Abstract

Current environmental learning amid the COVID-19 new normal situation requires an innovation. This is due to students need various skills to solve environmental pollution issues using Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) and is implemented in the form of Pro-Environmental Behavior (PEB). The innovation is aimed at supporting e-learning utilization. This study aims to delineate university students’ HOTS and PEB and examine the e-learning utilization. Method used in the study is descriptive method using survey technique. Samples involved in the research are 265 university students. The study results indicate that the students’ HOTS score is, overall, in a very low category (31.37). The students’ PEB score, however, is already in a very high position (89.88) as a form to prevent COVID-19 in their surrounding environment. The result of e-learning description suggests that there are still some obstacles in terms of e-learning implementation. The research concludes that the HOTS score is relatively low, whereas the PEB score must be maintained. Suggestions proposed from this study is that to develop teaching materials or learning media, in this context book or supplementary book can be develop, related to environmental pollution as a disaster mitigation effort amid the COVID-19 new normal situation.

Abstract

The development of science and technology that caused by 21st century development, requires a globally qualified, reliable, and competitive human resources. One of the skills required in 21st century is scientific literacy. Scientific literacy is a skill to use knowledge, identify question, and take conclusion based of evidences for understanding and making decision about nature and changes done to nature by human activities. Scientific literacy in schools can be created and developed by environment utilization. Students observe and do simple scientific activities, they can directly interact and utilize the environment as learning material. By directly learning and observing in nature, scientific literacy learning can be optimalized. The aim of this research are to understand the implementation of scientific literacy learning by utilizing environment and knowing environment’s benefits in developing students’ scientific literacy skill. The methods used are literature review by analyzing sources related to this research. The results found by conducting a literature study showing that by utilizing the environment in scientific literacy learning, student learning outcomes increased. Students are active in learning activities and better understand the scientific literacy learning because it is close to the surrounding environment. It can be concluded that the use of the environment is appropriate for scientific literacy learning.

Abstract

Corona Virus Diseases (Covid-19) has become an epidemic in Indonesia and even has become a global pandemic in 2020. Various impacts of Covid-19 is one of them changes learning strategy. One of them is the change from conventional learning to internet-based learning or electronic learning (e-learning). The purpose of this study was to describe the e-learning in natural science and environmental learning during the Covid-19 outbreak. The research method used descriptive method and data collection techniques using a survey through Google Form. The study was conducted during March 2020 in Bekasi city and Bandung city, when the Covid-19 outbreak began in Indonesia. The results of this study indicate that there are many limitations. Findings showed that Whatsapp was the highest e-learning media (65.54%). Related to the biggest obstacle is about internet quota in a cellular phone (27.03%). Then students think the video (35.14%) was the best type of file to be shared in e-learning. Then the majority of students (54.73%) thought that the most effective duration for e-learning was 2-3 hours. The results of this study indicate that e-learning was not yet perfect and needs to be improved. The conclusion of this study was e-learning needs to be improved and need innovation.

Abstract

Environmental learning in the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic requires 21st-Century learning innovation which promotes Higher-Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) of which ILMIZI is the potential learning model. The purpose of this study was to measure the students’ HOTS using HOTS Assessment based on Environmental Problem of COVID-19 (HOTS-AEP-COVID-19) and describe the syntax of ILMIZI model for the implementation of e-learning during the COVID-19 pandemic. The research subjects used  were 172 senior high school students randomly selected from Bekasi City in several schools. The descriptive research used online survey as the data collection technique. The results showed that the students HOTS scores measured using HOTS-AEP-COVID-19 were still in very low category either for all students (22.83) or male students (21.32) and female students (23.82). Hence, the ILMIZI model need further evaluation to be implemented as an alternative for the 21st-Century environmental learning.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to find out how the application of learning with problem based learning (PBL) in influencing the character of hard work and student discipline through the material classification of living things. The method used in this study was class VII a number of 25 students in the Nusa Bhakti Junior High School in Depok City as objects in the natural science subject matter classification of living things. Data collection techniques using learning methods and questionnaires / questionnaires. The instrument test uses descriptive analysis, linearity test, homogeneity test and t-paired t-test. The results showed that the value of sig. (2-tailed) is 0.015 <0.05 (α = 5%) that there are differences in students' hard work before and after the use of PBL and sig. (2-tailed) 0.002 <0.05 (α = 5%) ie there are differences in student discipline before and after the use of PBL. Learning with problem based learning (PBL) can improve the character of students' hard work and discipline.

