Abstract

The objective of the research is to find out the relationship between knowledge of sustainable development, emphaty, and commitment toward environment with development program partisipants responsibility of environmental preservation. The sampel of this research were 73 persons which randomly taken. The data were analyzed by using regression and correlation techicques. Findings of the research concluded: 1) there is positive correlation between knowledge of the sustainable development with development program partisipants responsibility of environment preservation, 2) there is positive correlation between emphaty with development program partisipants responsibility of environment preservation, 3) there is positive correlation between commitment toward environment with development program partisipants responsibility of environmental preservation, and furthermore 4) there are correlation between knowledge of the sustainable development, emphaty, and commitment toward environment with development program partisipants responsibility of environmental preservation. Based on this development program partisipants result of responsibility of environmental preservation enhanced by increasing knowledge of the sustainable development, emphaty, and commitment toward environment.

Abstract

The purpose of this research to determine the relationship between indigenous knowledge, attitudes toward the environment, and motivation in keeping marine environment with the participation of youth in the natural resources conservation of marine and coastal. The research was conducted at Cibalong Coastal Village, Garut Selatan, 2009. with n = 170 selected randomly.The research findings are as follow: (1) there is positive correlation between of indigenous knowledge with the participation of youth in the natural resources conservation of marine and coastal, (2) there is positive correlation between attitudes toward the environment with the participation of youth in the natural resources conservation of marine and coastal, (3) there is positive correlation between of motivation in keeping marine environment with the participation of youth in the natural resources conservation of marine and coastal, and (4) there is positive correlation between of indigenous knowledge, attitudes toward the environment, and motivation in keeping marine environment with the participation of youth in the natural resources conservation of marine and coastal.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of counseling strategies and levels of socio economic status of knowledge about the conservation of coastal fishermen. The method used in this study is an experiment with 2 x 2 factorial design. The study population was fishing in the District of West Telukbetung, Bandar Lampung numbered 32 people. Data analysis technique used is the Two-Way Analysis of Variance followed by Tukkey test. The findings of this study include: 1) Knowledge of the conservation of coastal areas that follow the strategy of grouping extension is higher than that following the classical extension strategy.; 2) For the fisherman with high level of social economic status with knowledge about coastal conservation among groups of fishermen who follow counseling strategies and follow the strategy of grouping classical education. Where the higher is the group of fishermen that high social economic status following the strategy of grouping extension; 3) For the fisherman with a low level of socio-economic status with knowledge about coastal conservation among groups of fishermen who follow the strategy of grouping extension and follow the classical extension strategy. Where the higher is the group of fishermen that low social economic status following the strategy of classical education, and 4) There is interaction effect between education strategy and the level of socio economic status of knowledge on coastal conservation. Based on these findings we can conclude that there is no extension strategies are most effective, depending on background characteristic fishermen and their socio economic status. Therefore, if the selected grouping strategy is appropriate only to fishermen who have a high socioeconomic status, education classical conversely, if the strategy is dominated by the lecture method is chosen, then it is just right for the fishermen who have low socioe conomic status.

Abstract

The objective of the research was aimed at finding out whether there is effect of the environmental education learning package and cognitive style on environmental problem solving skills. This research conducted was exsperiment methode. The target of population is the students at the Mathematics and Natural Sciences at the State University of Jakarta. Then accessible of population is Department of Chemistry and take it by randomly (n=40).The research came five conclusions are follow: the first, as a whole the ability of students problem-solving learning environment in an integrated package of environmental education is high than the monolithic environmental education learning package; the second, the ability of students problem-solving learning environment in field independent style cognitive is not high than the field dependent style cognitive; the third, interaction effect between learning and cognitive styles environmental education package; the fourth, the ability of students to solve environmental problems based on cognitive style of field dependent on an integrated learning package environmental education lower than on learning environmental education monolithic package, and the five, there is the ability of students to solve environmental problems based on field independent cognitive styles in an integrated learning package environmental education is high than on learning environmental education monolithic package.

