Abstract

This study aims to determine and describe the differences in mathematical problem solving abilities using an open-ended approach with contextual teaching and learning (CTL) VIII grade students of SMP N 2 Merangin 2016/2017 Academic Year. This study uses a quantitative approach with the experimental method. The study design was a post test only control design with a population of class VIII students totaling 5 classes. The sampling technique uses simple random sampling. The selected sample is class VIII C and class VIII A. The technique of collecting data uses a test in the form of essay questions. The data analysis technique uses the t-test because the data is normally distributed and has a homogeneous variance. From the results of testing the hypothesis it can be concluded that there is a significant difference between mathematical problem solving abilities using an open-ended approach with contextual teaching and learning (CTL) VIII grade students of SMP N 2 Merangin 2016/2017 academic year. Abstract

This study aims to describe the ability of mathematical connections using cooperative models oftypes connecting, organizing, reflecting and extending (CORE) better than conventional learning. This study uses a quantitative approach with the experimental method. The study design was a post test only control design with a population of class IX students totaling 5 classes. The sampling technique uses simple random sampling. The selected sample is class IXC and class IXE. Data collection techniques use tests in the form of essay questions. Analysis techniques for testing hypotheses with t-test, because the data are normally distributed and homogeneous variance. From the data analysis it can be concluded that the mathematical connection ability using cooperative models oftypes connecting, organizing, reflecting and extending (CORE) is better than using conventional learning models of class IX students at Merangin 2 Public High School. Abstract

The purpose of this research is to know the procedure of development of interactive multimedia learning and to produce flash-based program of parametric statistics material in Inferential Statistics Course, and to know student's response. The research method used is development research, with material selection procedure, user determination, determining program indicator, arranging scenario, making design appearance, making prototype, testing, and evaluation. The program is validated by material experts and media experts then tested. Assessment of material experts concluded that the program is very feasible to use with a percentage of 95%, and the assessment by the program media experts declared very feasible with the percentage of 84%. The student's response to the program is excellent with a percentage of 86.98%. The conclusion of this research is the interactive multimedia of parametric statistical material using flash program in the course of Inferential Statistics is very good and feasible to be used as learning media. Abstract

This research of background overhador by understanding of mathematical concept use model study of probing-prompting based problem posing better than the understanding of mathematical concept use conventional study of class student of VIII MTs Al-Munawwaroh Bangko year 2016/2017. This research type is research of experiment with population 90 people. Technique withrawal of sampel use sampling random simple. Chosen sampel is class of VIII A/Pa as experiment class and class of VIII B/Pa as class of kontrol. Technique collecting tes of is understanding of mathematical concept which in form of problem of essay at cube items and log. Technique analyse data used to test hypothesis is test-t of data analysis of tes final experiment class obtained by ean 39,24 varians 49,85, while control class obtained by mean 32,88, varians 43,17. Result of hypothesis test obtained, thitung = 2,79 and ttabel = 1,68 because thitung > ttabel of hense Ho refused and Ha accepted. Conclusoin of this research that is understanding of mathematical concept use study of probing better than the understanding of concept use convensional study of class student of VIII MTs Al-Munawwaroh Bangko year 2016/2017. Abstract

The purpose of this study is to find out the mathematics learning outcomes of students using a realistic approach is higher than using conventional learning. The research method used is the experimental research method. The population in this study were Grade VII Students of SMP Negeri 1 Merangin, while the sample used in this study was VIIB class as the experimental class and VIID class as the control class. Data collection uses a questionnaire method with a Likert scale to motivate students, while the problem-solving ability with essay questions. The data analysis method for motivation with the t-test, for test analysis is by the t-test, before carrying out the t-test on the similarity of the two averages, the normality test and the homogeneity test first. Then the hypothesis test aims to find out whether the hypothesis is accepted or rejected. Hypothesis testing is done using the z-test. The results of the research data analysis show for learning motivation of class VII students of SMP Negeri 1 Merangin in following mathematics learning after using a realistic mathematical approach better than motivation to learn mathematics before using this realistic mathematical approach with an average initial motivation of 2.38 and final motivation of 3.08. Whereas the mathematical problem solving abilities of class VII students at SMP Negeri 1 Merangin using a realistic mathematical approach were higher than conventional mathematics learning outcomes with an experimental class average of 80.46 and a control class of 57.79. Abstract