Abstract

Abstract. Indonesia is experiencing a demographic bonus, and a good education and health situation will determine the quality of human resources so that this situation does not turn into a demographic burden or disaster. The Indonesian Adolescent Reproductive Health Survey shows the in-depth knowledge of adolescents about puberty, whereas adolescence is a golden period that will determine the quality of the next generation. This study aims to get a picture of the perception of teachers and students in particular about puberty and its relation to religion. The approach used is qualitative, data collected by conducting in-depth interviews with teachers, parents, and students. There were ten informants, consisting of teachers, parents, and students from 2 public and religious-based elementary schools in North Jakarta. In general, teachers have low knowledge / understanding of puberty, as well as students' knowledge. Most teachers have the perception that education about puberty in the classroom, according to the curriculum, turns out to be too vulgar so that some information is not conveyed to students. Religion is considered as the most reliable foundation in shaping student behavior. Teachers tend to hand over responsibility to religious teachers to deliver material on puberty, at religiously-based schools specifically mentioned teachers of fiqh. Teacher capacity building is needed regarding the material that must be taught, and it is delivery methods to suit the needs of students and have an impact on improving knowledge and improving behavior.Abstrak. Indonesia sedang mengalami bonus demografi dan situasi pendidikan dan kesehatan yang baik sangat menentukan kualitas sumber daya insani agar situasi ini tidak berbalik menjadi beban atau bencana demografi. Survei Kesehatan Reproduksi Remaja Indonesia memperlihatkan rendahnya pengetahuan remaja tentang pubertas, padahal masa remaja merupakan periode emas yang akan menentukan kualitas generasi berikutnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan mendapatkan gambaran persepsi guru dan peserta didik di khususnya tentang pubertas dan kaitannya dengan agama. Pendekatan yang digunakan yaitu kualitatif, data dikumpulkan dengan melakukan wawancara mendalam kepada guru, orang tua, dan peserta didik. Jumlah informan 10 orang, terdiri dari guru, orang tua, dan peserta didik dari 2 sekolah dasar umum dan berbasis agama di Jakarta Utara. Secara umum guru memiliki pengetahuan/pemahaman yang rendah tentang pubertas, demikian pula pengetahuan peserta didik. Kebanyakan guru memiliki persepsi bahwa edukasi tentang pubertas di kelas sesuai kurikulum ternyata dianggap terlalu vulgar sehingga sebagian informasi tidak disampaikan kepada peserta didik. Agama dianggap sebagai landasan paling diandalkan dalam membentuk perilaku peserta didik. Guru cenderung menyerahkan tanggung jawab kepada guru agama untuk menyampaikan materi tentang pubertas, pada sekolah berbasis agama disebutkan secara spesifik guru fiqih. Dibutuhkan pengembangan kapasitas guru tentang materi yang harus diajarkan dan metode penyampaiannya agar sesuai dengan kebutuhan peserta didik dan berdampak terhadap peningkatan pengetahuan serta perbaikan perilaku.

