Hasta Wiyata adalah nama jurnal yang diterbitkan oleh program studi Pendidikan Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia, Fakultas Ilmu Budaya, Universitas Brawijaya. Kedua istilah tersebut berasal dari bahasa Sanskerta, “hasta” berarti tangan dan “wiyata” berarti pengajaran. Jurnal ini bergerak dalam bidang bahasa, sastra, dan pendidikan. Jurnal Hasta Wiyata memuat hasil penelitian yang inovatif, tulisan ilmiah yang orisinil, refleksi kritis-teoretis, studi literatur, gagasan tertulis, dan artikel konseptual dari berbagai cabang ilmu yang fokus pada kajian bahasa, sastra, dan pendidikan. Jurnal ini terbit dua kali dalam satu tahun, yaitu pada bulan Januari dan Juli.

Abstract

The Namblong language is one of the endangered languages. The language is located in Jayapura Regency and has been in contact with speakers of other languages for a long time. Many speakers are not fluent in the language. Many of the older and younger generations have switched to using Papuan Malay in their daily speech. This study aims to describe the existence of the Namblong language and the factors that influence language shift. The approach of this research is sociolinguistic. Data collection methods used observation, interviews and questionnaires. Data analysis method is inductive method. The location of this research is in eleven villages, namely Sermai Atas, Samaikrang, Imsetum, Sermai Bawah, Imeno, Kaitemung, Benyom, Kuimeno, Meyu, Yakotim, and Genyem Besar. The causes of the Namblong language shift are divided into two, namely linguistic and non-linguistic factors. Linguistic factors, namely the namblong language is a spoken language, the duration of the use of Indonesian/Malay is more than the namblong language, the namblong language has become a passive language, and the narrative of namblong is accustomed to the structure of Indonesian/Malay so that it interferes with language, translating code, and mix code. Non-linguistic factors are socio-cultural factors, geography, politics, economy, religion, and education. Key words : existence, Namblong, shifting, Jayapura Regency

Abstract

Language expressions from time to time are increasingly used in various industrial fields, one of which is used in advertising speech on Youtube media. The use of speech in advertising is often used for media promotion to consumers. The utterances in advertisements are not only ordinary utterances that are spoken, one of the speech acts is found, namely illocutionary speech acts. This study was made with the aim of describing the forms of illocutionary speech acts contained in advertisements and describing the types of speech acts either directly or indirectly in the video Matahari: Feel Good When We Complete Each Other. This study classifies the illocutionary speech acts in the video as processed data. Researchers used qualitative-descriptive research methods. The technique used is the free-of-conversation listening technique. After being listened to, the source of the data obtained is recorded and classified based on the type and form of speech. The data obtained show that, the types of illocutionary speech acts in the advertisement are Assertive speech acts with a total of 2 utterances that read the same, Expressive with 4 utterances with 3 utterances of gratitude and the rest congratulating, and Directive speech acts with a total of 3 utterances. , while commissive and declarative speech acts were not found. Meanwhile, the form of direct speech found is 7 utterances and indirect speech is 1 utterance which belongs to the directive question speech act. Based on the results of these data, expressive and directive illocutionary speech acts are fairly dominant compared to the others. The form of direct speech also dominates the speech, this indicates that the speech delivered is made so that the speech partner easily understands the meaning conveyed by the speaker.

Abstract

Eyang Djoego bernama asli Kanjeng Kyai Zakaria II atau Thay Lo Su artinya Kyai Guru Tua adalah seorang ulama keraton Mataram. Sedangkan R.M. Iman Soedjono atau Djie Lo Su artinya Guru yang kedua. Ketika wafat beliau dimakamkan di pasarean Gunung Kawi. Jasanya selalu terkenang oleh masyarakat Kesamben Blitar dan masyarakat Gunung Kawi. Meskipun sudah meninggal tetapi masih banyak dikenang akan kebaikan dan ajaran-ajaran budi pekerti luhurnya. Ajaran-ajaran itu masih diterapkan oleh masyarakat Kesamben Blitar maupun Gunung Kawi sampai dengan sekarang. Eyang Djoego dan R.M. Iman Soedjono telah mengajarkan berbagi hal yang bermanfaat kepada masyarakat sehingga  membangun adanya pendidikan karakter yang dapat  diterapkan. Untuk mengkaji tauladan yang diajarkan Eyang Djoego sebagai pendidikan karakter digunakan rancangan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya tauladan Eyang Djoego sebagai guru tua dapat digugu dan ditiru untuk dijadikan sebagai penanaman pendidikan karakter. Pendidikan karakter yang menjadi suri tauladan dari Eyang Djoego, antara lain mengajarkan sopan santun, berbagi sesama, tolong-menolong, kerukunan dan kebersamaan, dan kejujuran.