This study aims to describe mathematical communication skills using the cooperative learning model type make a match better than conventional learning class X SMA N 5 Merangin. This study uses a quantitative approach, an experimental method with a population of students in class XA, XB, XC and XD. The sampling technique uses simple random sampling technique. The sample chosen was XB class as the experimental class and XC class as the control class. The technique of collecting data through tests of mathematical communication skills with essay questions on three dimensional space material. Requirement test results of data are normally distributed and homogeneous variance, then the data analysis technique used is the t-test (independent sample t-test). From the analysis of the final test data on the experimental class obtained an average of 46,172, while the control class obtained an average of 35,893. Hypothesis test results obtained tcount = 8.533 and = 1.673, because tcount > then Ha is accepted namely mathematical communication skills using the cooperative learning model type make a match better than conventional learning class X SMA N 5 Merangin The recommendation of this study is the Make A Match type cooperative learning model that is better applied in the learning process in three dimensional space material, because this learning model can make students more active and able to develop themselves. Abstract

This study aims to describe the learning outcomes of mathematics using the Jigsaw type cooperative learning model better than Think Pair Share on Merangin 28th Junior High School students' building material. This study uses a quantitative approach to the experimental method with a population of eighth grade students totaling 36 people. The sampling technique uses Simple Random Sampling. The selected sample is class VIII B as the experimental class 1 and VIII A as the experimental class 2. The technique of collecting data is through a test of mathematics learning outcomes in the form of essay questions with a number of four items in the matter of building space. The data analysis technique used to test hypotheses is the u-test. From the analysis of the final test data in the experimental class 1 obtained an average score of 71.53, variance of 805.41, while the experimental class 2 obtained an average score of 66.36, variance of 697.786. -U test results obtained, sig at significance level of 0.05 is 0,217 turns sig> or 0.217> 0.05, H0 accepted. The conclusion of this study is that the mathematics learning outcomes using the Jigsaw type cooperative learning model are no better than Think Pair Share in the room building material of Class VIII students of SMP N 28 Merangin. Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe mathematical communication skills using a cooperative learning model type two stay two stray better than conventional learning. The study used a quantitative approach with the experimental method. The study population was all students of class VII of SMP N 8 Sarolangun totaling three classes with samples of the VIIA class as the experimental class and VIIB class as the control class. The instruments used are test questions for essay mathematical communication skills. The results of the data analysis requirements show that the data of the two sample classes are normally distributed and have a non-homogeneous variance. Hypothesis testing uses the t-test formula. Based on the results of the analysis of research data shows that tcount is greater than t table or 6.576> 1.729 in the one-party test. Because tcount> t table then Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted, so it can be concluded that mathematical communication skills using cooperative learning models of type two stay two stray are better than conventional learning of class VII students of SMP N 8 Sarolangun. Abstract

The purpose of this study was to improve students' mathematics learning outcomes using the Group Investigation (GI) learning model of statistical material. The research method used is classroom action research. The research subjects were class XI students of TKJ SMK Negeri 11 Merangin with a total of 23 students, 15 of whom were male and 8 of them were female. The object of the research is the Investigation Group (GI) learning model. The design of this study consisted of planning, implementation, evaluation and observation, and reflection using three cycles. The results of this study obtained an average of mathematics learning outcomes in the first cycle of 62.17, in the second cycle of 69.78 and in the second cycle 70.22. For classical learning completeness in the first cycle, that is 43.48%, the second cycle is 65.22% and in the third cycle is 78.26%. For teacher activities on silkus I, which is 69.22%, on silkus II is 100% and in cycle III is 100%. And for student activities on silkus I is 51.44%, in silkus II is 65.20% and in cycle III is 82.96%. It can be concluded that by implementing the Group Investigation learning model in the learning process it is proven that it can improve the mathematics learning outcomes of students of SMK Negeri 11 Merangin in the 2015/2016 Academic Year both in completing learning and learning activities. Abstract

This study aims to describe the mathematical problem solving abilities using the Questions Student Have strategy better than conventional learning of class VIII students of SMP 7 Merangin 2015/2016 Academic Year. This study uses a quantitative approach to the experimental method with a population of eighth grade students of SMP N 7 Merangin in the 2015/2016 Academic Year totaling 74 people. The sampling technique uses Simple Random Sampling. The selected sample is class VIII A as the experimental class and VIII C as the control class. Data collection techniques through tests of mathematical problem solving abilities in the form of essay questions with the number of five items in the cube and beam material given in class VIII B. The data analysis technique used to test the hypothesis is the t-test. From the analysis of final test data in the experimental class obtained an average score of 51.17, variance of 7.281, while the control class obtained an average score of 46.52, variance of 10.108. Hypothesis test results obtained, tcount = 1.84 and ttable = 1.68. Or 1.84> 1.68 this means tcount > ttable so Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. The conclusion of this study is that mathematical problem solving abilities using the Questions Student Have strategy are better than using conventional learning by class VIII SMP N 7 Merangin 2015/2016 Academic Year.
