Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation, supporting and inhibiting factors, and the impact of religious moderation education within the Aksi Gantrung Sabumi Anti-Bullying Movement at State Junior High School 1 Mejayan. This study employs a qualitative approach using a case study design. Data collection techniques included observation, interviews, and documentation. Data were analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model through data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results indicate that religious moderation education is implemented through educational, participatory, and structural approaches, such as anti-bullying declarations, anti-bullying campaigns, the formation of change agents, character development, and the ASAKU reporting system. Supporting factors for the program include a conducive school culture, teacher involvement, parental support, and the cultivation of religious and social character. Meanwhile, inhibiting factors stem from the influence of social media, the environment outside of school, and the unstable emotional state of students. Program implementation yields positive impacts, including increased tolerance, the courage to report bullying incidents, improved collaboration skills, and a decrease in bullying behavior within the school environment. This study demonstrates that religious moderation education holds strong relevance in fostering a safe, inclusive, and bullying-free school culture.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of edutainment learning in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) and to analyze its impact on the learning motivation of students at SMPN 24 Gresik. This research employed a qualitative case study design. Data were collected through moderate participatory observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The informants consisted of Islamic Religious Education teachers, eighth-grade students, and school staff related to the learning process. Data analysis was conducted through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing, while validity was ensured through source and method triangulation. The results show that edutainment learning was implemented through planning, implementation, and evaluation. Teachers prepared learning modules, selected interactive methods, combined explanation with question-and-answer activities, quizzes, educational games, group discussions, and Islamic-based digital media, and used written tests, practice-based assessment, and feedback. The approach had a positive impact on students' learning motivation, reflected in increased enthusiasm, participation, confidence, activeness, and interest in learning PAI. Therefore, edutainment can be used as an alternative strategy for strengthening PAI learning that is relevant to students.

Abstract

This study examines the concepts of tolerance and social justice of Prophet Muhammad SAW in the book Al-Raḥīq al-Makhtūm by Shafiyyurrahman Al-Mubarakfuri and their relevance as the basis of multicultural education in the modern era. This research uses a qualitative approach with the type of library research. The primary data source is the book Al-Raḥīq al-Makhtūm, while secondary sources are obtained from books, journals, and relevant scientific articles discussing multicultural education, tolerance, and social justice. Data collection was conducted through documentation techniques, while data analysis used content analysis with a descriptive-analytical approach. The results show that the Prophet Muhammad SAW practiced tolerance through recognition of social diversity, protection of minority rights, freedom of religion through the Medina Charter, and inclusive social interaction. The concept of social justice is reflected in equality before the law, protection of human rights, rejection of discrimination, and fair distribution of social rights. These values are highly relevant to multicultural education in the modern era, especially in building inclusive, democratic, and humane educational systems. This study contributes to strengthening Islamic-based multicultural education by positioning the prophetic values contained in Al-Raḥīq al-Makhtūm as conceptual and practical foundations in responding to intolerance and social discrimination in contemporary society.

Abstract

The rapid advancement of digital technology has influenced students’ social behavior, particularly in terms of social interaction and concern for others. This condition presents a challenge for educational institutions in fostering students’ social character. Therefore, social service programs based on Islamic Religious Education (PAI) are considered an effective medium for strengthening social care values among students. This study was conducted at SMP Assa'adah Surabaya with the aim of exploring the implementation of social service programs in strengthening students' social care values, identifying the values developed through these activities, and examining the factors that support and hinder their implementation. This study employed a qualitative approach using a descriptive case study design. Data were gathered through observations, interviews, and documentation involving the principal, Islamic Religious Education teachers, student affairs personnel, and students participating in social service activities. The collected data were analyzed through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing, while data validity was ensured through source and technique triangulation. The findings reveal that social service activities at SMP Assa'adah Surabaya are implemented through various programs, including Friday charity collections, fundraising initiatives, social aid distribution, and environmental service activities. These programs contribute significantly to the development of social care values such as empathy, solidarity, cooperation, mutual assistance, and social responsibility. Furthermore, students demonstrated positive behavioral changes through increased participation in social activities and greater awareness of community needs. The successful implementation of these programs is supported by school commitment, teacher involvement, and a conducive religious environment. However, challenges remain, including limited time allocation, differences in students’ levels of social awareness, and the influence of digital media on students’ social engagement. The study concludes that social service programs integrated with Islamic Religious Education can serve as an effective strategy for strengthening students’ social character in the digital era.
