The preliminary survey of Family Planning Field Officer (PLKB) data in the Extensive Public Health Center in 2017 was 3956 PUS, with active participants of 2053 couples of childbearing age. The achievement is only 57.21% and 42.79% is Unmeet Need. This is a descriptive analytic with a cross sectional design approach. The results showed that there was a relationship between knowledge, attitudes, socio-culture, quality of family planning services, husband's support, and information sources with PUS participation as IUD KB acceptors. In addition, these six variables predominantly influence the participation of fertile age couples (PUS) to IUD family planning acceptors because they have the same high EXP (B) value as other variables. The results of multiple logistic regression tests obtained multivariate analysis of pus women had the opportunity of 4,514 times to participate as IUD KB acceptors. Suggestions The respondents are expected to be able to increase knowledge about IUD family planning so that they are aware of the use of IUD contraceptives and understand the functions, benefits and effectiveness of IUD contraception so that community participants get to know and use IUD contraceptives.