Abstract

The study aimed to develop web-based learning media on colloidal system topic using wordpress CMS. It comes from challenges to make an attractive  learning system for students. The research method ADDIE model developed by Dick and Carrey. The research instrument was questionaires. This learning media had been validated by media experts, material experts, chemistry educators and field trials. The result showed that the learning media is valid and feasible to be used in teaching and learning activities on system colloid lessons. It is proven based on the average score which is converted in to good and very good categories according to the ideal assessment criteria. While the result of small group trial showed the average scores of 19 and 19.4 for aspects of learning material and 35.5 and 38.1 for aspects of appearance and operation are both categorized as a good category.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh media mobile learning dan kemampuan metakognitif terhadap keterampilan proses sains siswa pada materi asam basa. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SMA Negeri 48 Jakarta dengan sampel penelitian sebanyak 40 siswa yang terdiri dari 20 siswa yang memiliki kemampuan metakognitif tinggi dan 20 siswa yang memiliki kemampuan metakognitif rendah yang dipilih dengan teknik multi stage random sampling. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah quasi eksperimen dengan desain treatment by level 2x2 dan data yang diperoleh dianalisis dengan anova dua jalur. Hasil pengujian diperoleh fhitung > ftabel (58,93 > 4,10) menunjukkan bahwa terdapat interaksi antara penggunaan media mobile learning dan kemampuan metakognitif; fhitung > ftabel (10,94 > 4,10) menunjukkan terdapat perbedaan keterampilan proses sains pada kelompok siswa yang menggunakan mobile learning dan pembelajaran tradisional; qhitung > qtabel (10,98 > 4,33) menunjukkan terdapat perbedaan keterampilan proses sains siswa yang menggunakan media mobile learning dengan siswa yang menggunakan pembelajaran tradisional pada kelompok siswa yang memiliki kemampuan metakognitif tinggi dan qhitung > qtabel (4,37 > 4,33) menunjukkan terdapat perbedaan keterampilan proses sains siswa yang menggunakan media mobile learning dan siswa yang menggunakan pembelajaran tradisional pada kelompok siswa yang memiliki kemampuan metakognitif rendah.

Abstract

Environmental learning during COVID-19 experienced a change to e-learning. The use of learning models must be compatible; one model that can be chosen was the ILMIZI model. In addition to learning the concept of COVID-19, students must also be able to implement it in the form of Pro-Environmental Behavior (PEB) COVID- 19. The purpose of this study was to analyze descriptively about PEB-COVID-19 and also analyze the potential of ILMIZI to be applied in e-learning. The research conducted using a descriptive method. The sample was 148 Junior High School students located in Bekasi City and Bandung city. The data was collected online using Google form. The results showed that the PEB-COVID-19 student score was already in the very high category. While the results of the analysis show that the ILMIZI model allows it to be used in e-learning. This study concluded that the score of PEB-COVID-19 students was still in the very low category and the use of the ILMIZI model was one form of learning innovation. Abstract

ABSTRACTEcoliteracy needs to be given to children from an early age, to reduce various environmental problems caused by humans. For this reason ecoliteration needs to be considered in early childhood, especially children aged 5-6 years. This research is a literature study by examining literature from various sources such as articles from journals, books and scientific works. The results of the study indicate that the age of 5 years is a good start to introduce ecoliteration in children. Children who have ecoliteration or ecological literacy will become a generation that can be responsible for the surrounding environment. Keyword: Ecoliteracy, Early ChildhoodABSTRAKEcoliteracy perlu diberikan kepada anak sejak usia dini, untuk memgurangi berbagai masalah lingkungan yang disebabkan oleh manusia.  Untuk itu perlu memahami ecoliteracy pada anak usia dini, khususnya anak usia 5-6 tahun. Penelitian ini   merupakan penelitian studi literatur dengan menelaah literatur dari berbagai seumber seperti artikel dari jurnal, buku dan karya ilmiah.  Hasil studi menunjukkan bahwa usia  5 tahun adalah awal yang bagus untuk mengenalkan ecoliteracy pada anak.  Anak yang memiliki ecoliteracy atau melek ekologi akan menjadi generasi yang dapat bertanggung jawab dengan lingkungan sekitarnya. Kata Kunci: Ecoliteracy,  anak usia dini.
