Abstract

Multi Point Relays (MPRs) are those nodes that are calculated and determined by the Optimized Link State Routing protocol (OLSR) in order to minimize and avoid overload inside the Mobile Ad hoc Network (MANET). In this paper, we will present a synthetic study of many techniques and methods for calculating and selecting the MPR nodes using a set of criteria namely energy, mobility, bandwidth, the quality of links, etc. The result of this study shows that most techniques consider a limited number of metrics for selecting the MPR nodes and therefore they are insufficient to allow the OLSR protocol to be quite complete and efficient because several metrics can occur at the same time in the real execution environment.

Abstract

The issue of brain magnetic resonance image exploration together with classification receives a significant awareness in recent years. Indeed, various computer-aided-diagnosis solutions were suggested to support radiologist in decision-making. In this circumstance, adequate image classification is extremely required as it is the most common critical brain tumors which often develop from subdural hematoma cells, which might be common type in adults. In healthcare milieu, brain MRIs are intended for identification of tumor. In this regard, various computerized diagnosis systems were suggested to help medical professionals in clinical decision-making. As per recent problems, Neuroendoscopy is the gold standard intended for discovering brain tumors; nevertheless, typical Neuroendoscopy can certainly overlook ripped growths. Neuroendoscopy is a minimally-invasive surgical procedure in which the neurosurgeon removes the tumor through small holes in the skull or through the mouth or nose. Neuroendoscopy enables neurosurgeons to access areas of the brain that cannot be reached with traditional surgery to remove the tumor without cutting or harming other parts of the skull. We focused on finding out whether or not visual images of tumor ripped lesions ended up being much better by auto fluorescence image resolution as well as narrow-band image resolution graphic evaluation jointly with the latest neuroendoscopy technique. Also, within the last several years, pathology labs began to proceed in the direction of an entirely digital workflow, using the electronic slides currently being the key element of this technique. Besides lots of benefits regarding storage as well as exploring capabilities with the image information, among the benefits of electronic slides is that they can help the application of image analysis approaches which seek to develop quantitative attributes to assist pathologists in their work. However, systems also have some difficulties in execution and handling. Hence, such conventional method needs automation. We developed and employed to look for the targeted importance along with uncovering the best-focused graphic position by way of aliasing search method incorporated with new Neuroendoscopy Adapter Module (NAM) technique.

Abstract

The objective of the study is to find out the factors which affect the acceptance of E-learning among students and how the students’ purpose of using E-learning is determined by these factors. The research was based on the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM). The researcher developed a questionnaire to gather data from a sample of 366 university students who actively used the E-learning system. According to the results of the study, subjective norms, perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, enjoyment, and accessibility” are the vital predictors behind the intention of students for using E-learning systems. This indicates that extended TAM is applicable in the UAE. The results show that policymakers and education developers should take E-learning system seriously since it can be opted not just as a technological solution but also as a learning platform for students belonging to a distant area. The results present practical implications for education developers, policymakers and practitioners in devising useful plans to implement E-learning systems.

Abstract

This paper examines single input single output (SISO) chattering free variable structure control (VSC) which controller coefficient is on-line tuned by fuzzy backstepping algorithm. VSC methodology is selected as a framework to construct the control law and address the stability and robustness of the close loop system based on Lyapunove formulation. The main goal is to guarantee acceptable fuel ratio result and adjust. The proposed approach effectively combines the design technique from variable structure controller is based on Lyapunov and fuzzy estimator to estimate the nonlinearity of undefined system dynamic in backstepping controller. The input represents the function between variable structure function, error and the rate of error. The outputs represent fuel ratio, respectively. The fuzzy backstepping methodology is on-line tune the variable structure function based on adaptive methodology. The performance of the SISO VSC which controller coefficient is on-line tuned by fuzzy backstepping algorithm (FBSAVSC) is validated through comparison with VSC and proposed method. Simulation results signify good performance of trajectory in presence of uncertainty torque load. DOI:http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/ijece.v3i2.2092