Abstract

The emergence of several problems in learning persuasive speech materials creates its own challenges for teachers, especially when Distance Learning (PJJ) takes place. Distance Learning (PJJ) has been in place since the coronavirus spread in Indonesia, precisely in March 2020. This research was conducted when PJJ took place at SMPN 10 Malang with the research subjects of all 9H grade students numbering 30 students. The purpose of this study is to find out the results of the implementation of the Quizizz application on persuasive speech text learning. The approach used in this study is the quantitative approach. Research data is obtained from the process of conducting tests, spreading questionnaires, conducting observations, and interviews. The collected data is then processed by doing various calculations including the calculation of the validity of the problem item, the reliability of the problem, the different power of the problem, the difficulty level of the problem, and also the percentage calculation of the spread of the questionnaire. The SPSS application was also used in the study to measure the accuracy of the data. The results of this study revealed that (1) positive responses from students while learning using Quizizz, (2) Quizizz applications can increase student learning interest, (3) increase student achievement outcomes. Based on the results of the spread of questionnaires that state that 70% of students agree or are happy when learning to use the Quizizz application.Overall, the results explained that ninth graders felt more excited and experienced increased grades when using the Quizizz application during PJJ.

Abstract

Latar yang selalu ditampilkan dalam novel Lho yaitu jalan raya dan tokoh “Aku” yang tidak memiliki identitas merupakan dua hal yang tepat untuk menampilkan aspek keterasingan manusia. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan bagaimana wujud alienasi pada tokoh “Aku” dalam novel Lho. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskriptif dengan pendekatan sosiologi sastra. Penelitian ini berusaha mendeskripsikan aspek-aspek sosial pada data yang terdapat dalam novel Lho karya Putu Wijaya. Data dalam penelitian ini berupa kutipan narasi dan dialog dalam novel Lho karya Putu Wijaya Sumber data dalam penelitian ini, yaitu novel yang berjudul Lho karya Putu Wijaya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ada tiga wujud alienasi tokoh “Aku”. Pertama alienasi dalam wujud kesepian, alienasi dalam wujud kekosongan jiwa, dan alienasi dalam wujud kecemasan. Alienasi dalam wujud kekosongan jiwa menjadi alienasi yang sering menyerang tokoh “Aku” dalam novel Lho. Hal ini banyak disebabkan oleh krisis identitas dalam diri tokoh “Aku”.

Abstract

Tulisan ini bertujuan untuk mengonsep dan mendeskripsikan desain pembelajaran mata kuliah Teori Sastra pada program studi Pendidikan Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia di kampus wilayah perbatasan NKRI-RDTL dengan menggunakan model Project Based Learning dan Problem Based Learning berbasis pendidikan karakter. Salah satu kampus yang berada di wilayah perbatasan NKRI-RDTL adalah kampus Universitas Timor (Unimor). Pada program studi ini, Teori Sastra merupakan mata kuliah rumpun susastra yang sifatnya wajib bersyarat diprogram oleh mahasiswa semester dua dengan bobot 3 SKS. Melalui paradigma etik-emik bersettingkan wilayah perbatasan NKRI-RDTL, maka tulisan ini disajikan dengan menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Banyak problema dan kendala yang ditemukan dalam praktik pembelajaran mata kuliah ini, khususnya untuk mahasiswa yang berada di wilayah perbatasan NKRI-RDTL. Oleh karena itu, desain pembelajaran dengan model kekinian harus dikonsep, digali, dan dieksplorasi lebih lanjut, sehingga capaian pembelajaran mata kuliah ini dapat terpenuhi dengan efektif, optimal, dan maksimal. Mahasiswa pun menjadi semakin semangat belajarnya dan cinta dengan mata kuliah ini. Secara umum, model pembelajaran yang digunakan ini bukanlah produk baru. Tetapi bagi mahasiswa di wilayah perbatasan NKRI-RDTL, model ini merupakan produk baru yang belum pernah diaplikasikan di kampusnya, bersifat inovatif, kreatif, menyenangkan, dan dapat dikolaborasikan dengan berbagai model pembelajaran lain yang relevan dengan zamannya serta fokus bahasan yang menjadi bahan kajiannya. Apalagi, model pembelajarannya diimbangi dengan nilai-nilai pendidikan karakter di dalam praktik dan implementasinya, mulai dari nilai religiositas, nasionalisme, kemandirian, gotong royong, dan integritas.Kata Kunci: desain pembelajaran, Teori Sastra, project based learning, problem based learning, wilayah perbatasan, pendidikan karakter

