Abstract

This research aimed to explain the online video, ?Sexy Killers?, to build a way of thinking in society. The problem of this research limited to the role of online video in conveying messages that could build positivity in the community. It had a focus on how much the impact of online video could affect the way of thinking in society by using online video ?Sexy Killers? and looked at the responses of the audience?s comments after receiving the message contained in this video. The method used in the research was a qualitative method documentation that the researcher would document any opinion in column comments by giving the right impression that had obtained positive (build) and negative. The results of this research are the video ?Sexy Killers? has succeeded in design online video recommendations that can build a way of thinking in a society that has a positive impact.

Abstract

This research aimed at examining ways by which Madurese women could achieve satisfaction in early marriage. This research used a qualitative research method with an interpretative phenomenological analysis (IPA). To understand the meaning of one?s experience by looking for themes from available data, IPA rested on three pillars, namely phenomenology, hermeneutics, and idiography. In this research, the researchers used semi-structured interviews to collect data and purposive homogeneous sampling. The participants involved were three married women under 18 years old who were living in Madura. The results of the research show that the three women are satisfied in their marriage. The satisfaction of their marriage can be seen from taking care of each other when sick, giving her enough money, and always happy with her husband, not far apart. Furthermore, Madurese women dissatisfaction in her marriage can be seen from anger if she is not given money and is not helped in doing household.

Abstract

The research aimed to find out the intrinsic meaning and pragmatic interests of the concept of Compulsory Company Manpower Report (CCMR) and how the principle basis of Law Number 7 Year 1981 affected philosophical validity in realizing industrial relation in accordance with Pancasila. The research applied a qualitative method with textual analysis. The media of research was CCMR, which was one of the minimum macro aspects (work norm) in labor inspection as regulated in Law Number 7 Year 1981 aiming to implement the policy of work opportunity expansion and work protection as mandated by Article 27 paragraph (1) of the 1945 Constitution. The results report the conditions of employment within a company having historical and meaningful substances as the 1945 Constitution states the existence of equality in law and government for every citizen, and each citizen shall uphold the law and government as a manifestation of an active role of citizenship. The applicability of a positive norm cannot be separated from its juridical, sociological, and philosophical requirements. Many opinions reveal that CCMR is only for operational administrative fulfillment. Meanwhile, there is a philosophical basis of CCMR that reaches to the idea about conceptions in work opportunity and labor protection to realize harmonious, dynamic, and fair industrial relations in accordance with Pancasila.

Abstract

The problem in this research derived from the fact that many Lasem batik entrepreneurs nowadays had limited knowledge of the novel characteristics of Lasem batik and hardly aware of its geographical indication. The research objective was to identify how the cultural hybridity of Chinese-Javanese culture and Lasem geographical environment were reflected by both the Tionghoa Peranakan-descent and Javanese-descent artists through the visual signs in the batik design. The purposive samples used were 21 Lasem batik motifs made by Tionghoa Peranakan-descent and Javanese-descent entrepreneurs which already IPR-certified. The method used was a compositional interpretation by interpreting each batik motif composition according to its content (subject matter), color, spatial organization, and expressive content (the combined effect of subject matter and visual form). The finding reveals that Lasem visual style hybridity is generally visible in: (1) the use of Chinese subject matter combined with Javanese motifs, (2) the use of Chinese subject matter combined with local Javanese isen-isen (texture), and (3) the rich use of red (from Chinese batik visual style) combined with brown (from Javanese batik visual style). This finding can be used as a reference guide for latter Lasem batik entrepreneurs to maintain the particular characteristics of Lasem batik while developing other batik motifs innovation.

Abstract

This research aimed to investigate the predictive validity of perceived supervisor support and servant leadership on voluntary turnover. Data were taken from employees and ex-employees of five batches of the development program in a company in Jakarta, Indonesia (N = 92). The data were analyzed using a logistic regression technique on Statistical Packages for Social Sciences (SPSS) software. The results show that both perceived supervisor support and servant leadership are negatively related to voluntary turnover. The servant leadership accounts for more variance on voluntary turnover and perceived supervisor support. The theoretical and practical implications of the findings are further discussed.

Abstract

The research discussed Subjective well-being (SWB) with reminiscence therapy in the elderly. This research used a single-case experiment design to examine the effectiveness of reminiscence therapy in improving the well-being of active, elderly aged 70 years old and over. There were two participants in this research, one male and one female. This intervention consisted of five meetings held once a week for ±90 minutes each session. Quantitative analysis using the Oxford Happiness Questionnaire and qualitative analysis through observation and interviews showed an improvement in participants? subjective well-being following the intervention. Therefore, the results of this research are likely that reminiscence therapy is effective in improving the subjective well-being of elderly individuals.