Abstract

Testing embedded systems must be done carefully particularly in the significant regions of the embedded systems. Inputs from an embedded system can happen in multiple order and many relationships can exist among the input sequences. Consideration of the sequences and the relationships among the sequences is one of the most important considerations that must be tested to find the expected behavior of the embedded systems. On the other hand combinatorial approaches help determining fewer test cases that are quite enough to test the embedded systems exhaustively. In this paper, an Optimal Mining Technique that considers multi-input domain which is based on built-in combinatorial approaches has been presented. The method exploits multi-input sequences and the relationships that exist among multi-input vectors. The technique has been used for testing an embedded system that monitors and controls the temperature within the Nuclear reactors.

Abstract

High resolution 4K and 8K are becoming the more used in video applications. Those resolutions are well supported in the new HEVC standard. Thus, embedded solutions such as development of dedicated ystems-On-Chips (SOC) to accelerate video processing on one chip instead of only software solutions are commendable. This paper proposes a novel parallel and high efficient hardware accelerator for the intra prediction block. This accelerator achieves a high-speed treatment due to pipelined processing units and parallel shaped architecture. The complexity of memory access is also reduced thanks to the proposed design with less increased power consumption. The implementation was performed on the 7 Series FPGA 28 nm technology resources on Zynq-7000 and results show, that the proposed architecture takes 16520 LUTs and can reach 143.65 MHz as a maximum frequency and it is able to support the throughput of 3840×2160 sequence at 90 frames per second.

Abstract

The output of research in the form of a proceeding published through a national seminar or an international conference has become a routine activity performed by lecturers as a researcher. The escalating atmosphere of disseminating the results of a study is directly proportional to the increasing number of universities, associations, or non-educational institutions organizing either a national seminar or an international conference. Each seminar organizer posts their seminar relevant information through official sites released by each organizer. However, to date, there has never been storage that can compile all the information pertinent to all national seminars held in Indonesia. This situation has resulted in the search done by search engines such as Google, Yahoo Search, Bing and others have not been efficient nor effective. Design of a web-based national seminar alert system is built to address this issue. This information system can display all the seminars held in Indonesia in the current year in storage and can be broken down based on the choices of topic, location, and date. Other additional facilities are that the application can send email messages to the application users as an early warning on the upcoming national seminar. Researchers can track each existing national seminar and always up-to-date on the most current national seminar.

Abstract

In the mobile phone system, it is highly desirable to estimate the loss of the track not only to improve performance but also to achieve an accurate estimate of financial feasibility; the inaccurate estimate of track loss either leads to performance degradation or increased cost. Various models have been introduced to accurately estimate the path loss. One of these models is the Okomura / Hata model, which is recommended for estimating path loss in cellular systems that use micro cells. This system is suitable for use in a variety of environments. This study examines the comparison of path loss models for statistical analysis derived from experimental data collected in urban and suburban areas at frequencies of 150-1500 MHz’s The results of the measurements were used to develop path loss models in urban and suburban areas. The results showed that Pathloss increases in urban areas respectively.

Abstract

The main purpose of this research is developing methods and models of decision-making to assess the stock market state, and predict the possible changes in the RTS index value. This article shows that the analytical models for assessing the stock market state do not give reliable results. The absence of the reliable estimates associated with the high degree of uncertainty, random, nonlinear and non-stationary process with a significant degree of aftereffect. In this paper, to formalize the securities market parameters it’s proposed the fuzzy sets method. To assess the stock market current state and make decisions the fuzzy situational analysis model (situational model) is applied. The analytical prediction results of the stock market and graph of the RTS index expected return changes in 2014-2016 are showed. The model of calculating the fuzzy inference rules truth degree to predict the RTS index is developed. The market parameters linguistic definition is given and the expert’s rules construction to predict the RTS index growth is shown. The program in Matlab environment is designed to perform research. The study result showed that the model allows for the RTS index prediction in the condition of incomplete initial data with a confidence level about 90%.