Abstract

The objective of this study is to identify whether the results that want to be achieved by implementing the Minister’s Decision no 380/2005 and Minister’s decision no 297/2007 regarding government’s policy on organic food authority has been achieved? Methods that has been applied is multi-method, with a consideration that the need for data n data analysis could fulfill the research questions. Policy research is combines a number of different research methods”. This study was 5 at the Ministry of Agriculture, Jakarta, Tasik, Yogyakarta, Sragen, Lombok Barat, Organic Sertification Insitution, and farmers groups. Organic Food Competent Authority has successfully laid down four fundamental aspects for organic farming development in Indonesia namely: policy, standard/ guidance for SNI 6729, human resource development, and accreditation of seven (7) organic certification institution. Currently, there are 15 companies that have successfully obtained organic certification with 13 kinds of commodity.

Abstract

Nationally, there are approximately 14% of people who do not consume iodized salt which has the effect on health and human intelligence so as to have an important impact on the quality of human resources of a country and impede the rate of HDI (Human Development Index). IDD effective countermeasures can be taken through the coverage of iodized salt consumption by increasing the production and distribution of iodized salt. Methods to achieve accelerated coverage of iodized salt consumption in the community is doing salt iodized in the center of people's salt, iodized salt quality monitoring in small, medium and large industries. In addition, the equitable distribution of iodized salt into the country through isolates areas.

Abstract

The objectives of this research are to determine the effect of teaching methods and naturalistic intelligence toward knowledge of student’s ecosystem concept. The research was accomplished at public elementry school and applied treatment by level 2x2 design. The samples of the research are the students of grade VI sub district Ciledug Tangerang with 80 samples taken by cluster random sampling. The result of this research showed: (1) Knowledge of the student’s ecosystem concept who are taught through experiential learning method higher than problem solving method, (2) There is interaction effect between teaching method and naturalistic intelligence toward knowledge of student’s ecosystem concept. (3) The student with high naturalistic intelligence, knowledge of student’s ecosystem concept between student who are thaught through problem solving method higher than experiential learning method , (4) The student with low naturalistic intelligence, knowledge of student’s ecosystem concept between student who are thaught through experiential learning method higher than problem solving method. Therefore, for achievement better result in improving student’s ecosystem concept, applying experiential learning method suggested.

Abstract

The objective of this research is to find out the effect of training methods and farmers knowledge of organic waste to farmers’ skills in formulating organic fertilizer. The research was conducted in Cihowe village subdistrict Ciseeng Bogor regency with a sample of 80 farmers by using an experiment of 2 x 2 factorial design.The result of the research show that : 1) Discussion method is higher than demonstration method to farmers’ skills in formulating organic fertilizer, 2) There is interaction effect between training methods and farmers’ knowledge of organic waste to their skills in formulating organic fertilizer,3) Farmers with high knowledge on organic waste, who are treated with discussion method is higher than demonstration method to farmer’s skills in formulating organic fertilizer, 4) There is no significant effect of discussion method and demonstration method for those farmers with low knowledge on organic waste to their skills in formulating organic fertilizer.

Abstract

The objective of this research is to describe, analyze and investigate of the farmer’s experience in landconservation. Fenomenology approach through data analyze, domain, analyze taxonomy, theme and componentialwere used in this research.The finding of research were (1) The farmer’s skill in land cultivation has not encouraged the farmers to beindependent in land conservation, (2) land conservation by the farmers doesn’t seen to be realized in simple way,and (3) land conservation by the farmers has not encouraged the farmers to realized the importance of the land.The conclusion of this research is that the farming conservation will be able to be implemented if thefarmer can change their orientation and habit of using land.

Abstract

and social stratification with community participation for improving the commmunity living environment, the data collected from 8 villages within Kecamatan Tarumajaya of Bekasi District and analysis conducted with regression and correlation analysis. The findings show up significant correlation between Intention (knowledge, belief, attitude, moral, and motive), self concept (social Identity, self esteem,) and Social stratification (social structure and sense of community) with community participation level the three components separately or all together forming community participation. Rapid development at Kecamatan Tarumajaya influence of social changing directly modifying of social stratification, self concept and Intention and by the end will changing of community participation level. as show up by the data collected. The policy and decision of environment Improvement program usually decided and driven from local government and the community only following up to implement without fully awareness, concern and social responsibility because they are still struggle to fulfill the basic need and improving quality of life.
