Abstract

Improvements in technological innovations have become a boon for business organizations, firms, institutions, etc. System applications are being developed for organizations whether small-scale or large-scale. Taking into consideration the hierarchical nature of large organizations, security is an important factor which needs to be taken into account. For any healthcare organization, maintaining the confidentiality and integrity of the patients’ records is of utmost importance while ensuring that they are only available to the authorized personnel. The paper discusses the technique of Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) and its different aspects. The paper also suggests a trust enhanced model of RBAC implemented with selection and mutation only ‘Genetic Algorithm’. A practical scenario involving healthcare organization has also been considered. A model has been developed to consider the policies of different health departments and how it affects the permissions of a particular role. The purpose of the algorithm is to allocate tasks for every employee in an automated manner and ensures that they are not over-burdened with the work assigned. In addition, the trust records of the employees ensure that malicious users do not gain access to confidential patient data.

Abstract

Sentiment analysis is the pre-eminent technology to extract the relevant information from the data domain. In this paper cross domain sentimental classification approach Cross_BOMEST is proposed. Proposed approach will extract †ve words using existing BOMEST technique, with the help of Ms Word Introp, Cross_BOMEST determines †ve words and replaces all its synonyms to escalate the polarity and blends two different domains and detects all the self-sufficient words. Proposed Algorithm is executed on Amazon datasets where two different domains are trained to analyze sentiments of the reviews of the other remaining domain. Proposed approach contributes propitious results in the cross domain analysis and accuracy of 92 % is obtained. Precision and Recall of BOMEST is improved by 16% and 7% respectively by the Cross_BOMEST.

Abstract

This article presents a system focused on the detection of three types of abnormal walk patterns caused by neurological diseases, specifically Parkinsonian gait, Hemiplegic gait, and Spastic Diplegic gait. A Kinect sensor is used to extract the Skeleton from a person during its walk, to then calculate four types of bases that generate different sequences from the 25 points of articulations that the Skeleton gives. For each type of calculated base, a recurrent neural network (RNN) is trained, specifically a Long short-term memory (LSTM). In addition, there is a graphical user interface that allows the acquisition, training, and testing of trained networks. Of the four trained networks, 98.1% accuracy is obtained with the database that was calculated with the distance of each point provided by the Skeleton to the Hip-Center point.

Abstract

This paper studies the global asymptotic stability and the tracking control problem of an uncertain non stationary continuous system described by the multiple model approach. It is based on the construction of a basis of models containing four extreme models and possibility of addition of an average model. Once the basis of models is generated, an operation of fusion of these different models is made to the level of the elementary control law and the partial output using the geometric method. New sufficient conditions for the stability are derived via Lyapunov technique. The matrices of feedback gains and tracking gains are determined while solving systems of LMI constraints (Linear Matrix Inequalities). The case of an unstable continuous nonlinear model of electrical circuit operating in pseudo-periodic system is considered to illustrate the proposed approach.

Abstract

A maniac computer game genre called "Survival Horror Games‟ is aimed for making gamers feel cathartic feeling when they escaped from the designed horror successfully. The degree of gaming quality, however, is not easy to measure. In this paper, we apply Caillois‟ game playing categories and other standards to measure how a game induces the feeling of fear and other emotional experience to players. Once dominated horror survival game series called Panic Room: Escaping from the Den was chosen to analyze and evaluate with those standards as well as its narratives and subsystems. Especially the 2nd version was most welcomed to users among 4 versions thus we focused on the difference between the version 1 and the version 2 in terms of game playing and fear elements in the game content and story structure. In result, version 2 showed much more Agon and Mimicry and all other fear elements than version 1. The group image playing structure and conference/collection subsystem that were newly provided to version 2 were attributed to its success.

Abstract

Soccer video processing and analysis to find critical events such as occurrences of goal event have been one of the important issues and topics of active researches in recent years. In this paper, a new role-based framework is proposed for goal event detection in which the semantic structure of soccer game is used. Usually after a goal scene, the audiences’ and reporters’ sound intensity is increased, ball is sent back to the center and the camera may: zoom on Player, show audiences’ delighting, repeat the goal scene or display a combination of them. Thus, the occurrence of goal event will be detectable by analysis of sequences of above roles. The proposed framework in this paper consists of four main procedures: 1- detection of game’s critical events by using audio channel, 2- detection of shot boundary and shots classification, 3- selection of candidate events according to the type of shot and existence of goalmouth in the shot, 4- detection of restarting the game from the center of the field. A new method for shot classification is also presented in this framework. Finally, by applying the proposed method it was shown that the goal events detection has a good accuracy and the percentage of detection failure is also very low.DOI:http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/ijece.v4i6.6377

Abstract

Business decisions for any service or product depend on sentiments by people. We get these sentiments or rating on social websites like twitter, kaggle.  The mood of people towards any event, service and product are expressed in these sentiments or rating. The text of sentiment contains different linguistic features of sentence. A sentiment sentence also contains other features which are playing a vital role in deciding the polarity of sentiments. If features selection is proper one can extract better sentiments for decision making. A directed preprocessing will feed filtered input to any machine learning approach. Feature based collaborative filtering can be used for better sentiment analysis. Better use of parts of speech (POS) followed by guided preprocessing and evaluation will minimize error for sentiment polarity and hence the better recommendation to the user for business analytics can be attained.

Abstract

Image segmentation takes a major role to analyzing the area of interest in image processing. Many researchers have used different types of techniques to analyzing the image. One of the widely used techniques is K-means clustering. In this paper we use two algorithms K-means and the advance of K-means is called as adaptive K-means clustering. Both the algorithms are using in different types of image and got a successful result. By comparing the Time period, PSNR and RMSE value from the result of both algorithms we prove that the Adaptive K-means clustering algorithm gives a best result as compard to K-means clustering in image segmentation.

Abstract

Load flow studies are one of the most important aspects of power system planning and operation. The main information obtained from this study comprises the magnitudes and phase angles of load bus voltages, reactive powers at generators buses, real and reactive power flow on transmission lines, other variables being known. To solve the problem of load flow, we use the iterative method, of Newton-Raphson. Analysis of the found results using numerical method programmed on the Matlab software and PSS/E Simulator lead us to seek means of controlling the reactive powers and the bus voltages of the Nouakchott power grid in 2030 year. In our case, we projected the demand forecast at 2015 to 2030 years. To solve the growing demand we injected the power plants in the system firstly and secondly when the production and energy demand are difficult to match due to lack of energy infrastructures in 2030.It is proposed to install a FACTS (Flexible Alternative Current Transmission Systems) system at these buses to compensate or provide reactive power in order to maintain a better voltage profile and transmit more power to customers.

Abstract

This paper revolves around the reduction of a number of switches and the sources for a multilevel inverter, for this, we have proposed a transformer-based topology which has helped us in reducing the number of switches from twenty-four to sixteen and also in the reduction of sources from eight to one. The circuit consists of two H-Bridges which are coupled by a single-phase transformer, the topology gives us a liberty of changing the number of levels in accordance to the number of turns in the secondary side of the transformer for example if our ratio is 1:1 the number of levels will be five subsequently if it is changed to 1:2 the number of levels will be changed to seven. As the number of switches is reduced the size and complexity of the circuit is also decreased. In order to improve on the part of switching efficiency, we have used space vector pulse width modulation which is a better method as compared to its counterpart switching methods such as sinusoidal pulse width modulation and multiple pulse width modulation techniques.
