Abstract

The increase in population in Indonesia has caused population problems in which people use Non-MKJP (Non-Long Term Contraceptive Method), compared with MKJP. The negative impact of low coverage of MKJP users is the increase in population which brings about low provision in manpower. The objective of the research was to find out some factors which influenced of MKJP users’ participation in PUS (productive-aged couples) at Kampung KB, Kelurahan Rengas Pulau, Medan Marelan, in 2018. The research used observational analytic method with cross sectional dresign. The population was 365 KB (Family Planning) acceptors at Kampung KB, Kelurahan Rengas Pulau, and 78 of them were used as the samples. The result of multiple logistic regression analysis at p-value=0.25 showed that there was the influence of knowledge (p=0.018, PR=5.987), parity (p=0.001, PR=0.058), husbands’ or families’ support (p=0.001, PR=21.061), culture (p=0.005, PR=0.041), the distance of health facility (p=0.010, PR=0.089) on MKJP users’ participation in PUS. However, there was no influence of health care providers (p=0.054, PR=4.507) on MKJP users’ participation in PUS. The variable which had the most dominant influence of husbands’ or families’ support which had the opportunity of 21.061 time more than that of the other variables in MKJP users’ participation in PUS. It is recommended that the health care providers support the use of MKJP so that PUS can understand the benefit of using contraception.

Abstract

Cervical cancer is a disease caused by HPV or human papilloma virus. IVA is a cervical examination directly (with the naked eye) after the administration of acetic acid will affect the abnormal epithelium where there will be an increase in osmolarity of extra celular fluid, which is hypertonikini which will draw fluid from the intra celular so that the cell membrane will collapse and the distance between the cells will get closer , consequently the reddish shadow of the blood vessels in the stroma will be closed and the cervix will appear whiter. Descriptive analytic research design with Cross Sectional approach is a study to study the dynamics of correlation between risk factors with the effect of how to approach, observe and collect data at once. The population in this study were women pus in the johor ward XV field district with a total of 134 respondents. The sample in this study uses total sampling. Based on the results of the study of knowledge obtained the Chi-Square test (-value) = 0.011 <0.05, the age obtained by Chi-Square test (-value) = 0.047 <0.05. education obtained by Chi-Square test (-value) = 0.045 <0.05. parity obtained by Chi-Square test (-value) = 0.000 <0.05, attitudes obtained by Chi-Square test (-value) = 0.000 <0.05. From the results of the second stage of logistic regression, namely the attitude of women pus with value (sig = 0,000; Odd Ratio 7,532). The conclusion of the results of the study is the influence of knowledge, age, education, parity, and attitudes with IVA examination. And the most influential factor in the SADARI examination is knowledge, parity and attitudes of women.

Abstract

Abstract Introduction: Sierra Leone was one of the three West African countries to be affected by the Ebola outbreak in 2014. As of 6 May 2015, there were 8595 confirmed cases, 3558 suspected cases and 287 probable cases reported in Sierra Leone. Of the 8595 cases, 303 were health workers. Poor infrastructure, limited trained healthcare workers, acute shortages of equipment and medications are factors which mitigates the control of Ebola virus disease (EVD) and other infectious disease outbreaks. The Ministry of Health and Sanitation (MOHS) were concerned that EVD transmission may occur in the PHUs without resources or knowledge to perform IPC for EVD screening and patient management. Methods: Baseline data were collected on the healthcare workers, logistical management and case detection. Of the 68 PHUs in the area, 67 were visited on 26 March – 7 April 2015. The basic infrastructure of the PHUs as well as their practice rooms, wards, laboratories, cold chain and warehouse were surveyed. The basic infrastructure refers to the cell-phone coverage, waste management, functioning water source and source of water, electricity supply and source of electricity and its cold chain support. Results: A total of 2,300 patient visits were recorded in 22 PHUs, out of the 68. Of these visits, 962 (42%) were Ebola-related. Hand washing facilities/hand rub solution insufficient (infrastructure is already poor), Half till 75% of PHU did not have Basic infrastructure, Supplies to non ebola medication not equipped, it needed to screen the suspect of ebola cases, but PHU has the capacity to be prepared to screen the suspect ebola as an existing system at the same time CCC, Holding centre and ETU closed. Conclusion: Hand washing facilities/hand rub solution must be given in sufficient quantities, Basic Infrastructure in PHU should be cultivated built (Electricity, water source, waste management and communication) – long term issue, Medication and Laboratory Supplies need to be equipped, and donor and international organization must be involved to help DHMT improve the facilities to strengthen PHU.

Abstract

Background: According to the 2015 Indonesian Demographic Health Survey (IDHS), age in childbirth is large enough to target the Maternal Mortality Rate (MMR). This page looks at 228 / 100,000 KH modes as much as 28% of bleeding, 24% of eclampsia, 11% of infections and 26, 3% of AKI that occur during childbirth. From my previous research, more benefits of Steam Shower is can be used for postpartum mothers, removing toxins in the body, normalizing blood circulation, burning calories, improving stamina, freshness of the body, cleansing dirty blood. The purpose of this study was to find out the standard time for process Steam Shower to help for postpartum maternal health. The research method is descriptive, which is qualitative with an interpretive paradigm with ethical and ethnic approaches. This research is data-based naturalistic to see phenomena naturally. The results of processing of this study are noted that mothers will feel the benefits are sufficient within 15-20 minutes. According to informants within 15-20 minutes the steam produced from 21 kinds of spices can still be felt by the aroma of the Steam Shower therapy, but there are still mothers who do less than 15 minutes with the reason of not being able to. It does not matter whether it is necessary to inform the duration of Steam Shower therapy that is useful for health care for postpartum mothers. Suggestions for research results can be used as material for knowledge and information for health workers such as midwives in providing midwifery care without neglecting cultural aspects.