Abstract

This study aims to reveal Malang Banjarese’s young generation foreigner knowledge on Borneo flora fauna lexical and it’s used in terms of phonology and grammatical. An instrument in this research is a questionnaire that contains flora fauna lexical from Banjarese literature. The literature is folklore, folksong, rhyme, proverb, and poetry. There are 60 subjects taken based on specific criteria. Interviews were conducted to 10 persons. In addition, focus group discussion is held to reveal some data that may not be revealed through the questionnaire. The research results show that Banjarese’s young generation knowledge on Borneo flora and fauna lexical is dominant in “very low” prologue. On the other side, there’s phonological process found in bidawang lexical as sound substitution and neutralization so it’s turned into pidawang, didawang, and di gawang. Di gawang pronunciation changes the meaning from ‘animal’ to ‘wicket’. This is caused by deforestation that makes the younger generation of Banjarese’s doesn’t know that bidawang is an animal because this animal can’t be found in the wild. On the other hand, there’s a gap in this study (research gap) as this research does not provide all the young generation of Banjarese’s in early adolescence or young generations of Banjarese’s that weren’t going overseas or have a different background. Hence, this study can be developed by widening the scope of the research subject (in this case the young generation of Banjarese’s).

Abstract

To train student's speaking skills can be done through Bahasa Indonesia subject, which is by conveying ideas in persuasive speeches orally. It is necessary to support the subject by using a learning media such as Flipgrid. This media features short videos and discussion rooms to make studying more interesting and interactive. This media can motivate students to study deftly as well as hone their speaking skills. The purpose of this study was to determine the learning process and students’s speaking skills in persuasive speeches using Flipgrid. This research uses a qualitative descriptive approach with a case study research type. The subjects were 9th grade students of SMP Negeri 10 Malang, totaling 59 students. The research instruments are questionnaires, observation guidelines, test grids, and assessment rubrics. The results found that in the learning process using Flipgrid had a positive and negative impact on students. The positive impact makes learning more interactive and interesting. Meanwhile, the negative impact hinders the learning process because students do not have adequate laptops or phones to access the media. Then the results found in the students's speaking skills that as many as 20 students were at the very good qualification level, as many as 14 students were at the good qualification level, and no students were at the sufficient or less qualification level. From these results it was found that by persuasive speeches can hone students's learning skills so that they become confident, fully prepared, and fluent in speaking in front of many people

Abstract

ABSTRACTThe ability to write rhyming poetry is one of the studies that describes the ability to write poetry using the poetry rhyme method. This is important because based on observations, students' poetry writing skills are considered lacking. This study aims to determine: 1) the ability to write rhyming poetry in class X SMA Brawijaya Smart School Malang in terms of sound; 2) the ability to write rhyming poetry for students of class X SMA Brawijaya Smart School Malang in terms of word position. The design used in this research is descriptive quantitative which describes the variables in the form of numbers or statistics obtained from the results of a written test which is a description of the ability of class X students of SMA Brawijaya Smart School Malang in writing a rhyming poem. The data in this study were analyzed through five stages, namely data, data identification, data classification, data analysis, and drawing conclusions. The results of data processing in this study enjoyed that the ability of class X students of SMA Brawijaya Smart School Malang in writing rhyming poetry was sufficient. Based on the results of data processing, it appears that the test results of class X students of SMA Brawijaya Smart School Malang in writing rhyming poetry are in the good category with an average value of 88.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the phonological acquisition of 4 years old child with the initials YWA and the factors that influence of YWA’s phonological acquisition. This research is a qualitative descriptive type. The data collection method used in this research is observation method and conversation method. The observation method is realized with the basic tapping technique and advanced observation of involved conversation technique and taking note technique. The conversation method is realized with the basic stimulation technique and advanced face to face technique. The data analysis method used in this research is matching method with the basic sort determinant elements technique and advanced comparison equalize and differentiate techniques. The method of presenting a result of data analysis used in this research is a formal and informal method. The result of data analysis show that at the 4 years old, YWA’s able to pronounce vocoid phons [i], [I], [e], [«], [a], [u], [U],  [o], [¿], and [\] and contoid phons [p], [b], [t], [d], [k], [g], [Ö], [c], [j], [s], [z], [h], [m], [n], [÷], [w], [y], [q], [r], and [v]. Contoid phons [f], [l], and [n~] is able to pronounce. But at the certain of vocabulary, those phons hasn’t been able to be pronounce correctly. The factors that influence of YWA’s phonological acquisition is consist of physical readiness, mental readiness, imitation, opportunities to train and practice, motivation, guidance, and phon closeness. Keywords: psycholinguistics, language acquisition, phonological acquisition
